The Happy Hour they have there is great. Loved the Basil Martini and the discounted food options. The service needed help but there was only one server who was fabulous and the restaurant was full. My new favorite Thai place near me.

Which Thai restaurants do Thai people go to? ZapVerr. If you are looking for authentic Thai foods, this is a place for you go to. Why? Read my first sentence again! I have heard a lot of good reviews from my Thai friends and family for a long time about this place, until I finally got a chance to try it out myself on my birthday. I had a party of around 30 people coming to eat here at 9 pm. Yes, 9 pm. This place opens until 2AM because it has full bar and Karaōke bar, too. Since I spent like 3 hours at this place, I should give reviews in bullets, so it’s easier to read. 1) Foods, I love everything. My table was doing family style so we ordered 9 things for 8 people. I was lucky enough to have the owners themselves helping me out with what I should order! The pork on Skewers„ taste just like Thailand; authentic street foods that I was eating since kinder garden. The Mixed appetizers plate was standard; it is kinda similar to other Thai places around Seattle. The 7 entrees: Larb Gai, Crab Pad Tai, Thai BBQ chicken, Shrimps with bean thread noodles, Duck Curry, some kinda fish place(I even forgot what’s it called, because I just let them order for me…) and Nam-Kaw-Tod(a Very traditional northern Thai Foods). I really like all of them, especially the last one Nam-Kaw-Tod, the Crab Pad Tai, the fish plate and the pork on skewers. Those are my top favorites and I can’t wait to go back there and eat them again. Though, there are much more things I need to order, too! Everyone else finished all their foods so that means everything was good, right? 2) Environment. The restaurant was beautifully designed. It’s a modern/traditional Thai design that give you different feelings depending on where you sit and what time you go. I went at night time so it was more like a bar than a restaurant. The light was dimmed, but not too dark to see stuff. However, it was too dark for pictures … The only good picture I got was probably by the front of the restaurant. The karaōke bar was kinda fun, but you need to be more drunks to enjoy it, unless you’re a natural professional singer… 3) Service, I don’t know about you guys, but I got amazing service! Drinks were being refilled, foods got served fast, and we got checked on multiple times on how was everything. 4) Price, I say it’s in moderate level($ 10-$ 20). But hey, it’s locating in Fremont… and the foods were amazing! 5) Parking. Goodluck. Fremont street parking lol. My friend drove me there so I didn’t have to deal with it. Overall, if only I don’t live too far, I would be a regularly here. Love the foods, the service and the whole restaurant feeling. Ps. Happy Hours starts at 10:30 pm! And gratuity included for big party.

This is the best Thai food in Fremont. We would recommend it to anyone. Every dish we have had here has been exceptional. Try the red or panang curry, the mama pad, and heavenly coriander. The service is great, too.

Their pad see ew is the best I’ve eaten. Décor is a little strange and corporate-feeling for my taste, but I think I get what they’re going for.

