I loved this place. We stayed in Traders to popped up for a drink one night. Glad we did! The bar is amazing, with a swimming pool where the dance floor would usually be. There is ample seating around the pool and some amazing seats around the windows overlooking the stunning KL skyline.
As there was a small queue at the bar when we arrived, one of the waitresses came over, took our order and took us over to a window seat. Great service, great drinks menu and an amazing venue.
The first night we visited the bar there was a brilliant DJ playing, he was mixing some classic hip hop and R&B as well as some more mainstream tracks. It made for a great atmosphere and a great night had by all.
Be sure to try one of their cocktails and try to get a window seat. There is a bell to call for table service and gives you one of the best views in KL

Great view, but too packed and no place to sit. But that won’t be an issue if you’re constantly on the dance floor.

Used to be much better couple of years ago but now its just a tourist spot and lots of professionals in there. Last time guests with bermudas and flip-​flops — not a place to be again.

The tire is really nice and the cocktails are good. Not sure about the swimming pool at night time. The hotel guests might love it.

Unfassbare Aussicht, bester Blick KLs auf die Twin Towers, da von frontal über den Park mit diesem anderen golden angeleuchteten Haus im Hintergrund genau zwischen den Towers. Wieso allerdings so häufig Rooftop-​Bars, die mehr von Touris als von Hotelgästen angesteuert werden, unbedingt einen riesigen Pool benötigen, verstehe ich nicht… So auch hier: Man muss schon etwas aufpassen, um zu seinen Plätzen in bester Lage zu kommen. Ansonsten: Super Musik (je nach Themenabend), Clubmäßige Beleuchtung und halt der beste Blicks KLs!
Die Bar ist dadurch natürlich ein absoluter Touri-​Hotspot, die Preise für Cocktails und Fingerfood sind etwas überteuert, aber das ist ok für den Blick! Wir hatten reserviert, ich glaube, für abends ist das absolut zu empfehlen. Vor allem, wenn man direkt den Blick genießen möchte und nicht auf der «falschen» Seite des Pools, an der Bar, Platz nehmen möchte. Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, ist eine Reservierung bis 22 Uhr ohne Mindestverzehr möglich, danach war das irgendwie anders (ich bin mir allerdings nicht mehr ganz sicher).
Wie gesagt, der Blick ist grandios. Nachteilig allerdings: Bei Regen schließt das Dach sowie die Wände nicht richtig. Wir waren nach einem Regenschauer dort und ein Großteil der gepolsterten Sitzmöbel war durchnässt. Wir saßen dadurch auf einem großen Kissen bzw. auf den Flächen weiter weg von der Wand, welche trocken waren. Hinderlich!!! Da es in KL aber zu 95% der Zeit trocken ist, sollte das kein Problem sein.

SkyBar at Traders Hotel is a bar with a spectacular view! Especially if you are able to snag some of the seating by the window to see the Petronas Twin Towers in all its glory.
Happy hour is everyday from 11AM-​9PM. Ladies night is on every Wednesday.
The pool in the middle is equally tempting for going for a dip or for pushing unsuspecting people into. Neither have I tried myself yet to date.
The music (and the view!) is what wins here. I happily bop along to the familiar and catchy songs that the DJ plays. Either all the DJs employed here are fantastic at moving the crowd or I’ve been incredibly lucky with the nights I’ve been there and the music that particular DJ played.
The TVs around the bar show photos and videos of people enjoying their time at SkyBar and snippets of the NYE celebration there. While I’ve never seen the bar to that capacity before, I can imagine that SkyBar is a great contender for the best spot to celebrate New Years in downtown KL.
Come here for the views and great people watching during a night out on the town!

Ok, to say it clear: The best thing about the SkyBar is the spetacular view of the Petronas Towers — and the pool. The pool itself is covering the majority of the floorspace in this bar which actually limits the space fort people to move around. So it might never appear crowded, as the pool is always empty at night. On the other hand side, if you’re seated in one of the booths on the windows, the way out after a couple of drinks is somewhat thrilling…
Music is fine and depends as always on the DJ. Drinks are slightly overpriced as to be expected in such a place.

