My brother and I just had lunch here a few weeks ago after visiting the Rijksmuseum. Just kind of stumbled upon it… we were hungry… and it wasn’t teeming with tourists!
Very nice ambience, and the service was very friendly. Naturally all the Dutch speak English, so there’s no communication problem at all. We both ordered the hamburger and fries with salad (I know, American food in a Dutch restaurant, but hey, that’s Amsterdam!) Anyway, we washed the burgers down with a couple of Heinekens. Very good, and the prices are very reasonable.

Delicious pancakes and good beer. Service is very friendly also! It was a great place to stop by.
Also the décor is very cute. It’s a small place, not good for groups, but very nice nonetheless.

If you are looking for a quick meal and great beer in a friendly atmosphere, than this is the place.
A couple of minutes from the main museums, you can taste a nice home made soup and a delicious omelet that go just perfect with a Afflingem beer.

Decent place. Popped in to get away from the rain while waiting for my time to go to the Van Gogh museum. Close enough to museumplein to go over have a drink and make my way back in time to get in. They had la chouffe on tap, always a plus.

This is a typical Dutch café but with pancakes on the menu. The toppings for your pancake are cheese, bacon or apple and if you don’ t like any of those there is always the natural version. The apple you should try the typical Dutch way with cinnamon and sugar or just syrup. Eet smakelijk!

This place was very close to one of the canals that we walked by. It was an okay place to stop for some tea and food, but they forgot about me after awhile. It is a bit touristy and very small, so you can sit outside and watch people pass-​by. The food wasn’t the greatest, but it did the trick for what I needed at that moment.