Ray: When Josh and I tied in that we were getting together as planned last Thursday, he suggested Thai food for dinner. Specifically this place in Freemont called ZapVerr. I love Thai food, so was down with the plan. ZappVerr looks very elegant from the outside and even more so inside. The interior is this eclectic, hard to define but beautiful expereince. Kind of a retro meets modern art, as odd as that might seem. Leave it to say it was stunning. As we walked in, there were no signs as to seating, that is to wait or just be seated. We were instantly approached by two employees at the same moment. We were seated in the dining room and were informed that the entire staff is one team, so if we needed anything at all, just ask anybody and it will be taken care of. That, dear readers, is the definition of customer service. The beautiful surroundings convinced me that the prices were going to be pretty high. I was pleasantly surprised to see that thus was not the case. I ordered a Manny’s Ale then started looking over the extensive menu. I finally decided on the Sunny Delight, a combination of beef, pork, chicken, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, onions and a delicious chili sauce. The very cute waitress, who spoke quite broken English took out orders. The meal took a little longer that most Thai places, but it was so worth the wait. The food was wonderfully plated and stunningly aromatic. I dug right in and was delighted with the flavors. The sweet and bitter flavor combinations swirled around my senses with this hint of fennel topping it all off. I am comfortable saying it was the best Thai food I have ever eaten. ZappVerr is really quite the place. Visually stunning inside and out, world class customer service, beautiful plating and flavors that you will remember for a long time. I award ZappVerr a full and confident 5 stars. Go there. Aloha. Josh: I’m not huge on Thai food. I wouldn’t necessarily say I actively avoid it, but I don’t find myself craving it. I’ve been to ZapVerr once before and had a strongly positive experience, but didn’t return until last Thursday for the weekly meet up with my pops. They certainly deserve to have a review posted. Easily viewable from the street, especially in the busy main drag through Fremont, the place is almost menacing in it’s black-and-red. The interior reminds me of a cross between something Las Vegas-y and something slightly science fiction-y. The waiting area sits within 3 or 4 big circles adorned with lights and patterns. It looks like a still photo of someone swinging a flaming baton in the dark. It’s very, very unique. We had no wait though, as usual for our early dining time, and were seated immediately. It looks like the kind of place that I could never afford to go to. But when we opened up the menu, the realization struck that this is actually quite affordable. Most of the dishes are around $ 11 or so, and there is tons of options. I opted for the Sunny Delight(#64) because it had chicken, pork, AND beef, and I was in the mood for all three. The wait was relatively short and the dishes were presented. Everything looked really damn good, and tasted even better. I got a «3 star» for spiciness and they really nailed it. The service was friendly all the way through. I can definitely recommend ZapVerr if you’re looking to have an impressive experience for not a lot of cash. Easy 5 stars.

There are times in life when the best things that happen… Happen when you had no plans beforehand. I was visiting from out of town and walked from SPU campus in an attempt to find a place to grub down on a Friday night. We crossed the bridge and saw a few places to eat right away. My mind was set on Thai, but we’d already passed a Thai place and I said screw it. But this… This was destiny. On the outside, it seemed like a stereotypical hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant. Starting out strong, they had the menu fully displayed outside of the restaurant. This is a good tool to use, because some upscale places can burn a hole straight through your wallet if you don’t know how much it costs before you sit down. This was a definite plus, and got us off to a good start. We swung open the doors and holy smokes. It was not what we were expecting at all. There have been times where I walked into a restaurant and felt like I was severely underdressed, this was teetering on the border, but this place is definitely casual friendly(a group with small children came in, so if they weren’t underdressed, I was confident I wasn’t… I hope). The music was not too loud, and the overall aesthetic appeal of the interior was, quite frankly, mesmerizing. Outstanding architectural decisions. Now, onto the important matters at hand. The food came out fast, and the water refills were on tap the whole time. There are fewer things worse than eating a catastrophically spicy plate of Thai chicken and being left to die at your table because you drank all your water 15 minutes ago. Thankfully, this was not the case here. The Garlic Chicken was cooked to perfection; an immaculate example of knowing the perfect way to bring forth the kind of chicken I love to eat. I even got it with brown rice, which appeared either dark red or purple, but I could be color blind. I highly recommend it. Happy hour is 3−6pm weekdays(even though that’s 3 hours). In short, this Thai restaurant was literally good.