This spot is so sexy! Not only was the DJ playing ALL MY FAVORITE MUSIC (how did he know?!? 60s/​70s/​80s american throwbacks in Kuala Lumpur??) but there was plenty of room to dance, a pool set into the floor, overlooking a gorgeous nighttime skyline with the Petronas towers. It is open to the air, so you have some breezes coming through in this tower, and since it’s so humid, that is a treat! I had a lychee rose cocktail, which I am going to make at home because I won’t be able to ship them over to me every Friday. At $ 13 a drink, it is pretty much on par with a nice American bar in terms of pricing. During New Year’s and some other special events, they have some epic parties with lovely ladies decked out in costume, and if I have the chance to go for New Year’s in KL I will spend it at Skybar.

My husband’s cousin took us to the Skybar inside Traders Hotel to grab a drink during the daytime to sit and enjoy the view of the beautiful Petronas towers from a short distance away.
Only a short walk from KLCC, I am definitely glad we stopped by! What a unique place. In the centre of this bar there is a long rectangle swimming pool where guests of the hotel, I assume, are able to swim and do laps while the restaurant/​bar serves drinks to its patrons around the perimeter. Seating alongside the perimeter are separated with sofas cabana pods where you and your party can order drinks and hang out. On the other side there are bar stools and small tables.
The super cool thing is a guy was doing laps when we were there sipping our beers and it started raining! They have an open sunroof so the rain was coming in and falling into the swimming pool. How cool to be swimming in a controlled swimming pool with rain It felt very serene and peaceful with the sound of rain splashing into the pool. Fortunately with the way the space is built, rain only fell into the pool and not much elsewhere.
My experience was based on a daytime visit so I’m sure it would be very different at night when the place turns into a club/​lounge. I reckon that it gets pretty busy (and fancy) in the evenings as a nightclub, but can’t speak on it. Pretty cool space, albeit small.

Hier bezahlt man die Aussicht. Leider kann ich nur sagen, das der Blick auf die Tower toll ist und die Location einen WoW Effekt hat. Die Cocktails sind Mittelklasse aber im Vergleich zu anderen Bars teuer. Durch die Tower wird aber jeder Touri angelockt und die meisten kommen nur für ein Getränk um Fotos zu machen. So auch wir…

Great views of the Twin Towers, especially at night. Huge windows if you can get a seat there its great. During the day this area is used as the pool area for Traders Hotel, at night it is fist pumping music and day glo tables with guido looking servers. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Is a bit small since the pool is in the middle but if you get an area by the window, its comfortable. There is room for at least 8 – 10 persons if you are coming with friends.

Their advertisement proudly claims ‘if you haven’t been to Skybar, you haven’t been to KL’. And let’s just say, we’d agree on that. Skybar is by far one of the best bars (if not the best) in the city.
With a gleaming view of Twin Towers, modern design of alcoves and a relaxed atmosphere, drinking in the sky never felt so good before. Come during happy hours for the Mojito or stay till late to hit the (unofficial) dance floor. Either way, SkyBar never disappoint.

This is an amazing pub from where you will have an amazing view of KL.
The place is a restaurant during day and once the sun goes down the plays transforms in a pub /​club. The place is very nice, fancy with nice drink and as I mentioned amazing view. What I like about the place is the fact that every Wednesday they have «Ladies Night» which means that if you are a girls you have free drinks. The music is great, with new DJ’s every time.
The price of the drinks are quite high, and you have to pay entrance to go in.
I definitely recommend the place for the view of the KL towers.

This place is really awesome! but also very expensive! I only went there on girls night with my Friend on a Thursday. the drinks are usually served up to 10pm for free to girls. so you can take the opportunity and enjoy yourself!
At first it sucked a bit because we liked the sofa tables on the window view which looks so beautiful! many tables were empty but reserved. I asked the server and he explained that we can book a table free of charge we just have to add our names to the waiting list, so is someone doesn’t show up it’s completely ours! my friend wasn’t so sure about it, but I went and registered at the reception and funny thing happen, 15 minutes later we are called to the table! it so cool! I loved the view! I love that they have such huge pool in the middle! with beautiful lighting set up!
If you are in KL then you must go to Skybar! try to go by sunset! the view is breathtaking! :)

Amazing view with amazing ambience to fit the experience for you and your friends… SKY BAR is perfect during sunset. The reflections bounce back from the (swimming) pool and create light on the walls when that happens.
When you walk in, you will see a pool of water (I’m not sure whether it is used for swimming) on the ground and if you don’t pay attention, you might fall in so mind your steps!
Sky Bar is in Sheraton Hotel next to KLCC, so you can imagine the type of view this places offers. The prices of drinks like alcohol, cocktails or mocktails are similar to top-​notch bars, like LUNA Bar, Marini’s 57. You can also order Italian food here.

