To start off we waited about 10 mins or maybe more for the menus. The bread and olive tapenade came which filled a spot until we waited again for the wine which ordered. On that wine note: I observed a bottle that was placed on a deserted table for approximately 15 minutes until the waiter brought it over and poured it. Earlier the waiter told us of the specials but his voice was lost with the background noise as he rushed through it. I ordered the seafood spaghetti, mum ordered the chicken and truffle oil pasta whilst Aunt ordered the pappardelle ragu. The wine was the house white. A Pinot Grigio which was nice. The seafood spaghetti was ok although the razor clam was over cooked. I noticed that the waitress gave a plate to another diner for the seafood shell empties but that didn’t arrive to our table so I had to use my small side plate which I still had from having the olive tapenade. The spaghetti and sauce was nice but did get the odd crunch now and again — shell? Who knows? I’m hoping I’ll be ok in the morning!!! Mum seemed enjoy her pasta but aunts Ragu was under seasoned and frankly I can do better! Service was slow. So so so slow. I hate to say it but we didn’t tip purely for this reason. It just felt unorganised tonight. Its sad when you leave a bad review, but our experience wasn’t the best.

Careful when accepting the offer of «specials» as the prices are mentioned nowhere but the prices are expensive compared to the regular meals. Special starter for two was 31 euros and absolutely huge! Fish special was 23.50 euros. Sadly not what I would call special more regular. Meal for 3 with 3 glasses of prossecco and no dessert over 100 euros — worth 60.

SO good. Had a great dinner here with friends over the weekend. Things to love: Stressed out(but very friendly) Italian waiters(totally adds great ambiance, really) Wood tables Noisy, busy perfectly orchestrated atmosphere Nice wine list FOOD The food here is super, super lekker. Great flavors. HUGE portions. Nice options for vegetarians. Their bread? Um, marry me, bread. Just marry me.(It’s that good.) I don’t know why it took me so long to visit. But, now that I have, I’m already looking for my next reason to go back. Yum.

Great Amsterdam Italian restaurant! I recently discovered Ristorante-Pizzeria with my Dutchman. We had the pleasure of eating at one of the best Italian restaurants in Amsterdam. I completely fell in love with this Italian Restaurant. Their food is amazing! If you are craving good pasta, pizza or risotto then this is definitely the place to eat. It’s so hard to believe that Italian food like this exist in Amsterdam. Last night I was craving Italian cuisine but honestly, I thought it would be hard for me to run across an Italian restaurant that made me feel like I was in Italy. Lo and behold… I was wrong. Unfortunately, we have been neglecting this amazing restaurant in our neighborhood for quite some time. I can’t believe this fine Italian restaurant has been right under our noses. Locals and visitors this restaurant in Amsterdam is the place to visit for fantastic and authentic Italian cuisine. It’s a must add to your list for favorite places. Make sure to get there early or make reservations by phone, so you can really treat your self good. I am looking forward to visiting this restaurant again! Bön Appetite

Two big window shops. You can see people inside enjoying the food and company and from inside you can watch outside from almost every table if you are facing the windows. The inside is a rough Italian trattoria style and despite what is written on the outside, it is not Mediterranean food but rather traditional Italian well done food. The table inside are a bit to crapped one over the other but yesterday it was not too busy so we did not feel the lack of space. Service was not the most speedy one, we were not in a rush, but I can imagine it would take a long time to get your food served if it is a full house. Not that I mind waiting, but when is too long and I am hungry. then is bad. Whine was good. Short selection of whites and reds, we went for two bottles of Sicilians ones which were really nice. While we waited for the starters we got served warm bread with home made olive tappenade … nice! Starter of Vitello Tonnato … delicate and well prepared with capers on top as it should be. Nice! My main dish was Frappé with Salsicce di cinghiale. A home made large spaghetti pasta with small wild boar sausages in a very tasty tomato sauce. Very well done and perfectly al dente. Lovely. The friends around the table took prosciutto with figs and honey as starter which was really great and mixed antipasti which had a lot of different cold cuts and veggies. Nice. Other main dishes were scaloppine ai funghi, veal with mushrooms and pasta with cozze e patate(mussel with potatoes pasta), also a great dish. We finished with espresso, sanbuca and a great sorbetto(lemon ice with vodka) prepared at our table. We got a complimentary chocolate cake which frankly was a bit over the top after all we ate :) It is not definitely cheap but food is really tasty. I have to say a bit too salty, you can feel it the day after and during the night… had to drink several time some water… I do not consider that a great sign of top food. The over all dinner was heavy so I would advice to get there not around 9 in the evening but rather around 7.30. Not a touristic part of the city so you will get mostly Amsterdamers and locals. Italian hosts and Italian is spoken… of course also Dutch and English.
