Super cheap and it can fill you up twice :) Beef Noodle, Lamb Noodle, Dumplings Really for the price, it is delicious.

A real disappointment. Heads up, if it’s less than thirty dollars, they only accept cash. I had the lamb noodle soup, and my friend had the fried noodles and fried green onion pancake. The pancake was clearly from a frozen brand I’ve had before. The lamb noodle soup was okay, but a huge step down from how it had been in the past since it seems they don’t even hand make their noodles anymore. My friend’s stir fried noodles could only be considered decent. Would not go here again. Cocos Café is a much better place next door with cheap and tasty Chinese food.

We liked the food a lot better in the Sugar Land location than the one in Chinatown.

Located in a plaza just off of Highway 6. The store is to the side so you have to be on the lookout when you first enter the plaza. Plenty of parking in front of the store. The interior isn’t too fancy. Everything is kept pretty clean for the most part. The tables could be a bit sticky, but isn’t too bad. Most of the tables seat about 4 people. Instead of using chairs, the establishment utilizes benches. The store now has an English menu instead of just the written Chinese menu which is on the wall. It’s a self-serve establishment. All the sauces, tea, water are all located at the front of the store, and you just serve yourself. I had a lamb noodle soup. It wasn’t too bad, but I felt like it was a bit on the salty side. It could just be a characteristic of the type of cuisine that is served here. I’ve been here a couple of times and all my impressions on the food has pointed to just 3 stars. Not bad, but not necessarily good. I wouldn’t mind coming here again, but only if a friend wanted to come. I don’t think I would voluntarily come back out to this location on my own. Bonus: Be sure to bring cash. This place is cash only

We love their noodle soup. Very nice people. Worm friendly atmosphere. Soup is fresh all the time we go. Noodles are so tasty too.

Located in Sugar Land. This family owned business has been here for ages! If craving dumplings or a noodle soup this is a good choice. They take cash only though. One thing I noticed though is that the broth in some of their soups is not as flavorful as other places I’ve been in Bellaire’s Chinatown as an example. Maybe that’s why I had not been there in awhile. Also since Phở Ben opened my family prefers that place mainly for the ambience and the fact that they accept credit cards. Benches for seats. You help yourself to water and tea. Not fancy but ok at best The green onion pancakes remind me of my youth when my father used to make them.

You can tell it’s a small, probably family owned, restaurant when you walk in. The portions are large for the prices. The beef noodle soup was tender and not too salty. The pan fried dumplings are my favorite! It’s just really cramp, self service for water or tea, and they accept only cash. The bottles of soy sauce feel kinda sticky, but overall the food is satisfying.

For the prices and portion it’s pretty good. As some of the other reviews mention there is a measure of blandness in their food. That doesn’t mean their isn’t any flavor but just say it’s kept to a minimum. Regardless of the soup noodles, it’ll all be the same kind. The mushroom soup had the most flavor to me, it was very good and so are their dumplings. Best to bring a mandarin speaker. This place is cash only, and extremely quick service, but they bring items when they can and in whatever order. Self serve water, tea, utensils, to-go boxes, napkins, etc. It’s not the cleanest and not the most filthiest place I’ve been too. The décor certainly matches the name of the restaurant and makes me feel like I’m not in the states which was neat. Over all not a bad experience.

I’ve lived near this restaurant for a long time and I’ve only been there 3 times. I really enjoy a good bowl of chinese beef noodle soup and I’ve had good and bad. i don’t understand why people like their beef noodle soup?! It is bland, it tasted like soy sauce noodle soup with beef?! That’s really just my opinion. BUT, they do have very good dumplings for very cheap. I’ve also had their Szhchuan noodles and I like that one too, its made with minced pork and a little bit of chili pepper. Over all if you are craving for good dumplings, I would recommend this place.

haha old place café décor matches its name perfectly. Its not a bad thing, but I really felt like I went back in time to an old chinese café! beef noodle soup-money, that beef is so tender & juicy pan fried dumplings– good, oily, but it hits the spot

You can always rely on good dumplings here. They also have some yummy beef noodles. Its self serve and the prices are reasonable. $ 5.50 for one dish.

