My wife and I were really disappointed. First of all, they are far more expensive than any other ice cream place I’ve ever been to. We paid $ 6.25 for a regular size.($ 5.25 for small, $ 7.25 for large). They probably justify this because you get unlimited mix ins, but you can only add so much mix ins to ice cream before it destroys its taste. We also didn’t like the ice cream that well. There are plenty of store-bought ice creams that are better. A lot of people liken this place to Cold Stone, but Cold Stone is much better. Lastly, they were stingy on the ice cream. Most stores will fill the ice cream higher than the cup you get it in, but this place didn’t even fill up the cup completely. I would not recommend this Marble Slab Creamery.

If you like cold stone creamery you will like this place. Tucked away a little bit and it was dead on a holiday Sunday night.

I love Marble Slabs, however, I was very disappointed in our trip there today. Maybe it was just the day, but the service left a lot to be desired. The girl who wound up helping me stared at us for maybe thirty seconds before I asked her if I could try something. As she was helping me I just felt like I was being rushed and was a burden to her. Mind you, it was only my husband and I in there, and they still had an hour till close. My husband, who was helped by a fellow I assume was the manager, wasn’t even asked if he wanted add-ins, which if you go to any Marble Slab, is kind of a big deal. When I paid the girl who had been helping me was very annoyed by the fact I wanted a receipt also, which was awkward. I am giving this place a three because though the service was not on point, it was tidy and still had the flavors I love.

Went in seeking a small, single serving cup of ice cream. Left with a ladle full! Small store but noticeable from 61 street. Staff of two were polite, pleasant and greeted us, and eager to serve us. We asked for and received several samples. I usually always get anything peanut butter related but opted for praline this time. I wasn’t disappointed. Although it was a bit soft, the praline ice cream was rich, creamy, was complimented well by the waffle bowl I got. Many toppings were available but I decided to keep it simple and pass. Several families were in/out while we were there, so seems like locals enjoy. At $ 5-$ 6 per serving + $ 1 – 2 per cone or bowl, it’s definitely more expensive than we expected going in but the scoops were Huge! Total for two was $ 9. We ready to be sated on ice cream alone, or better yet, share with someone special!

Stopped by for a sweet Saturday treat and it really hit the spot. I had the caramel sundae with praline ice cream and heath bar mixed in. The warm caramel really made the dessert complete. My dining partner had a coffee ice cream with almonds and pralines with caramel as well. There was strong coffee flavor and the nuts were nice and crisp. As the other reviewer said the only downside was the price, about $ 15 combined. It still made for a nice treat.

If you have ever been to Coldstone, this place is pretty much the same. They have lots of flavors which is cool. I had a sweet cream/birthday cake milkshake with cookie dough mixin. And especially if you like really thick milkshakes, they do a GREAT job! The only reason for me giving 4 out 5 is that it is expensive… my regular milkshake was just about $ 5 and a single scoop cup is almost the same!
