I have been working the guys for about two years now and they are attentive to the needs of the communities that they service (and I manage) along with providing any needed bids within reasonable time frames.

Steve and his staff at Westwind did a outstanding job at our residence located in the Mt Helix area. He not only designed the most gorgous entire property landscaping oasis but made it come to life with his above average creative vision. His staff was extremely professional and polite during the lengthy process of removing 30 years of dead unkept bushes and plants. The we’re very thorough in their clean up each day as they mythically created the most amazing low maintenance paradise I have ever seen transfomed. The old sprinkler system was replaced by new state of the art no maintenance system along with an in ground drip fertilizing system to help ensure our tropical oasis in the back around our pool and the colorful flowers and trees in the front yard along stay healthy and delightful to view each day. He also added a small area of artificial grass to enhance the colors of the yard
Steve, the owner, is the most hands on owner operator I have ever experience d. He was there each morning at 6:30 am to gret his team aND five instructions, followed up throughout the day and was often there well past this team. The pride of his workmanship shined throughout the eight week project.

Since the city stopped trimming the parkway palms in Kensington, we’ve had to take care of this ourselves for the past bunch of years. Some neighbors just have unlicensed guys climb their palms which can damage the trunk, so we wanted to find someone who was licensed, insured, and had a boom/​bucket truck or cherry picker. I found Westwind on craigslist of all places and they came out and did an awesome job at a fair price. Thanks, Matt and Westwind … I’m sure we’ll be using you again in the future!

Westwind performed our major yard landscaping project during the summer of 2008. It was a considerable effort, and we solicited a number of bids. We initially selected contractors based on their Better Business Bureau rating and history. The other contractors we sought bids from either said «tell us what you want and we’ll bid on that individual piece» (without any comprehension or creativity about the total project) or «here’s our vision for what you want» and they were actually unpleasant when we didn’t immediately embrace their specific vision.
What sold us from the start was Westwind’s capacity to bring creativity and practicality to the task and to be able to envision and draft plans on the entire project. We had basic ideas what we wanted. They met our desires while finding numerous ways to improve on them and to cut costs while producing an even better final work product.

The staff were totally professional and efficient and kept us up to date on each stage of the project. We came in within budget and the final results were stunning.

We chose Westwind after reviewing MANY quotes from landscapers and contractors for months. Their price for the work was competitive, their ideas were great, and I had a recommendation from a recent project. They were described to us as an honest, family-​owned company — and that was our experience.
Our project included drainage, irrigation, cement, a wood portico, walkways, planter beds and sod.
They finished ON TIME and ON BUDGET. Their crew was clean cut, considerate and worked quickly. They had a lot of experience on their team and it showed.
Everything was tested with the recent rains (record breaking) and we are happy to say the drains worked beautifully and everything still looks amazing!
