I think this place is pretty underrated. As someone brought up in an Italian family, I almost never order Italian food. But sometimes you’re in a bind and need a late meal, and Brunello’s dishes are actually very good. I especially love their penne vodka with grilled chicken, but that’s just me. Their pizza is very good too. I think their slices are a bit expensive, but their pies are fairly priced.

The delicious brunch is gone. After taking a nice long walk and visiting what is now brunellos for what I thought was going to be a tasty brunch as usual when all of a sudden my dream bubble popped. Brunello no longer serves their amazing 8 dollar brunch menu with optional mimosa. Today is my very first fathers day, I thought it would have been swell to spend it dining at my favorite(and probably only) place that actually served a delicious brunch in the Weehawken area. Everything ranging from wonderful eggs Benedict or Florentine to a scrumptious Nutella pancake platter. The sides were just as good, my favorite was the sausages which were covered with taste bud popping tomato sauce, just wonderful. That menu … if I haven’t already said it before… Is gone. Replaced by a boring, generic and OK priced stand up buffet and to top it off that buffet is not available on holidays… like fathers day. The long walk back home was dissappointingly sad and painfully hungry. Brunello, go back to the killer unique brunches you use to have and maybe even serve them as a prifix menu with a vegetarian option on holidays?! Don’t fall into the normal, boring and easy way to brunch, you guys have something special stick with it!

I’ve lived in the galaxy all my life and seen this place change owners frequently. One this I miss is when the Greeks owned it. They had a full Italian menu and everything from the pizza to the stuffed shells was spectacular. Now this place has changed. And not for the better. When you pay premium price for A heated pizza no matter how much you beg for it to be heated it still comes cold. That’s when you seek good pizza on park ave. new pizza on the block on 64th better quality and heated pizza at your service.

I am not a big pizza person, but after discovering this place I think I might not be be able to say the same thing. This pizza place is conveniently located inside the galaxy towers. So if you live in one of the towers, you could come by and get yourself a slice and a good old wine without even stepping out of our building. They also have some nice fine dining in the front with live music on many nights. I have stopped by here many times with my daughter who loves their penne pizza which I find very unique and satisfying too. The standard slices are $ 1.95 and the the others are $ 2.50 and definitely not $ 4 as some other reviewer had stated. Yes this is not a 99 cents pizza place and nor does it taste like one. Their prices are very reasonable and their quality and service is very good This place is under a new management and the owner Silvio really wants to please his customers with his excellent customer service and amazing italian food. They seem to have some great sandwiches and pastas too. I cant wait to come back and try some of their other things on the menu. Do your self a favor and order pizza from Brunellos if you live around Galaxy. Trust me you wont regret it.

For those who know a good slice of pizza — I sincerely recommend you to reconsider stopping here for a slice. The pizza quality is terrible and they charge premium prices for it. There are many other local pizzerias that deliver a pie(few blocks away) with far superior quality that one can enjoy without using their tears(from feeling robbed out of the joyous experience that comes with having a good slice) to moisten it. I have lived in the Galaxy Towers for quite a while and was curious to see if the quality had improved under the new management after Benito’s left… to my disappointment the quality declined and the same staff was making the food I have posted a picture of my $ 4.00 «margarita» slice. That emptiness you see is the exposed dried out crusty garbage. Those spots of red is the sauce. Those blotches of white is the cheese.

I order a Sirloin steak, cooked perfectly temp usually accompanied by seasonal veggies and potatoes. Started with home made bruschetta and bread sticks absolutely fresh. Glass of Primitivo and I was in heaven. Not to mention the great service I received that makes me feel like home.
