BADSERVICE! So far I’ve been just sitting here for 10mins waiting on a server get to help us. I have 12 people with me. Looks a like a gray head manager just looking at us. He went looking for a server and looked like no one wanted to help us. Very slow Sunday night. We had this young black lady helping us with an ugly face. I can just feel the negative attitude. Omg we order mango tea and brought us unsweet tea & no straws. Now they ran out of chips at 9:30pm when they close at 11pm. Her face expression just making mad but I’m keeping my coolness. Let’s see if they do have fried pickles. So we decided to leave this service was horrible. BADSERVICEONCEAGAIN!

(2016 Unilocal 100 Challenge #1) I don’t review certain places because they are pretty much well known but I felt compelled to write one for this Chili’s based on a New Year’s Day visit for dinner with fam. As far as Chili’s goes, this one was one of the best I have been to lately. Of course, every restaurant is pretty much packed on this day. We came in after finding a parking spot pretty quickly. We had to expectantly wait for a table to open up which was fine. All in all, I want to say the service was great! I mean people weren’t in overdrive or overkill on the niceties but they certainly got the job done. I liked that they were sweeping around a lot. They did so under our table minutes before we actually were seated. I say this because a restaurant with poor management can let those details slip amidst the crowd. Here they did not! The hostess handled the numbers coming through the door and our waitress was very efficient and thorough as well amongst what was surely a full section all night for her. To take the kicker, all of our food came out hot and fresh which again can often not be the case in such a crowded, heavy hitting day and time. Usually, you almost secretly wait for the fumble. We put our kid orders in first along with an appetizer because the kiddos were turning into Hulks if you know what I mean. I snagged a few french fries because Chili’s fries(especially fresh which these were and oh so perfectly seasoned) are one of my favorites and hey that’s what Aunt’s do, right? Our appetizer was the Triple Dipper and we chose sliders(delish!), fried pickles(delicioso) and southwestern egg rolls. Again the appetizer came out hot and fresh. A major plus — because cold food is no bueno particularly fried food. After my inner struggle with indecisiveness, I put my money on the Pick Three plate and chose the sour cream chicken enchilada, chicken quesadillas and salad. Hot food was hot and the salad was so nice and big with mixed greens and spinach(cause who loves iceberg!). Beans and rice were on point as usual. Club soda to drink. All in all the food was wonderful! The service was very reactive and gracefully handled our party of 5 in a crowded and busy night. I also loved the screens they have on each table. You can view the menu, pay for games and settle up your bill. I must admit I had a time playing SpaceApes, I believe it was called, with the nephew. I also love what they’ve done with the menu. I am sure these changes have been there for a while but I am not a frequenter of Chili’s like I was when I was younger but it makes me want to put it back in the rotay! Kudos to this Chili’s and their management team and team members! Keep up the good work! I would recommend this location and would likely return.

CUSTOMERSERVICEISHORRIBLE!!! I placed an online order for a bowl of soup. Order was confirmed. Arrived at the restaurant and all doors locked. I knocked on the glass door as there were still lots of customers in the restaurant– the servers just passed me without acknowledging me at all. I finally called the restaurant and a young lady said they closed at 9:00 and they were not taking any orders. I said its 10 after and I ordered soup. She hung up the phone. Anytime I am feeling under the weather I always get chicken enchilada soup from here… but I never will again! Do not patronize this establishment– RUDE!!! And I will be writing corporate about this!

I’ve been to this Chili’s a couple of times now, and it just comes down to Customer Service. Because Really, all the Chili’s have the same food. Cooked the same way. What makes the difference between a good Chili’s and a bad Chili’s is just customer service. & I can’t say this has the worst customer service but it also doesn’t have the greatest. We stood at the front for at least 5 – 7 minutes before someone came up to seat us, we almost just grabbed menus and sat ourselves, but I don’t recognize the new system that they use to see which sections have which server. & we didn’t want to sit ourselves at the bar, so we waited. FINALLY one of the servers noticed us and sat us at his table. I’d say our server was okay, wasn’t very attentive and the restaurant wasn’t busy. We were one in about 4 tables. It was between lunch and dinner time so I know they are the«closers» for the lunch shift before the«openers/starters» for the dinner shift come in. However, the place was empty, there were a few people at the bar and that was it. I don’t expect the server to be on us the entire time, but I hate it when I have to wait to get the servers attention to get a refill on my drink. Especially when I’m sitting there waiting for at least 5 minutes and I can’t see our server anywhere. It also took an unusually long time to get the food we ordered… which was soup and a Panini for me and just the soup for my girlfriend. & I know for a fact that their soup sits back there in a warmer so all it takes is to go back there, scoop it into a bowl, sprinkle the toppings on top, and bring it out. Other than that, the food was good. No problems with that, just up your Customer Service please: D

I grew up with the ORIGINAL Chili’s in Dallas 40 years ago & this is NOT the Chili’s I loved back then. HOWEVER Chili’s today is not the same Chili’s that struggled to find itself a few years ago. Menu is fresh, rich, and filled with delicious options for any diner. Our experience at THIS location was NOTHING like the whining & complaints listed below. Our server was great! She greeted upon seating, was attentive throughout our meal. Drinks were kept fresh, food delivered without much wait, and the meal was excellent. We will definitely be back!

