Only check in here if you’re interested in paying outrageous prices for a motel 6-​quality room. The guy with the golden G-​shock watch, who I presume was the assistant manager, made my party wait 15 minutes for him to finish a personal phone call while we were at the front desk.
Next, he slapped a a wristband fee of $ 20 per person (not payable with card, only cash), forcing you to use their ATM that has a $ 5 withdrawal fee.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, when we made it into our room, our futon was broken and unusable. We told the front desk about it, and that ended in the man saying «Yeah, it’s definitely broken. Thanks for letting me know.»
After raising some hell, they came in with nylon rope in attempt to Jerry-​rig the bed. After raising even more hell, they decided to bring us a new bed (something that should have been done in the first place).
All in all, these guys know when they get their spring breakers, and they’ll do their best to take as much money while treating you as horrible as possible. I highly recommend avoiding this place, especially when it comes to spring break.
The toilet, shower, and sink actually worked, and there was a 50-​channel tube TV, so I’ll give the place a ¹⁄₅ for that.

When we arrived the front desk was very friendly so I had hoped it might be a pleasant stay. I was very wrong. Our room was filthy. There was hair on all of our towels. The bedding had not been washed, we itched all night. They apparently don’t have a noise policy, and other guests partied and blasted music well past 3 a.m. The «free breakfast» in the morning was coffee and waffles. Everything in the room is outdated, you are not accommodated with shampoo or soap, I seriously cannot believe that management allows this to go on. We will never stay at this hotel again.

I called 3 days ahead. My AMX card would not work. I called AMX, all was good. They charged my Visa to hold it. They actually debited my Visa… Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I told them them the AMX card was Good. …I’m sorry sir, but it won’t go through. When I arrived. …the AMX (Platinum!!!) Would
Not work… triple Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr… I told them… again the card was good. The Assistant Mgr. Came and again tried to run it. By this time 3 more customers were behind me. I raised my voice over his explanations… SIR, MY CARD IS GOOD. YOUR SYSTEM IS BROKEN. What they could have done… simply call the 800 # on the card reader!!! But… they didn’t.
The room was large n OK. Kinda a cheap firm bed… but tolerable. THE MOLD, REPEAT, MOLD UNDER THE FRIG AND ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF IT ON THE CARPET… was…the icing on the cake. I won’t be back.

I checked into this place at 2 am, it took 30 minutes to get service. The room looked like it hadn’t been touched in years. The beds weren’t made and sheets were old as if the room was never cleaned out. We were exhausted so decided to stay, as I pulled one of the sheets I noticed there was bed bugs everywhere! I called the guy at the front desk & he didn’t care much he replied with «so you want another room», seriously? I asked for my money back. The bathrooms were disgusting and there was only 2 towels. We got out of there ASAP. 10 minutes later I get a call from the guy stating that all the towels were supposedly missing & he was going to contact the police and charge us $ 30 for each towel! Are you kidding me! I insisted that I didn’t take any of his disgusting towels and we argued for a good 5 minutes he then got mad and said «fine» and hung up. He knew he was wrong and he was lying and he knew what he was doing. Thankfully I paid cash and wasn’t scammed! Avoid this place! Horrible. And way over priced!

This place was a dump.

Stayed here on my visit to South Padre Island. Price was good (69.99 a night) for a two queen room. Nice rooms and spacious bathrooms. The back door of the rooms leads to the pool area which I thought was cool and the manager let us use the pool all night. Will consider this place next time I’m at SPI.
