We ordered the phô 102 special phô, the chicken vermicelli bowl and the fresh spring rolls. Everything was delicious and the service was polite and quick! Overall a very good choice for some delicious Vietnamese food.

Terrible health inspection, and the food was not good enough to ignore it. No thanks.

I had the Special Vermicelli, very good, this is my first time to actually try Vietnamese. My BF loves phở, he gives it 3.5 stars, his phở wasn’t piping hot, like he prefers and could use more meat.

My favorite phở in Olympia and I’ve tried lots of them! Great, fragrant broth. Just wish it had more cilantro in it. Otherwise perfect. Lots of tables and natural light as far as atmosphere. They tend to get busy and service can be a bit slow during the lunch and dinner rush, but worth it for the price and what you get. Hot tea is on the house.

If you do choose to eat here, do yourself a favor and pay cash. I have visited on two occasions. The first time I ordered the tofu phở. When I asked for it on the second visit I was told it has chicken broth. I wish I had known that as I am a vegetarian. I guess I assumed that tofu/veggie phở would be vegetarian. I got a tofu and rice dish instead. We ordered tea on both trips, and both times they forgot it until I reminded them and we had already been eating. Our waitress was young and seemed flustered and apologetic. When I went to pay a different woman(I think the waitresses mother) rang me up. She couldn’t get the credit card machine to work and kept swiping and swiping. I paid cash instead and asked if she had cancelled the transactions. She said yes, it only goes through if I sign. Then she gave me a dollar too much change and asked for it back until she saw me putting a tip in the jar. I was worried that she had charged me multiple times because she didn’t seem to know how to use the credit card machine. So I checked online, and sure enough saw two credit charges for my meal in addition to the cash I paid. So now I have to straighten that out. *Update: I called Phở 102 to have them cancel/credit me the transactions. Talked to the same lady and she insisted I hadn’t been charged. Then the phone was handed off twice and the man I talked to said I should come in and get a cash refund! He doesn’t know how to give me a credit. He said he would ask his sister how to do it and call me back, which didn’t happen. I then called my credit card company a second time to get the charges reversed! What a pain for some mediocre phở!

I was served raw chicken. When I asked him to cook it thoroughly he laughed incredulously. The water tasted like dish soap. Never going back. what a way to treat a loyal customer.

Went her last week and asked for hot tea for my drink and the tea came and it was not hot at all! Asked for another one and it was warm but not hot… The phở was good though, the husband and I got the one with everything in it. Ordered some type of BBQ for my daughter and was not impressed at all. Probably won’t be back at this place unless I am really craving for phở that is close by, otherwise I would drive all the way to lakewood to get my phở fix.

This place is absolutely amazing! We live in Bakersfield, CA but came up last year to visit friends and family. Most of them have never tried phò so I invited everybody to try it since I love it. I Unilocaled it and chose the place by location only since I was still in Cali when I created the FB event. When we pulled up, as you can imagine, I had 2nd thoughts. The place is worn down and ugly from the outside. I told the owner that we would be having approximately 15 – 20 people. He looked a little nervous, but rearranged tables to fit us all together. We took over most of the seating. The service was slow, but we expected it with so many people. With a group our size, we were actually pleasantly surprised with the speed. And once the food came, the waiters and owner were quick to field any requests. The actual phò was where the money’s at! It was absolutely incredible! I’ve tried many locations and this place is definitely one of my favorites in Cali or WA! We visited again a few months back in June and again just the past Monday. It’s our new tradition goodbye meal with the family and friends. Each time there is 15 – 20 people. Seems each time we also have a phò virgin join us who ends us loving it and wanting to come back!

Came back to phở 102 again. Tried to give it another chance to increase from my last 1 star review. Terrible service. I had to flag the waiter down after 10 minutes on a completely empty day, to take my order. Even then the waiter barely spoke English. And after 5 minutes of explaining I just wanted a beef phở bowl, we had to use another customer who spoke Vietnamese and English just to order my fucking food. Good took 21 minutes to get to my table. Phở doesn’t take 21 minutes to make. When it arrived I was already out of water, no refill was seen my whole meal. This place is disgraceful. Somehow magically, the food was worse then the service. Stay clear of phở 102, unless you speak Vietnamese. I WILLNEVERRETURN. WORST restaurant in tumwater.

The hardest thing a phở restaurant has to deal with for their food is consistency and Phở 102 is very consistent.

Went here for lunch today and I was skipped by people who already ate and wanted to pay. I won’t be spending my money with businesses that see me standing ready to order and take the people behind who are ready to pay. My time and money are just as valuable as others. Bad customer service right off the bat.

Long day off fishing and came to eat here. The service sucks, waiter don’t speak english and served 4 others before us. Spring rolls looked like they were wrapped by an 5 year old and egg rolls were skimpy. Sat here for 20 minutes before getting food.

Oh damn this place is good. The spring roll was amazing, get more than one, you’ll want more. The phở was delicious. The broth was rich and the noodles were great. The ambiance is weird since it’s an old Arby’s but that’s fine. Worth trying and returning.

Editing my original review: Since I originally reviewed Phở 102, the speed of service has gotten even slower. In addition, they just got nailed by the health department for unsafe conditions and had to shut down for quite some time. Any place that gets shut down and not just a warning, is a place I do not recommend. Below is my original(4 star) review for your reference: Good phở, large portions. I recommend the #1 Phở and also the Won Ton soup. The broth is very flavorful and you get a ton of noodles. The service at Phở 102 can be slow, especially if you’re eating between 11 and 1 during the week. The food more than makes up for it, though.

Came here with my mom. She would eat at this family’s last restaurant, and brought me along. We were seated and had drinks quickly. The menu was well organized and clear. Our food came out quickly, but long enough to make it obvious it was fresh. Our food and tea arrived hot and plated very neatly. The restaurant was clean and well lit. The blinds had been adjusted to keep the dining room comfortble. I have eaten my fare share of Asian cuisines and the food was great. I have been back several times. Great for a laid back lunch date, a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon or a place to bring your family for dinner. Don’t forget to ask for a to-go container if you need it!

The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired — but the food is awesome! Vegetarian /tofu phở is delicious, and the egg noodle vegetable platter was tasty, too.(But I’d stick to the phở, and will get mine again next week). Hearty, fresh & spicy(to your liking) this is good stuff. The owner is frequently in the store having his dinner — nice young guy — and the staff moves quickly.

Best Phở and bahn mi in Tumwater. Food is always good. The only downside is service is sometimes slow during lunch hour so consider calling in ahead of time if your in a rush.

The phở is good, and price is decent for the area. Parking can be tough at lunch sometimes(about 10 spots) but it’s worth the wait. I wish the broth were more flavorful, but considering the other phở places in the area, I give it 4 stars. Service can be a little slow, so if you are like me and only have an hour for lunch, don’t bring a large group here. It is best with groups of 4 people or less. They do take credit cards, which is always a plus!

I’m curious as to the«102» in the name? Standard Vietnamese fare including Phở noodle soup. It was average, not bad but not great. I like to support new restaurants ESP in my own town. It’s very strange that the entrance to the bathrooms are from the outside! The building was an Arby’s. Driving your car to the restaurant is most challenging unless you are driving eastbound on Trosper. If you come up north on Capital Way you can cut across the old bank on the corner, but be careful of the oncoming traffic! Lol Service was very polite & prompt. I will return!