I wish I could take my money back. Ok let’s start off with the receptionist. She was standing there with her phone in her hand for about 2 minutes before she even acknowledged my family and I. So I finally walked up to her and said I need seating for 4. Took 15 minutes when I could clearly see there was tables empty and clean. We sat down one woman asked for our drinks 5 minutes later our server finally shows up and asks us for our drinks. There is no communication or any help between the servers we asked for chips n queso. That came out pretty fast. So our server sees some people she knew and sits with them And starts talking about how she– her words«fought some hoe» and how her babies daddy was f**king her and that’s why they fought. Remember I have my kids there if I can hear it so can they! 20 minutes later she finally came back and asked if we were ready to order. By then it’s 9:30 too late to leave and too late to try to find anything else to eat we place our order 15 minutes later she comes back and gives us our food it’s cold but by then I just gave up I’m HANGRY she sits back down with her friends and starts talking about –her words«my ex n***a has been trying to get it in» and some more bs. I had to turn around and call her and asked for some ranch she left for 10 minutes and comes back with some ranch I’m more than half way done with my food and didn’t acknowledge our drinks being empty in the 45 minutes we were there. I finally stopped the manager and asked her for our drinks. She noticed and came back to the table apologizing and asked if she was ignoring us that she doesn’t mean to. So she brought each of us 2 drinks so that she doesn’t have to pay attention to us for a while and sits with her friends again I tipped her 0 $ and I will never go there again. I don’t remember her name but if I see her working some where else I’d rather just walk out. f**k this Chili’s.

I’m a chills fan no matter what location. The menu has such a wide variety of items, that no matter what you are in the mood for chances are you will find it here! My favorite is the chile mango chicken with rice. It is so different and so good! Also if you’re a mango fan like me, try the sweet mango tea. It’s the best I’ve found! If you’re not. Mango fan, try sprite with a splash of berry in it. It’s so good! This location tends to have a bad rep of not so great customer service and a very slow wait time. Which is for the most part true. I feel that are understaffed and maybe could use a pep talk in customer service. Waiter and waitress are hit and miss here. Some are wonderful(like the one we had this round). I can’t remember her name, but she was great! Either way chilies quality of food has always been good to me and I know I will be back for sure!

Our service was terrible. We waited a little over an hour for our food; there’s nothing like seeing people being seated, eating, and then leaving before you even get your food. Half of us were served first with food that was lukewarm and dry. The rest of us was served 20 minutes later. The manager made an appearance to us but did absolutely nothing and wasn’t very apologetic at all. I will give a shout out to the waitress who was upstanding. That’s where the one star comes from. Never going to go to this Chiles again

First off, this place doesn’t even deserve this one star. We just got our food to go and when we got home, all of our food to one of our meals was not all there. We drove from Midlothian and back when we came to this realization. When we called to ask if we could get a refund for this meal, he told us they would have to take a look at our meal in order to give a refund because we could be lying. Why would we let our food get cold, while wasting our time talking to this manager, if we were lying??? Since he was not complying with his customers, my mother asked for this«manager’s» name and he would not give it to us. After asking about three different times for his name, he hung up on us saying, «I will not give you my name». Now, the only reason we get our food to go here is because the servers are terrible. Also, the food isn’t even that great to start off with. We will NEVER eat here again after this experience.

In my opinion this place needs help! The service sucks and so does the food here. Chips are cold and greasy. The tea is horrible. Not for sure the manager is even on duty here.

Looked understaffed. Queso we ordered was cold and thick. Manager took it and disappeared. We left. This is the second time the service and food was bad.

Went there after snow day. Seated quickly and waiter was great and attentive with even being short-handed. Hubby and I decided we needed a salad and went with the Unlimited Soup and Salad! The House salad was great but had too many croutons, so I removed half. The Soup was way too Salty and tasted like from a can! I had to add water to my chicken tortilla soup which was thick and piled with too many totilla strips! Hubby had the potato soup that he enjoyed and hated it when I tasted his. The southwest chicken was left on the table after I tasted it and decided no to the thick salty mountain of dry salty tortilla strips and gooey thick cheese. I couldn’t taste the veggies or meat for the other stuff. I wish I could combine Olive Garden soup and Chili’s House Salad and it would be perfect.

I truly enjoyed my meal and service. Both the kitchen manager and floor manager made a personal visit to my table when I notified them of my shrimp allergy. This has been the best treatment at a restaurant in a very long time. I would recommend them to anyone.

Let me start by saying, I LOVECHILI’S, just not this one. Food is pretty much what you’d expect if you go to Chili’s but the service is where this one differs. Our server was gone like the wind after he grabbed the drinks and the only time we did see him, was when he brought the check. I’m big on service when I dine out(thats what I’m tipping for right?), but if your just looking for food and a check then this is your spot.

The food was bleh-could be my fault since I order a pizza at a place like this, but still-it was sooo bland. The service was right above the level of being bad and this was when it wasn’t packed… I just wasn’t impressed by it at all.

There’s nothing wrong with the food or service here. It’s more so the clientele. So many of the patrons are rude and inconsiderate, especially the large parties. I came in to eat recently and the noise level was absolutely insane. There were tons of kids/babies crying and parents wouldn’t do anything about it. And on top of that there’s always groups of young high school kids who are loud and obviously don’t know how to keep their voices down. One other thing that bugs me is they still allow smoking at this location. I thought smoking was banned in all of Dallas county, but unfortunately not. I guess maybe because Cedar Hill borders Ellis County? Who knows? Anyway, I did have one good experience a while back here. The server I had named Chris was awesome and took really good care of my table. He was attentive but didn’t hoover over my entire meal. Each time I ordered a cocktail, he brought it over in a timely manner as well. I haven’t seen him the last few times I’ve been here, but I recommend asking for him.
