We decided to have dinner at this place. Compared to the upscale and expensive hotels in the museum quarter area of Amsterdam, this restaurant was quite reasonable. The place is well decorated with paintings. Coming to the food– we had ordered Soto Ayam– which is an authentic Indonesian chicken soup with eggs and vegetables, for the mains– Ayam Panggang Kemangi which is Chicken cooked in Madurese sauce and finally as a side-Nasi Goreng Special which is a mixed fried rice with lots of mushrooms, eggs and prawns. All the food tasted good, but the amount was very less to share between two people.

We were promptly seated without reservations for our last dinner in Amsterdam. We ordered the 17 plate rice table. Good thing we were starving! The host/server was really nice. He even gave me an extra serving of the sweet pickled carrot/onion dish. There’s an upstairs and the main floor is cozy. The servers were really attentive. The food had great flavor and this place was within walking distance from our hotel. Fellow Unilocalers did not disappoint. I’d recommend this place to anyone staying near the museum district and craving Indonesian food.

Came here after the evening Blue Boat cruise without a reservation. They were quite busy but found me a table promptly. Ordered the«Meat Lovers» combination which was«crispy pancakes with meat stuffing»(something like Chinese fried won ton), a sort of stewed beef dish with mixed vegetables, and a dessert of fruit and ice cream. All the dishes came out promptly and were quite tasty. The beef was spicy enough to be interesting although perhaps toned down a bit from what Indonesians would expect. The dining room is quiet and comfortable and the service was attentive. Altogether the dinner and ½ L of house wine cost 42 euros.

I went their because other Unilocalers were raving about this place. The place didn’t dissappoint me. Downstairs gets pretty corwded but upstairs is more initmate and quite. The décor was very nice with indonesian paintings and sculptures. The server was super friendly and very helpful. I had the the lamb curry it was really delish. The meat was tender and succulent served with a coconut based curry that was super yummy. They brought me some hot sauce on the side to satisfy my appetite for hot spices. Boy that stuff was hot and made my eyes water. Overall great experience and super nce staff. The chef stopped by to say hello as well. He was super friendly and very nice.
