We came here for dinner when the café is much less crowded. They have a number of options from small snacks like cheese fondue and meat/hummus platters to entrees like salads and pasta. The food was quite good and relatively cheaper than other restaurants in the area. Would recommend if you are looking for a less crowded, more intimate, chill setting.

Disappointing. I sat down and waited half an hour, not wanting to be an annoying tourist, but finally gave in and walked directly to the waiter to order.(There were only 2 other tables of people, not a busy time.) The waiter acted as if I were being impatient and he took my order. 40 minutes later(1 hour and 10 minutes after arriving), my food hadn’t come, and I had to leave. I went to pay for my water and let them know I had to go, but the waiter said my food was ready. A few minutes later he brought out some toast with melted cheese and quickly walked off. I had ordered eggs and salmon. I chased after him, said that it was the wrong order. After doubting that I knew what I had ordered, he finally told me that the water was on the house and I was able to leave.

We were walking around the various canals and randomly found this place and hadn’t checked the Unilocal review on entering. One word — wow. Best sandwiches and fresh juices I have ever had. Had a BLT and the fresh strawberry and orange juice. Was looking around at all the other customer’s and every meal looked good. Generous portions and it gets busy so would recommend coming in before the lunch time rush

Decided to have lunch at this already packed place. That must be a good sign about Goodies. We took a seat outside as it just stopped raining and inside it was too hot(it had been warm yesterday, probably no airco). We just started to enjoy a glass of fine white house wine(do not hesitate, they have one kind, but it is surprisingly good), when it started to rain again. But though as we are, we stayed, moved a bit more under the sunshade and checked out the menu. For lunch they offer all kinds of sandwiches and bagels, one kind of soup and some salads and they have a small dinner card with starters as off 17h and the rest as off 18h. Luckily some people left so we could change to inside, cause we really wanted to try some of these goodies and the rain got worse! The waiter was very friendly and passionate. He adviced me not to take two dishes(you gotta be really hungry then! I was, but we decided to share a salad instead, was a good advice!). The bagel with scrambled egg, cream cheese and salmon was a classic, but a good one. One minor detail: they should really change to sharper knives, this bagel was hard to crack and I don’t like fighting with my food. The salad with warm goat cheese, pumpkin seeds and cashew nuts was very fresh and a good company for a bagel. It was true it was enough, but I wouldn’t have mind some bonus bites ;-). Service was good, only took a bit too long before the food came, not the annoying long, we had a seat in front of the window, so enough distraction, but still. When we asked for the bill we got a wrong one. Lucky for them I noticed, cause it was half the price we should have. A very nice thing is that they put a bottle of tap-water on the table without asking. Nice service. And the place is cosy, good atmosphere, fresh flowers on the tables with eye for detail. Yes, it’s a place where you feel that the owners like what they do.

Stern abziehen? Höchstens einen halben. Also bleibts bei 5. Ich würde wieder kommen!
