The Springfield Inn no longer exists. It was razed in December of 2013.

This is where you go if you don’t even know what Unilocal is and collect social security. It’s for old timers. Not my style. The place has the smell of once allowed smoking in the air. No thanks! Their Food is forgettable.

My aunt and I went there for lunch. Their website says breakfast is served all day so we went to get some late breakfast, namely Cream Chipped Beef. When we go there we noticed the parking lot was pretty empty. Only two other cars there. It’s not handicap friendly so my aunt had a hard time going up the ‘inside’ stairs that we didn’t know where there. We were seated right away and the waitress was friendly. That’s where the good part ends. It smelled like a dirty funeral home in there. And everyone was at least 20 years older than me except the waitress. We looked at the menu and noticed there was no breakfast. I asked the waitress about the Cream Chipped Beef and she said she thought they could make it for my aunt. I opted for the Raviolis. Well about 15 minutes later the waitress brought me a salad with bottle Ranch dressing and dried looking cucumber. I ate it because frankly, I was beyond hungry at that point and needed to eat something. Our entrees were served about 15 minutes after that. My Aunt’s Creamed Chipped Beef was over cooked and really thick. She didn’t enjoy it at all. My Ravioli’s were obviously frozen and every one of them had the edges broken off. The sauce(cause it wasn’t Gravy) was bland. They served me 5 Ravioli for $ 7.25. That’s $ 1.45 a Ravioli. For frozen, broken bland ravioli’s. I complained about it and I was informed that the Dinner serving costs more and they only serve 6. My salt shaker was clogged. Never a good sign. This place could use a visit from Chef Ramsay. I read that it’s closing in August. That doesn’t surprise me in the least. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I wound up here b/c they have a very cheap banquet menu and I was thinking of hosting a baby shower here. I guess you get what you pay for b/c it was awful from the moment you walked in. Honestly, for a few thousand dollars they could spruce up the décor and it probably would have been better just from that first impression. I found things dirty and out dated. We braved it through lunch though and that is why I’m giving it two stars instead of one. The food was OK. Nothing special but not the worst ever.

At one time this may have been a good place to eat.

I came here yesterday with my family as part of a funeral luncheon. It was horrible. Ten minutes to get drinks, 35 minutes until they took orders for anyone. I had to ask 3 and 4 times for things like butter and drink refills. The one waitress was dippy the other one was rude throwing down our plates and shooting nasty looks. I will never be back again, and even the 50+ people with agree we won’t be back and will be telling our friends. This place made a sad day even sadder.

My first experience with this place was driving by during the Sunday after-church hour and seeing two ladies in their church outfits totally having a brawl outside. Classic. But anyway. Was told by a friend that they serve up a decent breakfast, but being that I am extremely picky about breakfast, I was still wary. And I was right, I wouldn’t go back. Nothing was bad per se, it’s just that I could make better breakfast food at home.(Or at least, the husband could.) Also. Even though it’s casual, diner-y type fare and we were there for breakfast, I totally felt underdressed. The hostess was allllll fancified.

Caters to the blue haired crowd. Very Lounge-y feeling, like walking into your Grand-mom’s house. Service was slow on a weekday for breakfast when we were one of about 3 total tables. Food was fine– nothing special. It just isn’t for younger people.
