Nice staff, but overall the food was average at best. The seaweed salad was quite nice though.
The seating is pretty lame. Most seats have you facing a wall. I think you could do better elsewhere.

I needed a sushi fix. These guys are located close by. They do take away or you can eat there. They also allow you to order by phone or on the internet off their web page and then pick it up. Was the sushi good? Heck yea. Their prices are fairly standard. I ordered plenty, eighteen dollars worth. It hit the spot but darn I wanted more. I love sushi. Oh yeah another plus, they deliver and are pretty fast at it.

The selection of fish here was a bit disappointing — they just have the basics (tuna, salmon, unagi, ebi, red snapper). That being said, the tuna and salmon were tasty. The others, not so much. I was pretty surprised after reading all of the glowing Unilocal reviews for this place. It was fine (I didn’t get sick), but nothing really impressed me.
I will have to try Yamazato and see if there is any real sushi in Amsterdam… :-)

I really like good sushi. I don’t even eat it in malls or something like that, because in my experience you won’t get good stuff there. That’s why I prefer the more expensive version in restaurants like this one. But, it is not really a restaurant. It is more a delivery service with some place to take a seat in the venue. Minimalistic facility, not sooo comfortable, but the sushi is really good. A little bit expensive, you should plan about 40 to 50 euro for two, but for the quality it is worth I think.

Love it! I was beginning to give up on finding good, inexpensive sushi in Amsterdam until i stumbled into this place. Its not like in LA where they are on almost every block. The sushi here’s fresh, restaurant is simple but elegant, most of all in affordable. Word of caution. not ideal for big groups. The restaurant can only sit about 10 people along the bar and there are no tables.
