The Bigger the store the lower the prices. The bottled water section is continually gutted and continually restocked. It is a supermarket!!! Not a tourist attraction.

It’s the weirdest AH in town… The Dutch A*dammers would recognise these names as typical Dutch: Henk, Aaltje, Trees. Here are almost no Mustafas, Shirleys, LeRoy’s and Fatima’s. Nope! This is old school Amsterdam Supermarket and its not great. Don’t expect a smiling face or a big range of organic blabla.
If works, but Henk and Aaltje are not service minded.

Probably the worst supermarket in the world — filled with lazy idiotic kids spending all day stocking the shelves and bumping onto customers with their karts. Most of staff are rude and lazy with no idea of customer service. The vegetables are tasteless and the meat is low quality. They recently redesigned the layout and made it worse. The manager walks round aimlessly watching his incompetent staff doing absolutely nothing to keep them in line
A visit here is like a comedy of errors — avoid at all costs
