This place is LIFECHANGING. I got a date truffle and it was amazing. If I lived in Amsterdam I would happily spend all of my money here. The chocolates are on the pricey side, but they are all raw which means healthy! Definitely recommend!

As I peered through the window I was impressed by the large open space these delicious little treats were prepared in. I step into what is clearly an artist’s workspace. An almost clinical cleanliness immediately conveyed the care put into the products. The ex-dancer, now chocolatier, kindly asks me to wait two seconds as he finishes his task. He walks up and offers freshly prepared hand oil, made from a plethora of natural ingredients. He tells me this is a little side project he does beside the chocolate, and it happens to be selling extremely well. He takes my hand, explains the contents of the mixture and waits for permission to place two droplets into my awaiting palm. Soft skin with a pleasantly rosy scent are the result. The Chocolatier is strikingly handsome with kind eyes, he comes across personable and clearly has an attentive attention to detail. The chocolates are without a doubt some of the finest available here in Amsterdam. They taste as if they are decadent and filled with all the naughty things a health conscious person wouldn’t touch. However it is quite the opposite. An organic, natural blend of vitamin filled, fine ingredients make it as nutritious as it is exquisite. One piece is rich and dense enough to satisfy even the sweetest tooth. The minimalist packaging is the perfect way to present his creations. 4.5÷5(I’ll be back soon to share my discovery with a friend.)

Can I have a round of applause for Laura and Murat? This energetic couple managed to create the perfect bonbons. These huge brown babes are enriched with D3, Chromium, coenzyme Q10 and a Vitamin B complex. The vitamins that are used come straight from the US. Upon arrival in Amsterdam the ‘fabulous two’ turn these powders and organic oils into elixirs, which they add to their dairy free chocolate fillings. According to them these bonbons contribute to the health of your heart, arteries, bones, hair and much more. Apart from being healthy, they are bloody divine. Just visit Mumu Vitamin Chocolates(est. January 2015) and try at least one ‘pill’. Pick for example the bonbon with macadamia: a thick yet crispy layer of dark chocolate filled with a blend of raw honey, a touch of cinnamon and Australian macadamia nuts. Just as delicious are the date-vanilla chocolates with bits of cashew; sticky and refined ‘to the bone’. Raw chocolates with hemp will soon be available and so will Baby Mumu’s: chocolates with anise to celebrate the birth of a brand new kid. Mumu rocks!
