A real pleasant surprise food was super tasteful and the view was wow… Also the fact that you can grill your own things was sooooo fun… A must try

AYCE conveyer belt food that you grill yourself??? Hells yeah!
I must admit, the View has an interesting… view on serving food! Not only is it an all you can binge place, the food comes directly to your table on a conveyer belt and once you receive your food, you either stuff it in your onbeperkt greedy mouth or place it on the grill at your table. I’ve been to several AYCE places, Kaiten-​zushi places with the conveyer belt system, and Korean restaurants where you grill you own meat. But NEVER all three at once! And to top that off… Free drinks including beer and wine! Let me tell you what I like about this place:
1. Tables and chairs are set up so they face the window so you have a nice view of the water and the floating dim sum island (aka Sea Palace)
2. Each chair has a golden cover so your coats, shawls, speedos, mink furs, etc can be shielded from the grill smoke/​smell
3. The food has flavor! When the meat items came out, I assumed they were just slabs of meat and sausages, but they were actually properly flavored! The lamb chops, lamb sausage and mini burger patties were particularly pleasing to my mouth
Now the biggest question is, what are you able to eat within your two hours of blissful binging?
Drink: Heineken beer, tap white wine, tap red wine, fizzy drinks (pepsi products) and bottled beverages
Non-​conveyer belt (aka get off your lazy ass and get it yourself food): soup du jour, bread, tapenade, hapjes (like bitterballen, fried cheese, calamari, etc.), fries, nasi goreng, and 50 billion sauces for your food and sate sticks
Conveyer belt food: Aaaaawww… sit back, relax, and let the food come to you! Not all needs to be grilled and I’m sure I’m missing some stuff, but here goes! Beef cappacio, mini salads, raw squid, chicken sate, bief steak, lamb chops, sausages of various kinds, tempeh, tofu sate, marinated white fish, raw salmon, fried shrimp sushi rolls, tuna sushi rolls, raw tuna, pinwheels, caprese sticks, pork sate, melon wrapped ham, different flavored shrimps, shrimp chips, Indonesian chips, corn on the cob, veggie combo… ok I’m tiring my already limited long-​term memory, but let’s just say what DON’T they have?!
Dessert: Ice cream (vanilla, strawberry, lemon, chocolate, banana), freshly cut fruits, and my favorite… Indonesian layer cake. MMmmmm!
If you are in the mood for all you can binge AND drink AND grill AND whatever… Restaurant View is THE place! Oh and true to the former reviews, the service is creepily nice — but better than creepily rude!!!
So bring you stretchy pants and be prepared for the view of your living room wall once you are in a foma on your couch after two hours of piggy eating!

I have to say I’m surprised by the 2.5 star rating. It almost prevented me from going, but given the slim pickings of good all you can eat places, we decided to give it a chance and were pleasantly surprised. I normally expect all you can eat places to serve up sub-​par meats, but this place was lambing pretty hard! Plates come out on a conveyer belt and you can choose from a variety of fish, meats, veggies, appetizers, sushi etc. Some of the meats and fish are raw and you can cook it at your own table on a small round grill. You can also get different kinds of sauces from the sauce bar, so we cooked the meats as is or added sauces and it was DELICIOUS!!! I think the most memorable item was the lamb chops… super tender and bursting with flavors! I also liked the small dessert buffet with 4 ice cream flavors, small cake pieces, and the Indonesian layer cake.
I don’t know why it wasn’t rated higher before, but I would definitely go back! I am still full and thinking of that tasty lamb…
