Not great. The food is average, there needs to be more staff as it is usually busy.

Pretty pitiful! I had a fillet burger and chips, both of which were cold, and the chips had become soggy. Staff at the counter were highly disorganised and didn’t know whose order was whose! They even questioned my friend about her order when she had a recipt in her hand with the correct one! Never again.

You’ve been shopping for a few hours, your feet tingle, your hands are red raw and what’s that, a rumble from your tummy. Time to eat, but what do you fancy? A light lunch, green tossed salad or a big lump of chicken with some slurpy gravy and cola to wash it all down. KFC is the only answer and its new premises in the city centre are right on your shopping doorstep. The recently finished food outlet carries over the usual features of KFC, with all the favourite meal deals and a variety of burgers to choose from. The take away option could have you eating your meal in City Hall while the tables inside over two floors could save you from eating in the rain. When I popped in recently the cleanliness of the store was definitely evident but this does come with new buildings, hopefully it lasts.

This KFC is so new they don’t even have it on their website yet. Which isn’t surprising. If this was one of my children, I’d not have it in my family photo. I’d have it shot instead. The beauty of Belfast is that the buildings are big and traditional, that the bricks are all red and white and that the place looks like it has always looked. The problem of this is that on the very bottom of these beautiful buildings, someone has decided to ram in a KFC. A big, red, Kentucky style KFC right in the middle of a high-street which was usually fashionable. I am aware that many of these buildings are infact shops. But some, like Primark, still have the original look of the old Bank that used to be there. KFC have taken every consideration for what used to be here 200 years ago and then stuck a big red sign in the middle of it and thought«yee-haa who cares? you want a zinger burger tower deal box with beans that aren’t even nice but you still get them anyway because you don’t trust the gravy?» KFC is nice. It’s a fact. But to stick one slap-bang on the main street looks tacky and totally out of keeping with what our forefathers and our five-fathers used to have there. Good food. Shameful positoning.
