Just moved here from the Bay Area where my barber was one of my good friends for over 6 years. So coming to a new state and finding a new barber would be challenging. So I found this place right beside my house and decided to check it out since I could actually walk to it. Got in and Manny was ready for me. Super friendly and talkative, just what I look for in a barber. Very nice shop with an old school feel. Manny took his time and cleaned me up nicely. I’ll be back for sure.

Brought my husband here for a much needed haircut. How impressive — the barber took more than a half an hour to meticulously cut and shave him. He left feeling like a new man and will be back!

It was a hit and a miss for me. My first time, John cut my hair. He spent a lot of time, making sure it looked good, asking me how I felt about it.
I went back again this week, hoping to get the same results. This time a lady cut my hair. I came out with an uneven haircut with high and abrupt sideburns.
I had to go back to another place, to get my hair fixed.

I’m usually at one end of the spectrum as far as my hair is concerned. On one end we’ve got the «no haircut at all, for months/​years at a time», which I’m recently coming off of. The other would be the «number 1 guard short, needs maintenance almost weekly», which I can easily do at home. Well, I’m not feeling either of those looks recently, and I don’t trust my own (or my wife’s) skills enough to attempt a fade.
Manhood barber shop opened recently not far from my home, next to the expanding (yet again!) Gyro House Mediterranean Grill. On a whim, I decided to stop in there a month or so ago and check it out. Very clean, comfortable shop with all new chairs, nice big TVs on the wall, etc. John cut my hair that day, and he was about the most affable barber I’ve ever visited. He did an *outstanding*, meticulous job on my hair. I was fairly blown away. It’s obvious he’s a perfectionist, and it shows. I was entirely pleased. They have all the typical, traditional barber shop offerings, including hot shave, trim, buzz; everything you’d expect.
I think the name of the place is a bit goofy, but that’s splitting hairs (HAH, see what I did there?!). As long as I keep the fade up, I will not hesitate to visit Manhood time and again. A+!

I got a great cut by Tony a few weeks ago. He’s a real pro. I got several compliments. I’ll definitely be going back.

I have been in Hillsboro for over a year now, and I have had trouble trying to find the right barber shop that is worth every dollar and minute. I stumbled upon this little neighborhood jewel when I stopped for some coffee on my way home from work during rush hour. Surprisingly, there were not a whole lot of people waiting, and I had the wonderful experience of having John cut my hair! I take my fades seriously, and just because a barber spends 40 minutes working on it, means nothing to me unless it is sharp and crisp! John was spot on with his work, and pretty quick as well! Probably the best fade I have had in a long time, and it was reasonably priced. To close it out, John gave me a hot lather straight edge shave, which caused no irritation on my sensitive skin! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a quality cut!

Best cuts in town. I’ve had Manny cut my hair for years and will continue to come to his new business. Friendly atmosphere, clean shop, and easily the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. Manny takes his time and does quality work. You won’t regret coming here.

Great place reasonable prices friendly atmosphere old barbershop feeling 4 big screen tvs not to mention the tight fades and crispy line ups I will always come back to them I look forward to many more haircuts in the future. A must go to spot in the Beaverton /​Hillsboro area

5 Stars to this new shop and 10 stars to Manny! Best cut in town. Thats Why I keep coming back. He takes his time and does it right. No Lose hairs, no uneveness my cut is near perfect each and ever time. Come visit him and John!

Today could have ended with a botched haircut. I had just received a haircut from a notable salon in The Pearl that did not live up to my expectations.
I had recalled seeing an advertisement in The Clipper for a new barber shop near my house. The phrase on the advertisement «We fix stupid cuts» came to mind. «What the hell, how much worse could my hair get.»
30min later, I’m sitting in the seat of a master. From the moment the neck tissue and barber cape were placed on me, I knew I was in good hands. John gave me one of the most meticulous and thorough «repair» cuts I’ve ever received. I would argue that my cut with John took longer than my full haircut in The Pearl.
Superb attention to detail, inviting/​clean atmosphere, and classic barber shop experience. Highly recommend this barber shop.

Pretty slick haircut I got here! They’re still in their grand opening but I’m definitely coming back.
I decided to randomly try them out since the normal place I go to is closed on the weekends. I was a bit nervous with this being a new place for me but I don’t regret one bit of it. The barber gave me exactly what I wanted. He kept checking in with me through the cut too just to make sure everything was looking good.
Great service and great cut. Recommend to everybody!
