Our stay at Boutique Hotel View was nothing short of fabulous. My husband & I traveled to Amsterdam for a quick, yet eventful overnight stay while vacationing in Spain. I can honestly say that staying at Boutique Hotel View made the trip to Amsterdam not only worth it, but far exceeded our expectations. Firstly, none of the prices or estimated times that we found online are accurate, comparable, but not exact! We found a Public Shuttle Bus outside the airport for only 5 €. It added few stops to the commute but we felt it offered a bit of culture during the short trip into the city. Again, it took longer than the 20 minutes advertised at roughly 40 minutes instead. I can’t really complain though as it takes you right to Leidseplein Square, which was the epitome of convenience on our tight schedule! From there, you will cross the street to locate Boutique Hotel View… travel parallel to the canal on the sidewalk adjacent to the American Hotel(where the big fountain is). The first visit to the hotel might be perceived as a bit tricky, but once you find it for the first time, you will have no issue finding it again! I loved that the hotel was in the middle of the action, while being tucked behind a huge hotel because taxos were never an issue as most recognized where the large neighboring hotel was located. There was also a canal tour operator directly outside your doorstep thanks to the American Hotel putting them up near their valet entrance. Even so, we still recommend the boutique option for a more authentic stay in Amsterdam over its larger neighbor. And, Leidseplein Square itself provides immediate access to an array of eateries, apparel stores, a ton of adorable bridges, and the infamous coffee shops… again just a moments walk from Boutique Hotel View! Boutique Hotel View defines«picturesque» with it’s charming exterior as well as its efficiently renovated interior. Depending on the room type you select, beware that your room can be as tiny as a train cabin or a super spacious room featuring an unmatched view(like we had). Relative to a Guest House or Bed & Breakfast, the hotel is truly as «boutique» as Boutique Hotels come… The receptionist is the front desk agent is the operations manager. She spoke fluent English and was an absolute delight during all interactions! Upon arrival, you are faced with a dual-door entry… to which requires you to use your key card to enter and/or call to be buzzed in by the front desk. I was particularly fond of the dual-doors because the hotel has two house cats and being the animal-lover I am, I would usually be concerned with their safety. But I didn’t find myself worrying about them at all throughout the duration of our stay! Needless to say(for normal humans who worry about normal human things), the dual-doors also guarantees security during your stay in Amsterdam. When imagining how the hotel is setup, picture a narrow, 3 – 4 story house… The foyer acts as what you would usually refer to as the hotel lobby. While it might be small, the information on display(and for you to take) is mighty! On the left, there are stairs going up to the guestrooms or stairs going down to the internet café and bathrooms. On the right is the front desk and community dining area with a lovely canal view. Best part: they serve hot Oliebol(a Dutch treat that is comparable to massive funnel cake balls) upon check-in as well as a hearty breakfast each morning for an additional cost! For the sake of the hotel, be sure to properly coordinate your arrival with check-in times. It’s a small space at the front desk and likely a challenge to hold multiple guests’ luggage. Although, they were still happy to hold our luggage as we were unaware of this prior to arrival. I need to touch on our room once more… In August when we made our reservation, I noted our visit was a special occasion for my husband & I… and boy did Boutique Hotel View deliver! I swear on my life our room was made for ME. From the deeply contrasted swirly/twirly wallpaper to the clean bathroom to the detail on the balcony overlooking the canal to the fan in the room!(Pro for me because I have sleep issues.) Furthermore, given the age of the building it was expected that its walls would be super thin — BUT again, I didn’t experience noise issues at all either! We loved our room! We spent late afternoon gawking out the window after our canal cruise, then napped in the early evening after a trip to the coffee shops, and then went out super late(around midnight) because after dinner I just wanted to stay in & enjoy the view at night too! I’ve included pictures of all views! Such an amazing visit, though waaayyy too short, we will most certainly return! Thank you again!

This is a very nice Botique hotel with Free WiFI, a great home made breakfast, the rooms are small but clean and nice, like most hotels in Europe the Bathrooms are made for little people haha, It only has stairs so its a work out up and down to room on steep steps that might be hard for older people or if your Drunk or stop at a local coffee shop. I would stay here again for sure. The Location is amazingly close to High End shops, good bars, food and all the sights.