When we’re talking about the bars in Malaysia, it’s hard to forget Skybar that located on top of the Traders Hotel in the heart of KL city. The truth is Skybar is truly the best bar in Malaysia by tracking down all the awards and certifications that they have received. It’s not hard to be the best but the consistency as the greatest is the hardest challenge.
The ideal time to be in here must be during the dawn and onwards. Choose any place that you want but the best option is by the pool. Yep, There is a pool inside a rooftop bar. This the best view of KL that you could best. There are any better place than this.
Having a glass of Lychee Rose Martini while watching the beauty of KLCC Twin Tower is definitely one of my moment of all time. The drinks are great and the foods are magnificent while the environment is undoubtly the greatest. I am a night person but I’d rather prefer a bar than the night clubs.

Skybar is a great destination if you’ve got a friend in town. The views from on top of the traders hotel look back over KL CC and I are quite stunning. That being said, there are certainly times to avoid coming here because it is not that big, very popular and also quite expensive.
In my opinion, the time to come to Skybar is about 6:30 PM on a Monday Tuesday or Wednesday. This is happy hour and drinks are 2-​for-​1. Plus this is the time to come when it is not super crowded. Although, I would still book a table ahead of time. The lounge type seeing off the pool has the best views of KLCC.
The specialty cocktails are okay here I’m not going to say that they are amazing. They are expensive (RM50), but considering the view is not that bad. The Manhattan that they make there is not awful.
If you try and come on a Friday or Saturday night be ready to stand, have the music for little bit too loud and the bill a little bit too pricey. Unless you call ahead by a couple of days chances are you’re not going to enjoy much of the view either.

Stuffy is what I would describe Sky Bar as. Not in terms of the crowd who are fashionable enough but I’m talking about the temperature. Sure it’s a glamourous enough cocktail lounge that inhibits the 33^rd floor of Traders Hotel KL, but the open concept pretty much means that you’ll be sweating the life out of your dinner jacket should you decide to bust a move while you take in the KL skyline on more humid nights. I’ve found myself visiting the washroom multiple times to cool down seeing as how the loos here have AC that is more powerful than the actual bar.
My whinging aside though, I will admit that the venue is pretty sexy. A swimming pool features as a centerpiece and is surrounded by large cozy alcoves for people to lounge in on one end and high tables with bar stools for a more casual feel on the other. Drinks are pricey and not all too different from what you’ll find in any other high end bar in Kl but they are well prepared. It’s not the best rooftop bar that KL has to offer but it’s worth a visit and if you’re lucky, some drunk sod will attempt to take a dip in the pool, fully clothed.

As much as I absolutely loved the beautiful set up and great view, somehow or rather this place still didn’t quite do it for me. I can’t tell if it was the tacky blue lights or the music that didn’t accentuate the feel of the place.
When I visited, they played mostly club music but the only place to dance would be the tiny space in front of the DJ booth beside the pool. I personally loved the little cosy verandas with pretty cushions that was right beside the Twin Towers, it being intimate and sectioned. I felt that this beautiful place would have been more captivating if I wasn’t constantly feeling like as though I was in an empty club. The design of the place is built around a pool hence it can be narrow and people can’t crowd around. What I noticed were mostly guests seated around tiny round tables conversing and just chilling.
Drinks aren’t cheap too. I pretty much visited to get a feel of this stunning place but I left soon after wishing this place would have more. feel to it. Funny how the music had so much influence on my jurisdiction. Maybe, it’s just me. Constantly. feeling.

It is tourists number one attraction, a place with a view to go! And I understand why. The view is magnificent and they have a massive pool in the middle of the bar. The lightshow just turns it into an experience. You have to go there at least once if you are in KL!
Around Midnight people start dancing close to the DJ booth, so it is a live place where people meet and mingle. There’s definitely more action than in another skybar: Marini’s 57.
Another nice thing about Skybar is that they have ladies night every Wednesday night, where from 6pm to 11pm girls can enjoy free cocktails!
