Does what it says on the tin. This sushi train is usually busy so the sushi should be fresh. I usually have sashimi, so can’t comment much on the rest. The vegetable tempura and vegetable sitting rolls are good.

Try their salmon volcano. It is not in the menu. Service is fast. Prices are reasonable. The train is fast. Act fast and furious.

Pretty standard sushi train restaurant. Certainly nothing extraordinary about the venue(no ambience), service(very minimal and snappy) or food… BUT if you are looking for a cheap filling meal for $ 15 per head, this is the place. They do take away from the sushi train as well, so perfect for a quick meal after work or before catching a movie nearby.

Gotta say, there isn’t too much to rave on about at this place. It was ‘average’. You wouldn’t go here to put your taste buds on a roller coaster. If you’re hungry, you’ll fill up the tummy(at a slightly higher pice point for the quality), but won’t walk away wanting to book yourself in for your next dinner here. Staff weren’t very attentive or engaging, the ambiance was flat, and the food was average(no real ‘special rolls’ available). Highlight of the session was that we had a 25% off voucher(which we revealed at the end) that made us feel better about paying the right price for what we got. They could easily work on a few things and bump up their popularity in no time!!!

Sushi Train is one of the coolest places to go and eat. It isn’t too pricey, you get full very quickly and TRUST me, there is a nice large range of dishes available: D — but the conveyer belt? Fastest one I have ever come across! When I visited them, I would turn my head for a second and BAM! My sushi would be gone. Consolation was that it became a game almost with my mates and they were generously loading the train so that the same dish came by again quickly! The sushi itself available was very fresh, the veges crunchy and it left a lovely aftertaste in the mouth! I also didn’t feel heavy at all, despite eating a lot of curry puffs(it’s a weakness and so crispy and delicious!) Overall, I would totally go back there! Just me, my lack of chopstick ability and the game of trying to catch your food!

Has the usual sushi selection but this sushi train is a freight train without brakes. Good in that I don’t have to wait long for the plate I want but most of the time I do miss it cause it’s so damn fast. Then the person across the room grabs the last plate arghhhhh. Just jokes, food is good and if you don’t get the last plate just ask one of the lovely waitresses and they will make one fresh for you. Wish they had more varieties of fish and selection of sushi. Guess they’re playing safe, great place to introduce virgin sushi eaters to.

This is definitely not a sushi train. More like a sushi Shinkansen. The speed of the sushi carrying conveyer belt is faster than at any other sushi train I’ve seen. If you’re like me and need a few seconds to decide if that’s the plate you’d like then by the time you make the decision the plate is already long gone. On the positive side though it doesn’t take long for the plate to come back around if it hasn’t been snatched up along the way. We went on a Saturday night which you would typically associate as the peak time of operation for restaurants but yet they were out of 75% of their non sushi menu. Limited udon to choose from. No ramen. No rice bowls. Much disappointment. Sticking to the sushi I thought it was quite good. Everything tasted fresh and the saucy ones had good flavour to them. Selection wise I thought it was a bit limited when compared to other sushi train places. Their hand rolls could do with some better flavours similar to what they have at makoto. So maybe it’s that we eat a lot but I think it’s more the prices but for two we spent about $ 60 and were full but not like we were stuffed. So a bit on the expensive side for something as simple as sushi. Thank goodness for the entertainment card!

It’s fast sushi, always a good selection on the train. Sashimi looks and tastes fresh. Great mixes of chicken, eel, avocado, cucumber, deserts, crab. Suited to small groups. Any more than 5 and it gets a bit cramped. Mixed popularity, so some nights you can be waiting if there are more than 3 of you. Can book ahead if you want. Wasabi and soy sauce on tap, for the drowners out there. Lower score because of the atmosphere. Good for a quiet chat, lighting is very strong, so if you are self conscious, not the best. The cooks in the centre don’t seem the happiest, so the no joy from them does give an aura about the place.

Love sushi bay! Alway a cool place to go for a snack or a meal. Most of the sushi is nice and fresh and the staff happy to help. Only bummer is the sashimi I tried was warm and tasted like stale tofu. Warm stale tofu. Eew.

For lovers of Japanese foods, there is probably a Sushi Bay near you. Their food is always fresh, you can see them making it in front of you. Originally known as Sushi Train, they have improved the menu and the way the food is served. They now serve udon soup so you don’t have to eat raw fish if you don’t like it. The only problem is that now, in Castle Hill at least, they get so busy its sometimes hard to find a seat. Fortunately Japanese sushi doesn’t take long to eat, so if you’re prepared to wait around someone will soon leave. They also make great platters for parties.