A few friends & I were in the mood for Thai and came here on a Sunday evening, wasnt busy at all and got seated immediately. Very nice looking inside, great ambiance, modern, cool entry way design«rings», nice lighting, comfy seating area and quite fancy looking. We ordered a boatload of stuff to share among us as we were pretty hungry from doing nothing all day. Started off with a Tom Kha soup, comes out in a nicely with a burner on the bottom to keep your soup still hot while eating. Tasty soup with coconut, that sweet & spicy, citrus-y taste with plenty of chicken, mushrooms and a few other veggies. Perfect soup for a chilly night! As for our mains and since this is my first time here, I decided to get my gateway dish of Pad See Ewe w/beef. Oh man, that was good! Just the way I like it! There’s something about tasting that wok flavor in the noodles, not burnt but you know what I mean. Good amount of wide rice noodles with flavorful beef and delicious chinese broccoli. Everyone enjoyed this dish so much! We also ordered Three Flavor Chicken… wooohoo! I think its wok fried chicken pieces with their 3 flavor sauce(no clue what it is), peppers and plenty of fried basil pieces. This was also very good, nice and spicy, very flavorful and a big hit as well. Lastly, we ordered the Pineapple Prawn Curry. It’s a red curry, so if you like some spice, this is a good one to get. This was pretty good too, had a good amount of shrimp, tasty curry sauce to put over your rice. We enjoyed our meal very much, left very full and satisfied. One of us has never had Thai food before and she loved it and kept raving about it afterwards and wanting to come back more & more. Watch out ZapVerr… crazy lady is coming! :) Service was fine, pricing was good, location is centrally located in Fremont and right on the bus lines. Definitely a spot I am coming back to!

This past summer, my girlfriend hosted my graduation party at ZapVerr and we all had an excellent time. We reserved a section of ZapVerr for a group of 30 and met with Anthony(manager) in advance to try the food and to talk about logistics. Anthony was knowledgeable and has experience planning large group parties in the past. We went with his recommendations had planned the menu ahead of time, the planning was painless. Our party had a corner section of the restaurant reserved which was ideal for the party. Food: 5⁄5 I’m Asian so I know a thing or two about Thai food since I’ve been eating it my whole life. The food itself is top notch compared to my past experiences. Everyone in my party thought the food was delicious. Ambiance: 5⁄5 ZapVerr isn’t your traditional«mom&pop» restaurant. The restaurant has a lounge feel to it and was modern and trendy. For a celebratory type of a event, I thought the ambiance was perfect. Service: 5⁄5 Being the new graduate, I arrived later than my guests. When I had guests who arrived early, the waiters started to bring out the appetizers which we had selected in advance. Also, they were aware to start the drinks flowing as well. I was happy about t his since I didn’t want my guests twiddling their thumbs while waiting for me to get there. Value: 5⁄5 The total bill at the end was MORE than reasonable. Our group left happy and full, there was even a lot of leftovers that could probably feed another 5 people. We were initially considering hosting party at one of those fancy restaurants in downtown Seattle, however, the price was more than what I could swallow.

I got the Panang curry and fresh rolls to go via Eat24 app. Portion size was way to small for the price, especially compared with other area Thai restaurants. I ordered the curry at the highest spice level, as I like my food super spicy, and the curry had zero spiciness. It wasn’t even an Americanized spice level — there was none. My friend had a similar experience with the spice level. Fresh rolls were okay, but again mini sized. Overall, go elsewhere — while it didn’t taste bad, the portion as I said was too small and way overpriced. There are many other way more authentic places in Seattle to spend your money at and get a better meal. I would never go here again.

I win the reward for making the right choice and of course it was after reading Unilocal and choosing the highly voted crispy garlic chicken and you know I’ll take that to go please! This chicken is hard to make and they have brought it to perfection. We got pad Tai which smelling and tasted delicious. Padsecwe Grilled shrimp with asparagus was quoted as «mind-blowingly orgasmic» otherwise knowing as asparagus prawns. The grilled pork balls was joke of the table which got a little dirty. Haha. On the healthier side we got the Tom kkah tai soup which was not my style. If you enjoy coconut milk soup then you’ll like it. I didn’t find it tasty, but that doesn’t matter because the whole table loved it. Blanket prongs and fresh Rolls with tofu were a good starter. The plum sauce was better than the peanut sauce, I even ordered a second one. The waiter understood my non English English and spoke my Russian. Very well done.

