So… I was craving thai food and I no longer had 3G to check Unilocal for people’s review, wish I had.
Where to begin.
The service is simply terrible: i was seated at a dirty table, and it took them 5 mns to take out the plates and 10 mns to actually clean it up.
I asked for water three times and didn’t get anything.
The food was okay, I guess, definitely over priced for what you get (quality, not quantity). But still edible, I wouldn’t say it was bad, I enjoyed it but it wasn’t great! I ordered the vegetarian plate: rice and 4 sides of various vegetables/​tofu, sweet and sour salad, chips. NO WATER.
I don’t think I’d go back.

3.5 to be exact. the food was good, but rather expensive for the amount you get. service can be slow when the floor fills up and only one person waiting all the tables. i’m a vegetarian and my bf’s not, so we couldn’t order the epic festival meal. the adjacent table did order and it looked pretty spectacular. not sure that i would come back though.

I’m not sure why this is rated so low. My husband and I stopped in and the food AND service was wonderful. Very attentive service and the food was certainly not microwaved.

Everything is reheated in the microwave. Do not go here. For the prices they charge my food shouldn’t come out of a microwave. Crazy.

Tujuh Maret is an Indonesian restaurant located in the Southern Canal Ring in Amsterdam. Apparently, you can find a more upscale version, Tempo Doeloe, next door.
My friend and I took a chance and opted for choosing this restaurant based on our lonely planet guide suggestions for restaurants in the area. I am always up for trying new cuisines and such but this turned out to be just okay. The food, as another reviewer mentioned, was pretty bland. I would opt for somewhere else if you are in the area.
If you do fancy a try, mains are 7 – 10 euros and rijsttafel, an Indonesian banquet, (vegetarian and non-​vegetarian; see photos) are 22 – 27 euros. They also offer a mini-​rijsttafel, a makanan kecil for 15 euros.

The best part of our meal was our super friendly waiter.
The food was mediocre. We got the tasting menu, and it was all pretty bland and unexciting. I wouldn’t recommend it.
