Galaxy Pasta & Pizza

Horrible customer service. Some dumb chick answers the phone and rudely puts me on hold for 10 minutes. I hang up and call back to inquire about my order that is 20 minutes late already, and she says it’s coming. I ask, «when can I expect it?» She says, «soon?!?» Don’t waste your time with this place!

They best neighborhood pizza place. Huge TV, friendly stuff, big and bright sitting area, tasty pizza by slice accompanied by a big variety of beverages — that what I’m looking for when I want my pizza, and that what this place is about.

I must have been here for at least 10 times, which usually happens on a Monday when the place is empty except for a few customers who show up to make orders-​to-​go. But I may just be mistaken, as I’m usually in a meeting with my business partners when I’m here. The staff are helpful and attentive. Without us requesting them, they would even reduce the volume of the TV that almost always shows sports while my partners & myself are having our meeting. I love their pizza (have had hawaiian, meat lovers, vegetarian, plain, among others), which could be among the best pizza slices I’ve had so far. I think it’s because of the brick oven that they have, which makes the taste far superior than others. And I also have noticed that the pizza maker’s Italian (of course, I’m not sure if that matters when it comes to these things). I’ll be back again come Monday… BTW, this is a basic pizza place — if you want something fancier, get yourself seated in their restaurant (except for the bathroom, I haven’t been there yet to have a sit-​down meal, so let us know how the experience’s like).

I found this place a month ago and I probably order there around 10x already. The food is consistently VERY good! And the prices are very low. Which makes a awesome combo!
My boyfriend and I always stop by after work to pick up pizza or pasta to go when we don’t feel like cooking. I think their bread is homemade, and you have to try it! Honestly one of the best breads I ever had in my life!
I had the spaghetti and meatballs, the linguini puttanesca, all the special soups and many of their pizzas and everything tasted delicious. No disappointment with their food at all.
The reason why I’m taking one star away is that I feel like I have to be watching my bill closely. If you don’t pay attention they charge you the wrong price, few times I had to ask to see my ticket and check the prices and all the times they were overcharging me few dollars here and there. Like charging me for a pepperoni slice when I asked for a plain slice, charging me for a soup that should come with the meal, or even just adding up couple dollars to a dish when I have the menu right in front of me showing a different price. So watch out!
I’ll come back (many times), this place is conveniently located in front of my bus stop, only couple of blocks from my house and the food is VERY GOOD, I just wish I didn’t have to double check my bill every time I order dinner.

Awful service with an attitude problem. Yes this is one of those pizzerias where you’re required to purchase a minimum amount (I believe it is $ 10) in order to pay for your pizza with credit card.
That’s right that means if you’re buying a couple of slices of pizza and a snapple, you cannot use your debit/​credit card, and you’re SOL if you don’t have any cash on you.
I was 50 cents shy of their minimum and they still pointed at their $ 10 minimum sign. I asked them to exempt me from their policy given how I was only 50 cents below their minimum and they said no.
I left right away, will never give this place my business ever again. Of course the denial to accept payment also came with an attitude problem from the young lady working behind the counter. I am not going to fight to get their business. Not only that, but setting a minimum amount before accepting a credit card is a violation of both Visa and Mastercard policy, so they should be reported.
The pizza in this place is average, just about on par with the pizza you can get anywhere else in this area.
There is a pizzeria on park ave a couple of blocks away that accepts credit card and never gives an attitude. That is where I“ll be taking my business until they revise their absurd policy that violates their agreement with Visa/​MC.

This place is under new management and I must say the food and pizza has changed for the better! They have a 12 brunch menu that includes unlimited mimosa from 12 to 4 and the spinach empanadas are freshly made! Service and food has gotten way better.

I tried the pizza here when I first moved to the area in November 2012. I hated it. But I had heard that the ownership of the restaurant (Benito’s) had changed and that things had improved. The physical appearance of both sides of the restaurant has certainly improved 100%, so I decided to give the pizza a second chance.
What a huge mistake – the ownership has changed, but the people making the pizza have not, and they still make horrible pizza. It was greasy, the crust was so limp and soggy that the toppings would not stay put, even when folded. Maybe some people like this style of pizza, but I don’t. I had a stomach ache after two slices that stayed with me the rest of the day (I only ate two slices before giving up on it).
The worst part is that I just threw $ 16 in the trash. If you’re going to charge that much for a small pizza, it had better be worth it. Otherwise, I’ll just call Dominoes or Pizza Hut. They may not be «gourmet», but they never claimed to be, either.

I don’t understand how this place stays in business.
I have never had a worse slice of pizza in my life.
Seriously, if this slice was my only option… I think I’d just eat my shoe.

the service here is just so horrifying.
lady behind counter is so rude and even talks crap about other customers waiting on their order, to the other employees… and shes not discreet about it either. she bad mouths customers w volume, can hear her.
heard her getting phone orders and right when she hung up she says «people are so stupid. they cant get orders in right! blah blah»
i was shocked at her lack of class. seriously, if you hate life and your miserable dont take it out on ur customers, everyone has their bad days… so if u want to rant dont announce it to the whole store.
.I can’t believe someone this rude and disrespectful to her customers would even think of running a business. dont care if they have the best pizza, which they dont. it was mediocre at its best… but ill never going here again!

The pizza slices are always ready in minutes. Any toping you choose they put lots of it on each slice. There are 3 or 4 tables outside in the Galaxy Mall where you can eat your meal. Good place for a quick meal. They also have pasta and salad options and delivery is fast. The portions are pretty decent.
