Very pleasantly surprised! Our friend chose this restaurant and we didn’t know what to expect. It was fantastic! We’ve been all over the island in the last few days and the service has been awful everywhere but here.
The margaritas were great, the food was good and the service was outstanding. We had a party of 22… some of which were very demanding. Our server was fast, friendly, accurate and responsive. We highly recommend Parrot Eyes!

Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Buffalo wings as an appetizer was good decision. I had a bacon swiss burger & fries. Burger was good, not great. Fries were not impressive. My wife had the shrimp alfredo and said it was very good. Will visit again in the future.

Great Service provided by attentive staff. Try the Fajita Nachos! The pre mixed frozen margaritas are a bit weak. Go for the real thing first! Make sure to say hello to the parrot when you visit. Are you next trip guys!

This was our first time and we would go back. We sat on deck. I had the club sandwich. It was pretty good… could have had a little more flavor.
Prices were reasonable.
Service was good
We will be back to try other items.

Thoroughly enjoyed this place! David made sure our drinks never ran dry. The bacon wrapped shrimp and the salad with hot wings was excellent as well. The tables were full but the place was not claustrophobic. Loved the laid back casual atmosphere. We couldn’t get a good view of the water but that didn’t matter.

Food was very good. GF had Parrot Eyes Salad and I had the Fettuccine Alfredo. Food came out hot and very fast. We sat on the balcony and the view (including the ladies in the two piece bikinis) was very enjoyable. Nice place to go, have a good meal and just relax. Our Server was Luis and he did a very good job, even with only 1 ½ hands (one hand had been cut up by some oysters). Overall, we’ll done Parrot Eyes!!!

My party came at an off-​peak lunch time and were immediately seated. However, it was at least ten minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. When we asked for a split check, the waiter refused, even when we split to separate tables. He said he’d have to get us a different waiter and walked off. He not only lost the automatic 18% gratuity, but he lost the restaurant our business entirely. There was no reason for him not to provide that simple service, especially at the cost of probably a $ 150 table.

Made reservations for a Banana Boat Ride for 5 adults and 2 kids. They said great they is just the right amount. Got there at noon, the time of our reservations and stood around for 45 minutes. They took us out and turned around for rain after two minutes. We decided to eat something while we were waiting, the service was horrible, the shrimp Poboy was inedible, the ceviche was great. After reloading the boat some parrot head said we couldn’t take 7 people. One would have to sit out and ride in a boat. This guy was so arrogant, and not concerned about his customers. We were fine with holding one back on the boat, but when I went back up to get my keys for a camera to take pictures he got rude about the situation and said he didn’t want to hear it. Horrible experience, definitely a bad play on «Paradise».

Came here for a quick lunch after we had been at the beach all day. There are parrots on the outdoor patio, which was really great and fun to watch. The only downside of this is if you sit anywhere in the vicinity of the cage you can smell it. Also the bay outside is a dock for a lot of boats so it smells pretty fishy. The staff was really nice and helpful, very attentive. My husband and I both got cheddar burgers, I only ate half, as the patty was very rubbery and actually pretty soggy and gross. Fries were alright. Any one can come up from the dock so we saw it all– drunks, teenagers with potty mouths, and then normal patrons interested in the water sports aspect of the business. Wouldn’t recommend for the food. Maybe the water sports rentals and services are better.

This is definitely not fine dining, but the views are amazing and the oysters delicious. They have oysters for fifty cents; the price is great and they are served cold and fresh. Their ceviche is also delicious – it is tangy and great with lime. We also shared a fish basket. The fried fish was delicious! Our server was nice. We will be back!

Have visited South Padre Island for years and, this use to be a good place to stop for a bite to eat and dome good Cadillac margaritas.
Wanted to return tonight for a few margaritas and some dinner, but was met with some rude severs. Online it says resturant closes at 10 PM. Called at 8:30 PM and there was no answer to the phone.
Drove over and two waitresses snickered saying they were closed. It was only 9:10 PM. They lost some business tonight but I found a great place down the road called Blackbeards. My advice? Keep driving past this resturant. There are better places that want your business.

Food was limited on seafood options for being on a beach but hey it’s a Mexican restaurant I let it slide. The parrots are cute and the queso mixed with salsa was ok. Umm worst part, had a fly in my drink, waitress messed up my sisters fajita order, brought out chicken instead of steak then proceeded to make her feel bad for her error, mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box just like grandma made and the shrimp tacos were smothered in mayo. Blaahhhhh gross. Never coming back.
