What a great new addition(prob 8 months old) to my area. I loved every second of the experience and the food. Service was top notch, I loved the look of the restaurant, and the food was filling and delicious. Filet mignon egg rolls were quite delicious. It wasn’t too greasy and had the perfect flavor. Presentation of this dish was also nice. Pork Mac n cheese — I didn’t really get to eat much of it. Had a taste but it was so good. It was literally baked to perfection. My son loved it so much, he almost are the whole thing himself I chose one of the specials for my meal. Salmon stuffed with crab meat on top of parmesan risotto. Oh my, it was so good. The salmon just melted in my mouth and loved the risotto so much. It was creamy and had the perfect amount of parmesan. They definitely should make this a permanent on their menu. It’s a bit pricey, but the portions are a good size, so you do get what you paid for. Can’t wait to try other things in the menu.

We came here on the recommendation of a friend… It’s great! Ignore the Days Inn and the BestBuy, this place is clean, classy and the food was great. The Red Iron pub is only 6 months old and, apparently, still flying under the radar. Let’s put ‘em on the map!

I had the pleasure of dining here today at lunchtime with a friend. I first want to say that our server, Karen, was amazing! She was our server, bartender and also appeared to be answering the phones doing reservations. She never skipped a beat with us! Our drinks were always filled, and she made us feel as if we were old friends instead of strangers. She is fantastic! Next I have to comment on the food. We both had the onion soup which was delicious. The cheese was perfectly melty and crisp at the same time! We shared the boneless wings with Thai chile sauce and they were just crispy enough with a perfect amount of sauce! Very tasty. We also shared the cheeseboard which was great but I think we maybe over-ordered because we were so hungry lol! It was great but went unfinished! It was served with crispy bread that was very flavorful. Lastly, I have to say the décor was BEAUTIFUL! Seriously when we walked in, having been to the previous restaurant, it has been completely remodeled! It’s both cozy and contemporary. The wallpaper is very elegant and the tiles in the bathroom are beautiful. We will definitely be back to this restaurant!

I hoped to be more impressed. My husband said, «This place looks like it’s in search of an identity.» Is it a sports bar? Fine dining restaurant? Let’s start with the drinks. I ordered a top-shelf margarita which was served«up» in a martini glass. Weird and incompatible with a wobbly table. The beer menu was very unimpressive and they were out of the Stella my husband tried to order. Now, for the food. The complimentary chips were delicious. The wedge salad was pretty good. The grouper entrée served on risotto and spinach was really good! However, the filet egg rolls were a greasy mess.(I ordered the clams but they weren’t available.) We ordered a piece of cheesecake to go and it came with whipped cream, but no fresh berries as described on the menu. The atmosphere is the real reason we won’t return. When we arrived at 8pm on a Sunday, there was a Flyers game on the giant TV that drowned out the background music.(The bar was empty and the bartender was the only one watching.) When we left, five guys were sitting at the bar enjoying the game and a late dinner and the dining room was empty. Partitioning would help a lot. Finally, even though there were very few diners, the server was barely present. We had to ask whether they had any specials. The server was prepping for the next day while we waited for our check. To-go containers were plopped in the middle of the table for us to package our own leftovers. The guys at the bar seemed to have found Red Iron’s sweet spot: Go for a game and get some really decent food and you’ll probably be happy.

The staff of friendly and very helpful, especially for a visitor like me. From the outside I did not expect much, just a quick meal for breakfast. But the breakfast was exceptionally tasty, and pretty cheap too. I came back agian for breakfast the next day, and I’m actually writing this at the end of my dinner here! If you want good food, and a pretty good sports bar too, this is definately the place! I strongly recommend this place!!!

We were running around and didn’t feel like cooking so we called ahead and ordered to go. Thanks Unilocal and Steven B! We chose this because of your review and the fact that they had honey fried chicken on the menu and we could pick up! Ordered at 4:40, they said 25 min. Arrived at 5:20, left at 5:30 — not the quickest but i wasn’t in a hurry so it didn’t bother me very much. Ambiance is pretty terrible when football is on and you don’t like football. Music overhead for those in the dining room but the bar has the TV going which is basically in the dining area. So not sure I would return to dine here or for the ambiance but the food was pretty dang good. I had the house salad and Fried Chicken meal. The house salad was micro greens with a light and delicious red wine vinaigrette. It was 1 piece of honey fried chicken, crispy and delicious. It was atop a heaping portion of bacon mashed potatoes, it was REAL bacon ya’ll. YUM! And garlic sautéed green beans. Overall it was filling and delicious. Very impressive for a restaurant connected to a hotel on Baltimore Pike. There were 3 other main courses we ordered and everyone said it was delicious. So thanks Red Iron Pub for creating a delicious meal on a busy day!

