A modern decorated pizza restaurant with a simple concept: Serve a qualitative good pizza. And they do! The pizza funghi was very tasteful (although not the best pizza I have ever eaten). The price was on the high range (over 11 Euro’s per pizza on average). The service was adequate and fast.

Een modern aangekleed pizza restaurant, waarvan er in Amsterdam ook een aantal bevinden. Het concept is simpel: Het serveren van kwalitatief goede pizza’s en dat lukt ze heel erg goed. Zo goed dat het in Amsterdam nog wel eens lastig kan zijn om een plekje te krijgen, een belletje vooraf of er wel of geen plek is, is daarom niet overbodig.
De pizza [Funghi] smaakte erg goed (echter niet de lekkerste pizza die ik ooit heb gegeten, maar veel beter dan de gemiddelde pizza welke je in Nederland kunt krijgen). Echter vond ik het wel wat overpriced (De gemiddelde pizza is rond 11 Euro). De bediening was adequaat en snel.

My husband and I each got separate pizzas and loved them both. Very friendly staff and clean restaurant. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Wonderful bar side service as we hadn’t reserved ahead at this popular resto. The server gave our kids pizza dough to play with while waiting for the pizza to come out of the wood-​burning oven. The margarita and funghi choices were standouts. Light perfectly cooked crusts and delicious fresh ingredients made to exactness.

Really delicious thin-​crust pizza! This place was one of the busiest in town, and for s reason. However, when we arrived just before 7pm on a Sunday evening it was packed with pretty boisterous and wild kids, and it luckily cleared out with families by about 7:30pm. The noise level is really high in the restaurant unfortunately, but one of the waitresses was really friendly and the funghi pizza was absolutely amazingly! It’s reasonably priced and well worth it despite some of the ambiance issues.

Came back two days after I last ate here and was not disappointed. Need I say more?

Pizza bakkers as the name indicates is a great place to go when you feel like having a pizza for dinner. If you are one of the people that are stick to regular choices, like quattro formaggi, quattro stagioni, hawaii, etc. then you will be dissapointed. This place offer a limited range of pizza, but I am sure that whether you are vegetarian or meat lover you will always find your favourite one. They also have a «pizza of the month» special — each month a different type of pizza, outside the regular menu. I really like their pizza’s for thin crust and great taste. Make sure that you make a reservation on the weekends, as you might need to wait a moment for your table. If you rather feel like eating pizza in your cosy home you can also take away.

My wife and I once decided to try this place and boy were we happy we did :)
When they started, they had an extremely great deal for a glass of very nice prosecco. In the meantime, they have increased their prices for the drinks a bit, but it is still very reasonable.
Regarding their pizza’s, it is not like the typical pizza place where you have 40 different pizza’s in all kinds of flavors. I think all in all they have about 10 or 15 different pizzas. Some of them are relatively traditional, but don’t expect a Quattro Formaggi (four cheeses) here. The pizza’s are very thin crusted, which I absolutely love.
Besides the pizza, the starters at this place are also very nice. Often we combine the pizza with a caprese salad (tomato and a very good buffalo mozzarella!) and a foccacia.
Have heard very good stories about one of their deserts, which is a calzone pizza (folded pizza) with chocolate inside.
In summer they have a couple of benches/​tables for dining outside. Because they don’t have too many places, they actually will encourage different groups to share a table outside. Sometimes you get to meet nice other people this way!
One thing you will have to keep in mind is that this place does not accept cash at all (except for the tips ;)), but you can only pay via Maestro/​PIN or with credit card!
