Solid little place with a great outdoor seating area across from Rembrandt Plaza. Enjoyed beers and appetizers while people watching. Highly recommended for the location and the service and food are satisfactory.

Ended up here after the Heineken tour, nice location, had a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was okay, nothing great. I had a Heineken as well which was fine, The pub was empty when I was there and they only had 1 waitress working which was interesting because it took some time to get our order and our check. Overpriced. But it is what one should expect at a tourist trap.

There was a brazilian soap opera filmed in Amsterdam and this was one of the places that some scenes were shot. I actually never visited it, so since this week I have some friends from Brazil over, they wanted to check it out. I think that the only thing I really liked a lot was the decoration. The vintage style and the«couch-like» seats are cozy and give he place a nice charm. Beside that, service is not exactly good. It took a long time for someone to come to our table and also when we wanted to pay it took almost twice as long. Didn’t try any food, but also don’t feel like coming back to try. Ow, and I almost forgot, pricewise is also not the cheapest. I’d say, come in, have one drink and then try the other bars in the area.

Nothing special. Just like the rest of the touristy bars on and around this block. Nice place to grab a beer and people-watch, and the bar inside is pretty cool looking.

We popped in on a cold evening for a beer and a bowl of soup. The tomato soup was delicious, and the source of both stars. Service was average, on par with the rest of Amsterdam. I asked for a glass of tap water and was told«we don’t do tap water.» We would have had at least one more beer and lingered a while, but the fact that I couldn’t have a glass of water and the attitude about it made me wrap it up and leave.

Nice and friendly service in a tourist location but the food was lacking. Got a panini and it just wasn’t that good… bread was burnt and the tomatoes were so hot it burned my mouth. Nice place to go for drinks(the mint tea was divine!) but skip the food… then again you can skip most of the food options in Amsterdam :)

We decided to have a few drinks at this place while waiting for another restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and the dark wood and leather seats make it cozy. They have a nice large patio that faces the square. We sat in the enclosed area at the front. We sat ourselves and were attended to quickly. We ordered 3 drinks, which came promptly. The washroom is hidden behind the bar. You enter via saloon doors and the space and stalls are pretty cramped. The hand dryer didn’t work and there was toilet paper all over the floor. We didn’t eat anything but what we did receive warrants 4 stars.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Or at least avoid having breakfast here. We ordered two big ones(«Three Sisters» and«English», for 10 € each). I have never been so shocked by the lack of quality — I have to admit that breakfast is the part of my timetable when my mood gets spoilt most easily. First of all, it is the first time that I see a complete breakfast served without hot drinks included. It seems to me the minimum expected standard! The worst of the two was the«three sisters»: one overbaked, brownish croissants, three pieces of dry white bread — so-called toasts, a tiny sample of plastic-packed, tasteless marmalade, an egg so boiled the yolk had turned green. The English one was slightly more according to tradition, except that they forgot to bring us the baked beans which were claimed in the menu. Service was slow, and absolutely careless. Otherwise, the place is in a perfect location(Rembrandtplein) and might be cosy, with its old-style furniture and leather armchairs.

Shouldn’t be too judgmental if we are just pouring beer here as new comers. But it took so long to get notiece from the waitress and the wifi is never working. Just wanna emphasis it is such a well-located spot, could do better with the service.

I ended up here on a rainy night, fairly late, during the week. The place was largely deserted, so I had the entire(huge) bar to myself. The bartender gave me a beer pretty quickly, and then the entire staff promptly disappeared. That’s fine with me, but I wanted like 6 more beers. I sat there for like 45 minutes, just relaxing after a long day trekking the city in the rain, watching some golf and MMA(heck of a combo, right?). At the end of this session, I realized that the music selection was so depressing. It was just like one depressing 90’s American song after another. Combine that with coming down after a long day(cough), being alone in a huge room and huge bar, and the rainy, dreary night… I plain got depressed. I waited for the bartender/staff and got the check immediately. So, I have one very isolated experience. This place does deserve more than 2 stars just based on the cool décor and location and size, but not from my visit. Sorry, guys.

How do you take wonderful location, awesome deco, relaxing interior, good selection at the bar, decent snacks, and mess it up? Just goto Three Sisters and take notes. Don’t get me wrong, this is a wonderful place to get together with friends and/or meet up tourists on the weekends, but only if you have zero expectations for decent service. Forget service, in my experience you are lucky if you don’t get snark from the staff. Maybe, just maybe, I went on a couple bad days, but I highly doubt it. If I was one of the 4 people serving customers in such a huge and busy space with no expectation of a halfway decent tip, I would probably behave similarly. Things are definitely better in the summer months when no amount of bad service could get in the way of you and enjoying the great weather.

Nice little pub connected to NH Caranza. Perfect place for sipping cocktails and other libations while you enjoy the view of Rembrandtplein. We arrived here in the afternoon when the weather was nice and cool. The whole pavements were full with tables and chairs, so a few locals and tourists were sitting outside. Definitely a great place to people watch.
