This was a nauseating experience! I have ordered a Shoarma and got a sandwich that even for a Döner had very bad meat in it. Unfortunately I was very hungry! Then it turned out that it was Döner indeed. They just do not distinguish. The hygienic conditions do not seem to be trustful at all. When I was eating, the owner was standing in the kitchen with a glowing cigarette in his mouth. For the rest of the night I was in hope to be able to vomit before I went to bed. But I finally could not. I don’t know how much I had to be paid to go to this place again. Well, okay, I was not poisoned…

I walk by this restaurant almost daily when I’m out walking my dog. Today, I decided to get a bit of lunch and something to drink. It’s one of those many hole in the wall type places with their menu pictured and plastered all over the walls outside and some inside. You might consider it the Turkish version of fast food. They don’t really have table service. You go to the counter to order your food. Then you sit down. When the food is ready it’s brought to you. I was looking for maybe a gyro or something like it and a drink but since the lamb stew was looking so tasty I opted for that and suddenly I was into a whole meal including bread, salad, rice and the stew. The bread was fresh, slightly crisp and wonderful to dip into the stew. The salad was lettuce, tomato, onion in a balsamic dressing. The rice was a yellow rice with almond in it perfect for spooning into the stew and adding to the meal. The stew itself was a lamb stew with green and red pepper, egg plant, potato and lamb. It was mildly spicy and very tasty. There is a lot more on the menu to choose from. The guy working there said they do awesome business late night due to the various night clubs on the street. So some nights they’re open to 1:00 am and others to 3:00 am. Yay for late night eats and they also deliver!
