I would give it five stars, but it’s hard to justify the price. Great salon, super clean. Staff was very knowledgeable and took their time. I felt confident polish wasn’t watered down, but paying more than double the going rate seems just too high. I thought one of the big city perks was cheap manicures, but not here. Maybe for a special occasion

Love this place! Great service. Best mani pedi I’ve had. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. My nails are really soft and often break but when I started going here they got much better. Definitely go!

I’ve been on the search for a good manicure place in my areas on London. I judge a good manicure on whether I could do one better myself.
At Marcela’s ‘you get what you pay for’ definitely applies. I walked in for a Shellac manicure and walked out with an Artistic manicure (think they’re similar). It was not cheap, £50, but for a manicure that lasts me three weeks and took over an hour to do, I think it is almost justified.
My therapist did an awesome job. Very neat, very careful and she shaped my nails to the exact shape I asked for. The gel was applied very precisely with no ragged edges, something that has happened elsewhere when I’ve had shellac done. She also didn’t hack away at my cuticles and the skin around my nails, which is a real bugbear of mine: I don’t have a lot of excess cuticle, why cut for the sake of cutting?
I rate this place in spite of the cost. Tip: they are always book up so worth calling ahead.

Since moving from the States I think it is near impossible to find a decent place for a manicure and pedicure for great service and value. While the treatments are a little on the steeper end (probably because they are located in Kensington) I think it is well worth the treat. I believe it is Marcela herself who runs the front of house and my is this place organized! What appears to look like a tiny shop front is actually a maze of rooms below with a large spa room and other smaller rooms for private treatments. The girls working here are efficient and professional and the atmosphere is relaxing. Go with your girlfriends for an afternoon treat!
Ok, even updating the review because this place is so good and professional… Went back again and again and although pricey I don’t think you will find better in London, and I would know!
