Laaaawd have mercy, the food was really good. As an American, we really do not have a large Turkish population like the one you find in the Netherlands, so most of us are unaware of this amazing cuisine. I really enjoyed eating here with a friend. Well deserved 5 stars.

Probably one of the best eats I had while visiting the city. I have dreams about how good this place is. Even better after a night of drinking and walking around. The Chicken Shwarma was fantastic. I went here 5 times in 4 days. A+ Also open!

I always need my fix of Doner and Kababs, this place is open to 6am(huge plus) and has lots of seating, however I don’t think it’s great enough where I would come back again — unless it was 5 am and I was hungry! Portions are large, food is okay, a little too salty for me(needs more pita or Naan to balance it out I guess). Not bad, just not the best I’ve had for the money. There’s many other places to choose from, so personally I would not come back here again or recommend this place to others, but it wasn’t bad, I still ate a good portion of my food!

Ordered a falafel kebab. The service was pretty good. No fuss and speaks good English. I liked the food. Maybe a bit try, but they give you sauce on the side to add as you please.(I actually kind of liked it that way because it meant the kebab did not come drowned with sauce) The felafel was really really good.

Great food after the Red Light District, drunk. Nice proprietor, I’d recommend this place.

It isn’t Berlin döner, but it is the best I have had in Amsterdam. Sufficient area to sit down, friendly, and give you the sauce bottles to apply yourself. Short walk from the Dom and well worth it to get away from the tourist traps. We visit every time we are in town.

I’m a fan of most cuisines and Mediterranean cuisine is no different. This place is a little pricey for the entrée items but after trying the food, I’d say it’s justified. The sandwich section is the section where you can find the cheapest food on their menu. For 5 – 6 Euro, you can get lamb, chicken wraps and sandwiches that are on steroids and well worth the price. I can’t imagine the quantity they give for the dinner entrees(11 – 17 Euro). We dined it once here and carried out the other time. The food is great and adding their garlic sauce and hot sauce makes the food irresistible.

Sefa is a two minutes walk from my place, and we accidentally came upon it while discovering our neighborhood. And to our surprise this lil place was fully packed. And has some tasty non expensive options to try out. I had their kip grilled Broodje. And it was really good! Their doners are also quite nice. And they do give everything super fresh! So if you dont wanna spend too much but also wanna have a good meal, you should head on there!

My friend and I had just arrived in Amsterdam and hadn’t gotten a chance to grab dinner. By the time we made it out of our apartment, it was 11PM, and we were starving. We wandered around streets. Restaurants were closed. Bars were no longer serving food. One bartender recommended a convenience store. I refused. We searched on relentlessly for good food. I began to tire and suggested that we just look for a place where we could get hot chocolate and a pastry. We saw a light for a coffee shop, crossed the street, and walked straight in. You probably know what happened. I’m an idiot. This was not the kind of coffee shop I was looking for. We took one look at the menu and swiftly turned around. Discouraged, we decided we weren’t even that hungry anyway, and we began to walk back to a bus stop. Suddenly, I saw two guys eating these HUGE sandwiches at an outdoor table further down the street. «THERE’S FOOD!» I exclaimed, and we went toward them. Actually, the place they had gotten their sandwiches from was closed. But just behind them was Sefa. We hurried in. They were open. They had food. They had MEAT. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Both of us being lamb averse, my friend ordered the Turkish pizza, and I had a doner sandwich. When they brought out our food… my God. I can’t even describe this kind of happiness. That beautiful, dark meat. The overflowing pita. THEWHITESAUCE. IT was all perfect. I was(more than) full, and I was unbelievably content. We couldn’t believe our luck. Sefa is an absolute BLESSING on the streets of Amsterdam. You don’t need to be drunk to enjoy this. In fact, it’s probably better sober so that you can savor just how perfect these sandwiches are.

Great service and the dürüm döner was on point! I love that they offer a spicy sauce along with a tzatziki sauce so you can customize the heat & sauciness. Also, the wrap is legit & reminds me of a tortilla/burrito which I always crave when I’m in Europe. The cokes were ice cold and super carbonated.

Good service, good location, surprisingly comfortable and inviting décor(for what it is), and decent food. This is a decent, quick lunch stop if you are in the area and in the mood for some middle of the road middle eastern fare. The meats(shaorma, Adana kebap) didn’t trip my trigger unfortunately but the rice the meat is served with was pleasantly spot on.

Stopped here for lunch while touring Amsterdam based on the Unilocal recommendations — and got the durum doner for the same reason. Yum! The sandwich was great and huge, although light enough that it really didn’t leave me feeling overly full, unlike most American gyros or shawarma. The location puts it a few minutes’ walk from just about every tourist attraction in central Amsterdam, so there’s not reason not to make a stop here!

I think Sefa shoarma is one of the best in Amsterdam. Clean, nice staff, generous & tasty lamb meat, reasonable price(€ 5 for broodje /bread shoarma), and with bread instead of pita. 1 thing could be improved though: free salad bar

Nobody, I mean nobody makes a more delicious, scrumptious and hearty dürüm döner than Sefa Grill-Shoarma. Nobody. Lekker, lekker, lekker!!! While traveling in Amsterdam, I tried numerous other Turkish dürüm döner and the taste just wasn’t there. Sefa Grill-Shoarma is located right across from the beautiful Protestant church, Westerkerk. FYI: Rembrandt was buried in Westerkerk. It’s also right around the corner from Anne Frank’s house, literally right around the corner. You also must visit the«Homomonument», also around the corner. It’s a beautiful monument dedicated the gay community. Ok, enough of the tourist facts, let get back to what is important, dürüm döner!!! Sefa Grill-Shoarma servings are generous, I mean generous. Huge portions of meat are served in your Turkish burrito, AKA dürüm döner. You go in, order your food and go upstairs to the dining area and in a few moments the friendly staff will bring you this gigantic dürüm döner for only six Euros. Every bite is just perfect, so savoring. The staff will also provide you the yogurt sauce and a spicy sauce. Did I mention the generous portions!!! While you’re there, you have to try their french fries, AKA frites. Unlike french fries made in the states, they cook these thick fries only when you order them. They don’t sit underneath a heating lamp. They are absolutely delicious too. If you’re a local or a tourist roaming the beautiful city of Amsterdam, you must, you must, you must come to Sefa Grill-Shoarma. Like most Dutch restaurants they have WiFi, just ask for the code and they’re more than happy to give it to you.
