Toni & Guy

I’d have to agree with Catriona on this one, this is a really good hairdressers but not one to visit if you’re only looking for a trim. Unfortunately, this was what I did sometime ago but due to glowing reports from a few separate friends I recently decided to give it another go.
Boy, am I glad I did. The problem being that I got a drastic hair cut a few years ago and am now desperately attempting to grow it back. However, this takes time and with time comes boredom. Hence, the need for another more ‘drastic’ cut rather than an a trim or tidy up.
Luckily, these hairdressers understood what I meant (I have encountered the”. but you realise we’ll need to take quite a bit off. Eh, but I thought you said you wanted to grow it?”). I wasn’t rushed, they listen to me and then suggested a few items which would result in more cutting than ideal but would suitably change my look while also allowing my hair time to grow. Excellent.
It was a good hair cut, the staff were excellent and I walked out with a bounce in my step. All good. Perhaps, a little bit more on the pricey side, but if you are contemplating getting something actually done with your hair — well worth it.

I’m usually put off by cool salons because they can be intimidating, but this branch of Tony and Guy couldn’t have a friendlier bunch of staff!
I went in here as a hair model once so the trainee could learn how to do highlights. The guy did my hair to an extremely high standard and it was still free! They also advertise often for hair models who will walk out with an «adventurous haircut». I’ve seen the results of these and they actually look brilliant.
If you’re not brave enough to go for the chop, haircuts will cost you but they are definitely worth every penny. The staff are really friendly, they play to your strengths and give you a cut that’s not only flattering for your face, but they consider what’s best for your hair. What’s more, they don’t push products on you and they listen to what you want done. Unbelievably, you can occasionally get standbys but since it’s such a high quality salon, you sometimes have to wait a week or so for an appointment.
Toni and Guy’s reputation as a salon chain is kept strong by this branch on Great Western Road.

Toni & Guy has a good reputation and deservedly so. They are friendly, professional and take your hair very seriously.
I decided to treat myself to a Toni and Guy haircut when I was wanting something a little different to my usual ‘inch off the ends, please.’ My hairdresser gave good advice and a good cut.
Toni & Guy isn’t cheap, and so I wouldn’t recommend it for a trim or tidy up (especially when there is an abundance of cheaper hairdressers in the area), but it’s a good place to go if you need some guidance and are looking for something a little more drastic.
