We went for desserts. Wow were they good! And they looked great, too. Now I want to go for dinner. The service was a little on the slow side, but not bad. Worth a visit.

An interesting meal in a very nice area. The menu contains several exotic options. We were a large group and some plates seemed to be much better than others. It is probably best to speak with your server to ensure that you enjoy the dishes that you order.

Waste of money!!! The only thing good was the wine which the chef didn’t prepare! The vindaloo had zero spice to it yet the waiter said it was spicy the food was horrible and tasteless and definite not worthy of another visit!!!

A nice, cosy place for the open minded eater. It’s a very interesting mix of different cuisines, so it’s not very clear cut what you will get. Nonetheless, everything tastes great. They’ve got exotic meats and vegetables, but also regular dishes with a twist. If you do come here, try to keep an open mind and order something that you haven’t had before. It’s definitely not for those with very selective tastebuds.

Beautiful experience in every way. Food presentation was colorful and creative. The silverware was unique. Their wine pairings were right on. Thoroughly enjoyed this dinner.

Very nice cozy restaurant, African theme in the design, very nice service and staff. Having read the reviews I was expecting better tasting and more impressive food. Very nice presentation of the meals and there is a certain research in the process, however there was something missing in the taste department. The deserts were awesome.

I went there with my hubby for his belated birthday — TGIS dinner:) We had a wonderful dinner and a great experience overall. Where to start… start with making a reservation. they get pretty busy especially in the weekend. if you really would like a nice table then ask for one in serre — their internal garden area. As mentioned by many before, the restaurant doesn’t offer standard menu items… so you would look long and hard for carpaccio, chicken sate, hamburger, etc. instead you can order an array of tasty and unusual dishes. You can either order 1 or two courses or go for a 3 course menu, or umami — tasting menu, surprise. We decided to get a three-course menu. You can select from the long menu list with some dishes having an extra charge. I went for burrata with smoked tomatoes to start with — the dish was served in a glass hidden inside a can of peeled tomatoes — great concept. Burrata was juicy and smoked tomatoes were a great addition to the taste. As a main — Japanese sake bentobox — I got a lot of small dishes including edamame, salmon with teriyaki sauce — it was just melting in my mouth, fish soup, seaweed salad and salmon sushi. My main was very tasty, however when I tasted my husband’s dish — aboriginal kangaroo steak — I knew that he made a better choice. For dessert — sgroppino with tropical passion fruit — it was ok, just refreshing end of dinner. To drink — bottle of house selection red wine — it was sooo good.flavorsome. The service was very good as well. All staff were very friendly and helpful with explanations of the dishes, wine suggestion, dishes suggestions.etc.all in all we spent around 3 hours in Specktakel and didnt get an idea that we had to wait for any dishes. we just had a wonderful time and great experience. I am looking forward to the next occasion/excuse to go to Specktakel again. Maybe something like. lets go to Specktakel to celebrate. TODAY:)

Absolutely brilliant place. I’m vegetarian and normally don’t expect too many options in a place like this, but Specktakel did not disappoint. I ordered the fixed vegetarian three-course menu. There are two options for each of the First and Main — I went for Japanese for both courses. The presentation of the food was beautiful, while the flavours were very different from regular fare and truly spectacular. For dessert, I had the coconut cheesecake, which was tasty. However, the best part of the meal for me was the coconut and straciatella ice cream which accompanied the cheesecake. I would go back just for that ice cream! The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the food, which improved the experience. Two thumbs up for Specktakel and recommended if you want to try something different.

I just love this place! Instead of having some usual dishes(steak /sateh with some fries) they have very interesting combinations: steak from kangaroo, bapao bread with crocodile, etc The staff here is super friendly and really knows everything about the dishes they are serving. Also the wines they have are excellent! We decided to take a bottle of an Australian Shiraz and really loved it. Our waiter was happy that we were happy with our choice, and even came back with some other bottles that he could recommend if we liked this wine :) The food was just amazing! I started with the steamed bread with a crocodile curry and had the kangaroo steak as the main dish. After the waiter came to take the plates I told him that I just had one remark about the dish: they should be BIGGER :) There actually was nothing left on my plate again and I think I even started to take of the top-layer of the stone of the plate because it still had some flavor :) The dessert was a Caribbean cheesecake and if it is still on the menu, really can recommend it. Actually used my fingers to get the last bits of taste out of the plate, because it was so good :) Because this place has such good food, it is quite busy. Really recommend making a reservation if you want to eat here.

They serve coca cola in 200ml small bottle, I prefer usual common tin can which is 300ml, not that much different, but u get the idea. They really took their time to serve the meal, appetizer I waited 10 min, after that the main course came in another 10 minutes. My attaché didn’t ask them for well-done and they didn’t ask either because the chef decides everything, which is understandable. They politely reminded that it might be a bit tough. 3 minutes later, the microwaved version served, it was perfect. The highlight came in the desert, Macaroni with chocolate jam filled with nuts, frozen yogurt mixed with whipped cream with berries on the side. It saved this rating.

Truly a spectacle if you are bored with normal restaurants this is the spot for you. If you have a selective taste this is probably not something for you.
