Washington Crossing, PA
Very unwelcoming. Young woman hostess basically stood in front of the door barricading it to prevent entry. Felt totally unwelcomed. Perhaps it is because my husband is disabled in a scootmobile? Very negative body language.

I went to this pub last night before and after a concert in the Sugar Factory. It looks nice and cosy, just how a pub should be. They have a good beer selection on tap and in bottles. Unlike most other places in the center of Amsterdam it’s not really touristy. The staff is very friendly.

Great location– literally. Surrounded bit at least a dozen other bars/​cafes and restaurants. Multi level indoor seating, flat screens everywhere and a large patio seating outside. Fast bar service, lots of beer to choose from. Great place to catch a game. Sit outside and people watch, guaranteed laughs.

Netter Irish-​Pub in Amsterdam. Hier kann man sich gut draußen hinsetzen und die Preise sind auch in Ordnung. Personal ist soweit auch ganz nett, wir mussten nur etwas länger auf unsere Bestellung warten, es war allerdings auch viel los.
Die Getränke sind typisch «Irish-​Pub» eben, Guinness, Cider, Whiskey. Eben genau das was man erwartet!

Dan Murphy’s can be summed up very quickly: great locations/​outside seating and average food.
I was hanging around the downtown area and looking for some good bar food to eat and relax. Dan Murphy provides great outside seating on summer days. You can people watch in the busiest part of town and its a great place to just relax with a drink.
Food wise, it’s definitely nothing worth seeking out. I had some wings and fries and it was very meh… Not bad tasting, but just unmemorable. They do have a good beer selection though, so it’s definitely worth popping by for that if you’re in the area and want to veg out. Otherwise you can likely find better food elsewhere.

Nothing fancy, but that’s the appeal here at Dan Murphy’s. Good beer selection, casual atmosphere. This is a warm respite in a sea of touristy eateries. Music selection is a bonus.

My favorite bar on Leidseplein. It doesn’t have anything special, it’s basically a normal irish pub, but for some reason when I am in the area I always stop by getting a beer here. There are several TV screens showing sports, and there are tables in the outside terrace for the warm season. Staff is international (mostly British) and friendly.
