if you want to eat a typical Dutch breakfast you must try this restaurant, the food, the service and the staff were great. I strongly recommended it and will go back the next time I am in Amsterdam

Maybe I’m biased. Maybe I’m just a sucker for love. Call me crazy, but this place just oozes warmth and«gezelligheid» seems to be its trademark. On my birthday, Marianne, the lovely owner, baked my tarts(fruit tart and chocolate). They were both divine. Not just that, she packed plates, forks and napkins for me in a bag. She’s a thoughtful and gracious owner. The food here is delicious and made with love. One can taste it and feel it in your core. I cannot wait to go back for another round of tarts and pea soup.

Excellent service and breakfast by the family running this restaurant. Have been a number of times. Not touristy, mostly locals. Egg breakfast comes with 3 eggs and toast. As with most good Amsterdam breakfast places, fresh squeezed OJ and a nice cappuccino awaits.

Casual, bright and airy eatery — a nice place to stop for brunch or lunch. The quiche was enjoyable and the service friendly. Ingredients looked and tasted fresh. As is the norm in Amsterdam, service is slow(but not slow enough here to feel totally ignored as I felt at other local eateries). I’d definitely eat here again, and hope to take my family soon when we visit AMS…

We had lunch here yesterday. The cookies to accompany your coffee or tea are in glass jars that they bring to your table. They are homemade and amazing. DONOTPASSTHEMUP! I also had a nice goat cheese and spinach quiche. The rest of the food was eh — pea soup with little taste, a boring salad and a «smoky» chicken sandwich with no smoky taste. And there was a curly black hair on our table when we sat down.

Very clean. Super friendly. Delicious food. Great portion size. My wife and I went there two days in a row. Perfect both times. If I’m ever in Amsterdam again I will definitely return to this wonderful family run business.

We came here for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed. The goat cheese salad is to die for! Really nice and cozy place too. The only thing we were a little bothered by was the service, kind but terribly slow, despite the place being quite empty. Totally advised anyway!

I came here with Julia D in search of a quick lunch before we flew out of Amsterdam later that afternoon. We passed Klaver 4 on the way to our hotel and it fitted the bill. I had a toasted sandwich which was reasonably priced considering the prices other places were charging further up the road. Overall it was a nice relaxed space for lunch and would happily recommend it.

Great spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The only downer is that the service is a little slow, but at least courteous. I had a wonderful salmon salad here. I ordered the tuna salad without eggs and tuna, in replace for salmon and avocado, it was fantastic.

This little place is a restful little sandwich breakfast joint that is a five minute walk south from the Rembrandtplein. I loved their goat cheese, spinach and pine nut quiche so much that I returned the next morning and had it again. The staff here was very friendly and courteous. The vibe here is light hearted with a little country style. There are paintings on the wall done by a person that loves cows and little lambs because there are a lot of these paintings and many seem to be for sale. The quiche came with a little salad of fresh mixed greens, sliced tomatoes and such on the side and was also delicious. My friend had a breakfast with scrambled eggs and toast. He said they were perfect. The coffee and the juices we had were excellent. The perfect way for me to start any day in my favorite city.

Delightful, bright, airy restaurant located on the hip Utrechtsestraat. If I lived in Amsterdam, this would definitely be a regular hang-out spot. The food is all fresh and home-made; I ate one of the best roast beef sandwiches I’ve had in years(that’s quite a compliment coming from a former New Yorker!). We sat at a communal table and enjoyed flipping through dutch fashion magazines and historic books on Amsterdam as we waited for our food. The space is clean and cozy, the food simply delicious and priced incredibly reasonable. Hope to find a chance to come back soon!

Under new management since 2011, the on-site made food and the fresh modern atmosphere make this the perfect place to meet for lunch. Prices for the warm dishes are kept low to entice locals away from the obligatory(yet delicious) Broodje Kaas. Our favorite in autumn: the Quiche/Soup combination with the pumpkin-nut-cheese quiche.
