Vapiano

As with other vapiano restaurants the food here is very good and the prices are good value. The problem is the slow service. I went here with a friend on a Saturday evening around 7 and had to wait around a half hour in line just to order my pizza and another 20 mins to receive it. My friend had to wait even longer in line as she wanted pasta instead.
However, the food and prices are very good, so if you don’t mind a bit of a wait I would recommend this branch of vapiano.

Um dos sítios em Amesterdão onde podemos comer algo a que estamos mais familiarizados, pizza, pasta e saladas!!! Além do mais, e tendo em conta os preços praticados em Amesterdão, é um sítio bastante acessível e com boa qualidade. Fui lá almoçar mal cheguei a Amesterdão, e o facto de ser mesmo ao lado da casa da minha melhor amiga também ajudou. Fiquei desde logo super fã, quer pela comida, quer pelo espaço, quer pelo ambiente! Posso dizer-​vos que dos 3 menus que foram pedidos, eram os 3 deliciosos por isso podem escolher à vontade conforme o vosso gosto que certamente vão ficar satisfeitos ;)
A vantagem deste restaurante é estar praticamente ao lado da Central de Comboios e estar ‘embutido’ na biblioteca, que desde já aconselho a visitarem pois é verdadeiramente deslumbrante. E já que lá vão, aproveitem e vão também até ao último piso, a vista sobre Amesterdão é ótima e… gratuita ;)

Ein Tag in Amsterdam, aber 4h in ein– und derselben Location verbracht (dazu muss man sagen, wir waren schon öfter in Amsterdam, deshalb geht das noch).
Vapiano ist ja wirklich nichts besonderes mehr, in jeder deutschen Großstadt gibt es Vapiano. Jeder kennt es, jeder geht dahin: Aber es schmeckt immer und das Konzept ist einfach super! Vor deiner Nase bekocht werden mit ansprechenden Preisen — einfach cool!
Oben habe ich bereits erwähnt, dass wir 4h da saßen, uns gesonnt, getrunken und gegessen haben. Es war wirklich toll!
Warum?
Das Essen war richtig gut: So oft, wie man in einem Vapiano war, weiß man mittlerweile, ob das Essen gut war oder nicht, auch, wenn es manchmal so scheint, als wäre alles gleich. Ich hatte das Übliche: Tacchino Piccante (Orangen-​Chillisauce, Tagliatelle, Paprika, Hähnchenbrust, Chilli, Knoblauch und Pak Choi — für mich allerdings ohne, aber dafür mit Tomaten.). Die Tagliatelle klebten nicht aneinander, den Knoblauch schmeckte man raus und scharf war es auch. Das Brot war frisch und weich (bei Vapiano hatte ich auch schon «unleckeres Brot».). Wie immer gab es dazu Arizona Ice Tea Pomegrante (damals gab es noch nicht die Hausmarke…). Danach gab es noch ein paar Hugos hinterher. Allerdings muss man immer runter laufen zur Bar.
Eigentlich wollte ich die Location besonders hervorheben: Wirklich schön, in einem Glaskomplex, mit süßem Balkon und fantastischem Ausblick. Man tritt in das Gebäude rein und erstmal wirkt es klein, dann geht man die Treppen hoch: alles hell, schön weitläufig, einfach toll. Dann entdeckten wir, dass auf man einem «Balkon» sitzen kann. Es war wunderbar. Während des Essens kann man auf’s dunkelblaue Wasser schauen, die Schiffchen beobachten oder auf Menschenköpfe schauen. Das alles umsonst! :-D
Die Serviceleute waren natürlich nett.
Also, wenn man mal in Amsterdam ist: mal dieses Vapiano besuchen! :-)

Einfach spitze! Tolles Konzept zu ordentlichen Preisen. Die Speisen sind handgemacht (auch die Pasta ist in der hauseigenen Manufaktur, der man bei der Arbeit zuschauen kann, hergestellt) und werden vor deinen Augen zubereitet.

So lecker wie in jedem Vapiano, nur hier mit fantastischem Ausblick :)

Die beliebte Systemgastronomie gibt es nun auch in Holland. Direkt im Gebäude der neuen Bibliothek und am alten Hafen ist das Vapiano untergebracht.
Wer Lust auf frische Pasta oder Pizza hat, ist hier richtig. An den Tischen befinden sich frische Gewürze sowie Öl, um die Gerichte noch persönlich zu verfeinern. An der Bar gibt es lokales Bier wie z.B. Heineken.
Innen bzw. im 1. Stock ist viel Platz. Draußen gibt es ebenfalls viele Tische. Im 1. Stock gibt es einen kleinen Balkon, auf dem man einen schönen Blick auf Amsterdam und das Hafenbecken hat.
Ich kann das Vapiano nur empfehlen, wenn man gerade mal keine Lust auf die urigen Kneipen in Amsterdam hat.

We actually ended up here because we weren’t able to get in somewhere else, but the food was good, so no complaints there! It’s a weird kind of system with how you order/​pay. So when you walk in, you get a card (don’t lose it!), when you go upstairs and order, you wave the card and it basically keeps track of what you order. It’s how you order that I wasn’t happy with. It’s kind of cafeteria style, you go up to an area (either pasta or pizza) and order, but the line was long, and I stood in line for 10 minutes (only 3 people in front of me) before I could even order. There were other lines/​chef areas but they weren’t staffed. Once those were staffed, it moved more quickly. They make your dish while you wait and watch them.
The food itself was very good and I was happy with the portion-​size and price. I think the first time here is very confusing. I might go back to try it again.

Great place for cheap Italian food. You get to see them cook the food… for me this is great because I go home and try to copy their style… I learn from them
It can be really busy during dinner time but it’s great food.
