Perfect alternative to Bakers & Roasters.
Why, when Bakers & Roasters has a queue of people does Mem’s have empty tables, this does not seem right!
Brunch on a Saturday here was a nice experience overall. Fair price, good food, and a nice environment makes for an enjoyable time.
We will be returning to Mem’s for sure.

Although service was prompt and friendly, the food quality is not what we hoped for. The paninis were overpriced (simple regular buns) the «hot chocolate» was microwaved chocomel. Coffee served in small water glasses. Please take cash with you as the nearest by cash machine is about 10minutes away.

Paart man Berliner Prenzlberg-​Schick mit Amsterdamer Vorortambiente findet man sich im Mem’s pudelwohl. Draußen sitzt man an vermeintlich provisorischen Holzbänken, die kleinen Holztische schiebt man sich einfach davor und dann heißt es zurücklehnen, Sonnenbrille oder Umbrella auf & genießen…
Die Kombi von mediterranen Bodenfließen und Backsteinpflaster-​Bar mit baumelnden Retro-​Kugellampen versüßt auch nen Indoor-​Käffchen. Da es sich beim Mem’s um ein Eckcafé handelt strahlt die Sonne, falls sie denn scheint, auch ziemlich oft herein. Eine Sonnenblume auf der Theke bringt nen weiteren Fröhlichkeits-​Boost genau wie die verdammt groovige Musik, die hier gespielt wird. Jeder scheint total gechillt und das ohne Joint. Der kleine, überdachte Innenhof lädt auch bei einem Wetterumschwung zum Chillen ein. Mein Soja-​Latte war fantastisch und das kostenlose Glaserl Wasser dazu wurde mit frischer Zitrone angereichert.
Wer noch nie Burrata-​Käse probiert hat und auf Mozzarella steht, wird mich für diesen Tipp für ewige Zeiten lieben. Burrata-​Käse ist cremiger, leckerer und wahrscheinlich auch reichhaltiger als Mozzarella… ein Gedicht, das auf der Zunge vergeht, dazu gab es auf meiner Scheibe Brot selbstgemachtes Birnen Purée, Ruccola-​Minze Salat und ein paar Kleckse Rhabarber Marmelade obendrauf.
Ich dachte ich spinne… genial! Das Omlette mit Feta, roten Zwiebeln und Ruccola-​Salat meiner Begleitung war ein optisches Highlight, geschmacklich jedoch etwas fad, aber man merkt hier wirklich, dass der Koch viel Liebe reinsteckt… Daher werden es glatte fünf Sterne von mir und das Mem’s mein Amsterdam-​Geheimtipp, denn: Warum in die überfüllte Brunch-​Hype-​Location Bakers and Roasters stürmen, wenn man hier ein ruhiges Frühstückstplätzchen in der Sonne ergattern kann?

The Dutch are really nice. And Mems is a good café. The food is simple and fine and the people who work here are great. I don’t want to go back to London. I want to stay here at Mems and waste away the sunny afternoon.

Amazing sandwiches! The Turkish sausage with truffle mayo was awesome. Great prices. Great service! Sat outside under the big trees.

more of a drinking place and not so much one to have meal. Really nice coffee and juice. Ok food. Customer service was good.

I really like Mem’s. The place feels very creative, and the staff is very friendly. Mem’s is also located in one of my favorite neighborhoods, the Oude Pijp. The outside is painted very colorful, like graffiti but nicer. Inside there is a beautiful floor and a cool bare brick bar/​counter.
The coffee here is nice and there are usually some pastries like muffins as well. They also have Panini’s but I’ve never tried them. This is a really nice place for drinking a cup of coffee with a friend on a sunday afternoon :)

Simple and delicious paninis with coffee. Great relaxing atmosphere with music and windows to enjoy the outdoors. The guy working was friendly and down to earth.

Excellent cappuccinos! This is a great place to grab a bite, relax, study (although I do not think there is wifi), etc. The restaurant is on a quiet, pretty street and makes you forget that you’re in a city. I love it here!

The owner and staff are super awesome.
By far my favorite place for a cup of coffee, a sandwich or just to waste a few hours while watching the world go by.