The family and I wanted to try Dumpling and More, but it was closed by the landlord for non rental payment. So we went here based on my Mom’s recomendation. We tried the pan fried, broiled, and stream pork dumplings. All were good and the prices were very reasonable. Definitly will come back again for our dumpling fix. The place is small and can get crowded during lunch hours on weeken. Cash only.

I wanted to like this place because my aunt raves about their dumplings and how wonderful their food was. I don’t like dumplings much but these tasted like they came from the freezer at Ranch 99. However, everything I tried was bland. The onion pancakes were decent but I wish there was something I could eat with them. The sides of tofu and salad didn’t taste like anything. We also ordered beef noodle soup and a bowl of noodles with minced pork in it. I couldn’t remember how any of the dishes tasted. They gave plenty of shrimp in the seafood rice. Order at the counter. Everything is self-serve. Pick up the utensils and your drinks before you seat yourself.

It’s a little dumpling/noodle hole in the wall shop. Overall, it’s a good fix if your craving for dumplings and noodle soup on a cold day. Food: I typically order the pan fried dumplings, steamed chive dumplings, Spicy Beef noodle soup or the Beef Tomato Noodle Soup. The food has always been delicious. Their portion are large enough to share. Pan Fried dumplings — tasty, full of flavor, and fried just right Spicy Beef Noodle soup — good chunks of beef tendon, veggies, and I usually add more chilli to make it spicier, but it’s pretty good without the additions Beef tomato noodle soup — good chunks of beef, tendon, tomatoes. Service: They speak only Mandarin, so I usually read the English translation on the menu and point to what I would like to order. They’re not too courteous to their guest. I was placing an order one time and this waitress shoved me to the side from out of no where. She didn’t apologize and proceeded into the restaurant kitchen. Price: Inexpensive for the generous portions that they serve Cleanliness: every once in a while, you’ll get a surprise visit by a roach on the wall or your seat… eek! If that doesn’t bother you, then give it a try! Tips: Cash ONLY!

I’ve been coming here since they’ve been open. It’s always hot in here and I always feel out of place(even though I’m Chinese). The only reason why I don’t come here often is because I never have cash(I don’t know if they started accepting credit cards and don’t want to risk it). I always order the spicy beef noodle soup and the steam chive dumplings. I’ve had their lamb noodle soup before and I didn’t really like it, so I just stick to what I like. I love the chili oil that they have on display right by the tv. On my recent trip here to pick up to-go. I didn’t like my spicy beef noodle soup because the noodles were over cooked and I didn’t get enough of the pickled mustard greens. It could just be an off day. This place is a self serve with their water and teas on the counter with the TV, next to the chili oil and fresh garlic. They also have a fridge by the cashier with cold appetizers, I would occasionally get the pigs ear(if they have it). Also, don’t worry about reading the menu in Chinese, there’s usually an English menu on the counter where you order and you could just point to what you want.

First time here, got lost at first since the address provided by Unilocal was on the opposite side of the highway of where the restaurant actually is lol From reading a couple of past reviews, I was hesitant to try this place due to 1) Past cases of roaches found in their food. 2) Crowded 3) At times rude However, I am always willing to try any dish that has lamb in it so I took my chances and got the Lamb Noodle to go and I guess I was lucky. I didn’t get any roaches, the café was actually empty when I came in(4 ish), and the lady that gave me my meal was super nice. She kept on mentioning to me about this supermarket next door though, I guess its a place we should check out? lol The meal came out to be 7 something but I swear I saw on the menu it was just 6 dollars… I guess they charge 50 cents for anybody getting to go items? Not sure, I’m only assuming that since I saw a big sign outside with the number 50 and chinese words underneath it lol Either way, it didn’t matter because my to go lamb noodle was enough to feed both me and my friend. Good portion and good amount of meat! Keep in mind this place is cash only for those that love to use card =)
