About the worst a restaurant can get without making people sick. Clues we are gonna get screwed. Clue 1. Ciracha was brown, after asking for a fresher bottle, the next one was medium brown(Ciracha is supposed to be red like ketchup). Clue 2. 2 of us ordered different soups, they came out being exactly the same. Food: Soups– bland and just tasted like water with food coloring. The Meat in it was odd looking, scared to eat more than 1 piece. D Sandwich– Bread could break your jaw. D Not on my list of places to go, but when the next hurricane strikes, this place might be a better alternative to starve. And it wont have a line.

This restaurant always has very few customers if not totally empty when I walk by. One day I just want to check if this is indeed a hidden gem so I went in an ordered a «beef flat noodle» and a Vietnamese sandwich. It was a great disappointment. Many of the noodle pieces were hard to chow because they were too dry. The beef didn’t taste fresh. The french bread tasted like overdue, perhaps too few customers. The vegetable was not fresh either. I wouldn’t want to try it again… unless I see more positive comments here.

My wife and I love the #75, pork sandwich. We get it to go about once a month. The cucumbers and carrots are great and the bread was warm and crispy. On occasion we get the pan fried dumplings on the side because it feels strange to just have a sandwich without chips or fries. The lady behind the counter is always the same, sweet and kind. I usually ask for no jalapenos and cilantro. Can’t recomend this place enough and the prices seem cheap to me. Oh, one BIG note: they only take cash!

I was in the mood for banh mi, but I hate having to drive to Bellaire for it, so having driven by several times in the past, I thought I’d give Linh’s a try. They have a good variety on their menu, and there’s even pictures of their food posted above the register and on the walls, which is perfect if you want to let your eyes do the ordering. I noticed they offer a variety of noodle dishes including flat noodles which I may try next. The lady at the counter was very patient while I studied the menu. The BBQ pork banh mi was barely passable. The bread didn’t have that nice crispness I enjoy, and while there was a generous portion of pork, much of it contained an excessive amount of fatty bits. Expect to pay about $.75 more than what you are use to for banh mi. How disappointing. First Colony needs a good banh mi place already, especially with the huge Asian population living here!

I heard good things about this place, so I thought I’d give it a try. I had the chicken sandwich and it was disgusting. The chicken had no flavor, the bread was soft and not crispy, the carrots were bland, and the price of the sandwich was 3.75!!! What a ripoff. Don’t go here.