Went last night on a date. Based on reviews on Unilocal it sounded like a good bet. I was very impressed. We sat at the bar and it was very comfortable and the bartenders were very friendly. The food is exceptional, I was so impressed I’m writing my first review on Unilocal.Started with the Filet Cheesesteak Egg Rolls that are absolutely delicious. I’d come back just for those. But each dish we tried rivaled them on quality factor. Seared Ahi Tuna rolls with mango black bean salsa were on the special menu. Wow so good. Super fresh and great flavors. The Baked Clams were so good. I really enjoyed them. Perfection. Each app was so good. I can’t pick one that I could say I liked best. They all tied for 1st place. We split the Chicken Parm over Gnocchi. Wow. Huge Perfectly crispy outer with juicy tender fresh chicken breast. The sauce is what put it over the top. It was one of the best red sauces I’ve tasted. It really put it over the top. The gnocchi were great too. Perfectly cooked and not like some places where they expand in your stomach and bloat up. They were just right. Overall I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food. For the quality of the food it was worth the price of the $ 11 apps. The entrée prices reasonable for the quality. The Chicken Parm was worth every penny for $ 18. Beer selection isn’t huge but they have Hop Devil on tap which is good enough for me on a date night out. $ 6 a draft skews a tad higher then other places but they were in real pint glasses, not the 14oz faux pint glasses most places serve you with an inch of foam on top. So I thought it was worth it Overall I’d say it’s a home run for me. Two thumbs up. Can’t wait to go back and try out the rest of the menu.

I was looking for someplace new to eat and I saw my friend Steven B’s review and decided to give this place a try. Glad I did! I showed up a little after 9pm on Saturday night. The inside was completely remodeled from what it used to be. Very well done, in my opinion. It has a great modern look. The lighting is nice, the design of the walls fit perfectly and there were plenty of tables. There was a bunch of people in there enjoying dinner and as they were leaving, the staff would push the table to the side out of the way to slowly start clearing the floor for later. It was a Saturday night and the DJ was setting up to play some tunes for the old-head«mature» Delco crowd. This place screams DELCO! lol it’s like Septembers Place meets The Springfield Inn meets The Columbus Club. Thats a good thing! When I walked in I asked the lady at the door if they were still serving dinner. I think her name was Kelly. She said yes and walked me to my table. She hung out and told me all about the place and the food there. I was really impressed with her service. They started me off with a glass of water and their home made potato chips with a cheesy dip along side. They were pretty good. After looking over the menu for a few minutes, I made my decision. I had to try the Filet Mignon Egg Rolls, because Steven B said they were great. They were stuffed with Wild Mushroom and Smoked Cheddar and had a Horseradish/Chive sauce under them on the plate. They were also garnished with some crispy onions(see picture). They weren’t bad. A good amount of cheese, meat, and a flaky outside. I wish they had some kind of dip to go with them. Maybe a spicy tomato/cheese or something like that. I also ordered the Baked Clams(see picture). They were really good. You got 12 of them with a lemon and some bread. Yumm! The real treat came when I tried their special. It wasn’t on their main menu, and I truly hope they bring it back. Blackened Salmon & Shrimp, Lump Crab Risotto, Garlic Spinach, Tomato Beurre Blanc(see picture). ITWASDELICIOUS! Cooked perfectly with the perfect amount of spices. I ate it slowly because I wanted to take the time to experience every single flavor that was bursting out of it. I even burped a few times after I was finished eating it so I could experience the flavor again lol :) I enjoyed my visit here. The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. I think its a great place to bring a date, even if you are 20 – 30 years younger than everyone else in the room. The DJ had some fun oldies playing in the background, and I think it would be fun to hang out in there and people-watch. Make sure you give this place a try!

