Great place for a coffein fix and something sweet to eat. And they have a couple of spots in the city. This Spui location is the most interesting as they are located in the same interior as Hay and you can admire their products while having your coffee. They don’t have too many sit down places but you can find something after all. Their coffee is very good but take a single shot late(double size) if you don’t like very strong coffee. The atmosphere in the coffee it’s nice and you can always find ppl working by their laptops or reading a newspaper. They also serve a variety of pastries and tarts, mmmiam miam. Order at the bar and pay on the spot. Wifi: koffiesalon Pass: koffiesalon

Hello boys and girls! Today I would like to talk to you about a something called differentiation. According to the Merriam-Webster, differentiation is defined as «the action or process of differentiating» …Putting aside that completely worthless definition that used the root word in the definition itself, I would like to stress the importance of differentiation when it comes to feeding the mouths of other hungry boys and girls. Let’s take De Koffie Salon on Spuistraat for instance. They are built into the cool Danish home furnishing store, HAY. Seamlessly integrated into HAY is De Koffie Salon. Not only do you get yummy coffee, you can relax and gezellig-it-out on nice furniture as you people watch on the never boring Spuistraat. This is not something all cafes can boast! Also, let’s take into consideration the snack selection at De Koffie Salon on Spuistraat. Regular croissants and boring sandwiches? Oh no, sir! I’m talking about interesting sammies and desserts you have to try just out of curiosity. I had a tough time picking between the hopjeswafel or honigwafel(both interesting variations of the already delicious stroopwafel). So kids, using this example of differentiation, I hope you can see that having boring plain jane coffee and choco croissants will only get you so far. But when you start differentiating, you can please the stomachs of a wider audience. Please join me next week for my seminar on binge eating leftover chinese take-out food at 3am half-in-half-out of your fridge.
