I was happy to find this place opening a little after 5am at the Amsterdam Central Station. I wanted to get something to eat/drink before my early train ride. This place was a nice surprise as not only did it have fresh croissants coming out of the oven, but they were selling their pasta dishes to travelers regardless of the early time… great way to serve the varied clientele at a hectic train station! What amused me the most was their version of hot chocolate. I was surprised when after ordering hot chocolate I was handed a cup with steaming hot milk and a stick with solid chocolate. I have never encountered this at a coffee store in the USA and have to say it is a nice idea if you care about chocolate quality. Much better than several watery hot chocolates I’ve had back home made with questionable hot chocolate mixes/syrups at trendy establishments! Granted if you are in a hurry it is probably not the best idea but still nice to try something new on an otherwise early morning.

My 4 am hunger savior! I thank you with all my life! For a place like Amsterdam, you’d think they would have more food places open late night. But they don’t! Well I also don’t want to do the French fries! But waking up here at crack of dawn was brutal. Nothing is open till 8 am or so. And I’m usually up by 4 am. So what did I do?! Came here! It was really the best thing ever. There were few nights where I didn’t get a chance to eat. Wake up starving and waited till the shops in the centraal station opened. This was a godsend though. Salmon tortellini for breakfast in carbonara sauce. Add cappuccino for 2 euros. Winning! Totally! I came here a few too many times during my Amsterdam trip. All at 4– 5 am time frame. They tasted pretty good to me. Not sure how it would be for dinner but for breakfast, it is pretty good! You pick your pasta, you pick your sauce and pick your topping! What else do you need! Oh yea, the Bolognese is a ok!

I was very impressed to get freshly cooked tasty tortellini pasta custom made to my choice of sauce, with Parmesan and rocket, and a cappuccino, in under 4 minutes early morning at Amsterdam Centraal Station. After an inner-panic between hunger and missing my train, I was happy to achieve both! Yes, this was supposed to be lunch but I had pasta for breakfast(it was about 6 – 6:30am).

Th is is the Amsterdam Centraal outlet of this very popular Italian fast food chain. It offers the same range of meals and drinks as all the others. Good pasta on the go!

Good pasta for a nice price! It’s good for those days when you don’t want to cook and you’re on your way home, so you can just pick up some nice dinner at central station! I’m giving it 3 stars because I think it could be nicer(the sauce), but it ever disappointed me. It’s a pick up place, and the pasta comes in a little box that looks like those Chinese food boxes, also comes with a fork so you can eat on the go!

All the perks of fine dining — expensive food, small portions, great taste — in a to-go format.

It hit the spot for me on a rainy cold day. I ordered Arribiata Penne, comes in large Chinese box with fresh parmesan and lettuce greens on top. It was the perfect size and price 5.75E. It had enough kick to it but could have been saucier and spicier. Its all cooked(warmed up in a pan in front of you so seems fresh) Place was packed. I got mine to go, hassle free, fast and worth it. Would buy again.

Tried to like it but I’m sorry to tell you that this was a disappointment for me… Because I’m a lover of Italian and Asian food I thought they would make their dishes similar to the taste of origen… I guess the ones that ate there, aren’t real foodlovers but tourists or «Yelpies» who are testing…

Pesto with chicken is nice. It depends on the pasta you order, some are nice, some not so. Of course, it is not really fresh prepared, but sort of reheated and mixed in your order. Makes for a good, quick & warm take away when traveling via train.

Julia’s is a pasta fast-food place in Amsterdam Centraal Station. The food is okay: it’s precooked pasta(four choices, one whole wheat) and you can choose from a variety of sauces. They also serve salad and sandwiches. It’s at least something like a decent lunch and not as bad as some of the other options you have of Dutch lunch at the station.

The food is OK, but don’t be fooled into thinking the food is cooked to order. It is reheated food to order. The pasta is frozen, then reheated in boiling water when you order. The sauces, including the pesto with chicken, are precooked and reheated in the pan when you order.