Prices are great and the brunch was yummy. I had pancakes — they were delicious and had a vanilla syrup baked in, so I didn’t even need to add any butter or syrup to it! I’ve been here twice, both times the pancakes were very good. The service is a little slow which is odd since it wasn’t very busy either time I was in there. We went here on a recommendation from a waitress at Vida, as it’s owned by the same company. Will defintely check it out again for brunch!

I was a little skeptical at first since it was connected to a hotel but I’m glad I came. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. It wasn’t a huge menu but the items they offered were very unique. I went with a party of 4 and we all got different things so we could taste each other’s food. EVERYTHING tasted superb. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back

If you eat in Delaware County you know that EDGEWOOD is one of the finest restaurants around. This new place has the same owners so I was expecting to be impressed. My expectations were met! The LOCATION will surprise you and it’s easy to drive right by it. They need to work on their signage. It’s the restaurant that supports the Days Inn so look for that sign and you’re there. The building itself is basically a box so they didn’t have much architecture to work with. However you can tell they spent some serious $$. It’s bright and airy with a beautiful large copper-topped bar. The ATMOSPHERE is not typical pub. They have handled their ADULTLIBATION offerings very nicely. There is a decent beer list, a very nice specialty cocktail list, and plenty of wine as well. Some folks might say that a «Pub» should have a bigger beer list and they might be correct. They’re new so we’ll see how they adjust. I enjoyed a house Merlot for $ 6.50. If you are eating a pleasant surprise is a complimentary basket of incredible house-made potato chips and gorgonzola dipping sauce. They are served beautifully and my fellow Unilocalers have posted a couple of pics. I ordered the Filet Mignon Egg Rolls with Wild Mushroom & Smoked Cheddar, Horseradish Chive Sauce and accompanied by Crispy Onions for $ 12. For the rest of my life I will be comparing every other eggroll to these. To me they are the best eggrolls on the planet! Bursting with flavor and beyond stuffed with tender filet. My bet is that for most folks this is going to be a 4 – 5 star experience as it was for me.

This side of Delco is flooded with Sports bars. I was excited to hear a craft beer bar would be opening on Baltimore Pike in Springfield. I so wanted to like the Red Iron Pub, but I was not impressed. To start, the restaurant is attached to a motor lodge and the sign is very small & easy to drive by, so they rolled out one of those portable signs you see at carnivals or used car dealerships… tacky! You can tell they put money into the interior(lots of nice tile work, copper bar, cool fireplace), but it still has the layout of a motor lodge bar, not a cozy pub like I was expecting from the name. By the front door is a chalk board with their craft beers. Five were listed(1-pumpkin, 1-IPA, 1-ale, 1-stout that had been kicked, and Yuengling Lager). If you’re from Philly, Yuengling Lager is not a craft beer. As far as selection, the sports bar up the street has a better selection. We went in on a Sunday afternoon and were the ONLY two customers at the bar. They had a small menu, we opted for the filet egg rolls, chicken quesadillas, and wings. It was ok, not outrageous. I don’t know if the target audience for this place are the people staying at the motor lodge or if they’re looking to serve the locals. One experience left me with a «meh» feeling. If I was just passing through town… fine. As a local… I’ll go somewhere else.

Great place, especially if you are staying at the Days Inn Springfield. Top notch homemade choices. I had the Applewood Smoked Wings and the Filet Mignon Eggrolls. They were great. Give the staff a chance. They are new also and learning their way around.

Ehhhh… Went with hubbs for dinner. I had the honey fried chicken and hubs had a burger and we split the filet egg rolls. Egg rolls didn’t have much flavor. The fried chicken was well cooked, hubs enjoyed his burger. Nothing amazing, but pretty good. A little on the pricier side… probably not going to be a regular spot but it’s good as a backup. Expected more from this place, we LOVE Edgewood Café!

I’ve been here quite a few times now in the past week and a half. Every time, the experience has been phenomenal! The food is delicious, the drinks are fantastic, and the staff there are very friendly! The first time I went, it was for dinner. I had the Ultimate Seafood Scampi and it was wonderful. 10⁄10 would recommend if you enjoy seafood as much as I do! The last few times I’ve gone, I sat at the bar for a few drinks with my fiancé. All the bartenders we met were great, but one in particular was spectacular. He was very friendly and had no problem making conversation with us and other patrons. For only being open about a month or so, they have done a fantastic job with remodeling the pub in design and atmosphere. I have high hopes for this place and absolutely cannot wait to go there again!
