As it is was always Weber’s little sister. It seems to have outgrown It’s big brother. Now that Lux has what used to be Kamer401 as well it has become quite the space. Serving the 20 — 30 year old crowd cold beer and cool tunes it is surely THE go to place in Amsterdam before hitting the clubs. Get pumped by the fairly loud music and all the locals that come here. You could state that you have not been in a cool bar in Amsterdam if you have not had a drink in Lux. Love these guys.

Bar Lux is one great place. The staff is super friendly and got to know my friends and I after our first visit. We were like regulars right away, they even gave us comped «friends and family» admission for the New Years party (which was really a blast). I can’t thank them enough for treating us like locals and running a very nice little lounge. It is a bit arty, hip, the dj’s were good. As soon as I am back in the A’dam, I am stopping by to say hello to my new friends at Lux. Stop by if you are in the area, it is definitely a great place to start your night before going to another club… or you can just stay there and have a blast. There are 3 levels really (as far as I remember), not very large, but I never felt crowded. Highly recommended.
