Just returned from a weekend at the GVII and it was a mixed experience with the property even though we had a great time. Listing said free WIFI which was a lie. Sorry PIRentals.Com but you really need to watch what you put online if it’s not true or I will dispute the cc charge to compensate for the fact that I can’t watch Netflix even though I am paying to stay at the beach and in reality have no business being on my tablet. A TV was listed as being in the bedroom but was not. The condo was sparsely furnished with old $ 1 pictures on the wall and busted up tables. not exactly inviting. Also, these are condos and not hotel rooms per se so don’t expect any maid service or even more than ONEROLL of toilet paper… They don’t stock the room in a way that makes you believe for a minute that they don’t want to put you out to have to go shop for supplies and even make you drive a mile for towel exchange which can only take place between 11am and 3pm even though the main office is open 24⁄7. wow. and here’s the best part. not only do you have to take out your own trash as part of the«check out» procedure, but instructions even include a directive to load the dishwasher for the after-check-out cleaning crew. seriously? Charge for room includes a $ 61 fee for the clean up, so guess what? If I’m paying for it, I’m going to leave the place a mess because that’s reality. I’m not on vacation to do you jobs for you, bro. I’m on vacation to leave a wake of destruction as part of an alcohol fueled mental breakdown. See the conflict? Also fun and memorable were the rusted and obviously stolen grocery carts scattered around the property there for taking your stuff up to the condo. We’ll never forget the convenience those stolen rusty carts provided. Now for the good: the pool and hot tub were great and grills are plentiful in the pool area for outside cooking. really a nice part of the property. Also located right next to Schlitterbahn and even on a holiday weekend, price for the rental was half that of Schiltterbahn Beach Resort next door. Parking is right outside so you can look out the balcony and keep an eye on your car or motorcycle. We had a 4 star time while we stayed, but I am only giving 3 stars due to the ineptness of the people who listed this property with false information then made to effort to discount for the inconvenience despite sending a maintenance guy up with a tv for the bedroom well after it became a moot point.

My wife and our kids 12 and 9 stayed here three days and had a great time. The rooms were clean, the kitchen was stocked with dishes and cookware, the heated pool was huge and had two jacuzzis, and the management was very helpful in answering all our questions. The condo was also walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants and the beach. South padre beach itself was amazing. Warm, clean, and inviting it was fun playing in the sand and wading in the water. We swam until night time and had lunch and dinner at the restaurant on the beach. The only negative my wife would have to say is that the wifi connection was very bad when you are inside the condo room. Standing outside it was fine. We would recommend this place if you don’t mind weak wifi.

Renter Beware: As a Military Vet and a Federal Employee it is in my nature to respect the places I stay and leave them as I found them. It really upset me to be accused of illegal activities and for my money to be withheld for really no legitimate reason. What was supposed to have been an inexpensive 4th of July weekend ended up costing an extra $ 70 a night with dirty linens, filthy air filter and foul smelling room, plain and simple we were hustled. Please be very careful when booking with the Gulfview One Condominiums. Bottom line: Kept deposit Foul smelling room Dirty linens Filthy Air Filter Rude customer service Staff not knowable about information advertised on website(could not help with bus schedules) Cleaning fee(but you had to clean your own room) Please read below for details: Booking: It was difficult to reach someone at the Gulfview One Condominiums to make a reservation; I had to call many times. Cammy booked my room and said she will send me an email confirmation. Never receiving a conformation, I had to follow-up to ensure the room was booked. Stay: When arriving the room reeked of old mildew carpet, upon further inspection of the room, the blankets and shames were dirty, the air filter was filthy and there were no sheets for the pullout sofa. The office was closed and there was no designated POC to contact after hours to fix these problems. Deposit: I was told to wait about a week for my deposit. I waited 12 days and still did not receive a refund so I called the office for status, no one answered so I sent an email. I was outraged with the response I received from the property manager, Laura C, «the damage deposit of $ 100.00 was lost due to strong smell of a illegal substance(marihuana) and a burned plastic lamp.» First thing is I was not notified that they were going to keep my deposit, second, is that I do not do drugs nor did anyone in my party do drugs and the lamp was not burnt when I checked out. I called Laura C. to get this problem fixed and she was very rude and insisted that someone in my party did drugs. After arguing with her I asked to speak with someone above her, she said there was no one else above her that I could speak to and she hung up the phone. My deposit was never returned. Positives: Although, the negatives outweigh the positives here is the list of positives. Grills at the pool Pool with adult only jacuzzi and separate family jacuzzi A short walk to the beach(far from north end of island) Friendly guests Decent size room(TV’s were outdated)