Great garlic chicken! Most of the other food I’ve tried has been very tasty. It’s even called tasty beef. The spring rolls and fresh rolls aren’t extremely exciting, but I can’t recall a place that’s had some that will blow your mind.

A few months ago, we were shocked at how much the waiter did NOT listen to us. We came in. We took our jackets off, we asked for water. That took some time to arrive. There was only 1 other person in the restaurant. The waiter did not listen. We ordered to EATIN. We were also specific about what we wanted to eat. We were so excited. It was our first time eating here. Too bad … The young man brought our food in TOGO brown bags. We were shocked and told him that was NOT what we asked for. Further, we asked specifically for seasonings and little extra fish sauce & chili paste. That was missing. We left. One of the waiters ran after us and asked if we paid. I replied«We ate nothing so we don’t need to pay.» We won’t go here again. We will recommend NONE of our friends to go here.

Takeout review. I’ve eaten here before and dined at the restaurant. That experience was really good. Would say a 4.5 star. Amazing food. Great décor. Decent service. However, I got take out the other day and I was just appalled by the difference in quality. Like legit I thought I ordered from the wrong place. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ewe were horrible. No flavor, noodles all stuck together, no sauce, not that great portions. Really really disappointed by the take out. Never getting take out here again. Rather go to Djanns where the quality is the same for dining in and taking out.

Easily one of the three top Thai places I’ve been. And I’ve hit a few in my time. The service was quick, friendly, and very attentive. I gave only 4 stars because it’s my first time here and I’d like to taste more. I think a time or two back here will yield a solid 5 in no time. The«Golden Noodle» and«Pineapple Fried Rice» are worth the stop here alone. I’m looking forward to coming back and really sinking my teeth into more items on the menu. They have great looking stuff!

Highly recommend eating there, food tastes so much better! Kow Soi was awesome, thick coconut broth with thin egg noodle. Pad Thai and Crab pad Thai were much better eat in thAn take out. Yum, lots of crab meat and fried soft shell crab. Tom Kah soup: yum yum yum!!! E-sarn sausage: rice and pork fat in the casing, pretty delicious. Thai papaya salad with salted egg: all favors worked harmoniously together, so good. Laotian papaya salad with pickled crab: too much fish sauce for my taste, but it’s pretty authentic. Service is very good, they pay attention to details and recommended something else to avoid repeat orders.

I really wish we were able to enjoy our food from ZapVerr. It was well flavored and appropriately made. But it was delivered to us cold. Which made sense after it took almost 1 hour and 45 minutes to be delivered. When we contacted the restaurant over an hour into our wait they told us the food was ready and would be delivered within 15 minutes. I live 7 blocks away and it still took a half hour. It was a pretty pricey meal for the portions, but since the flavors were good I will probably try their happy hour at some point. Just avoid delivery at all costs.

I’ve seen this place pop-up somewhat recently in Fremont and never tried it until now. I was having a pad thai craving and decided to try a new Thai place, after previously trying only Thai Tom and another Thai place(who’s name I don’t quite remember). To be honest, I was expecting some kind of half-baked Thai food that tasted somewhat okay since the décor made me feel like it catered to yuppies. All the places that I’ve been to so far that have catered to yuppies have been pretty in décor, pricey in everything, and not that great. However, everything I ordered was great. The pad thai I ordered was wonderful. It was not oily at all, tasted great, and a massive portion. I had to take some of it home. Their thai tea was on point too. The mango sundae I got for dessert was a good way to end the night. It had 2 scoops of thai tea ice cream, one scoop of coconut ice cream, and fresh mangos, with 2 chocolate eggroll cookies for decoration. I’ve had problems with Thai places using too much spice(not talking about spiciness here, but more of spices) and oil and giving me an upset stomach after, but ZapVerr didn’t which is a HUGE plus in my book. Overall, service was great, food was great, and the general ambience was awesome too. You have a returning customer that will definitely be back :)

Hello new favorite place! Thanks for bringing all my isan/esaan favorites to Seattle! Zapverr made me happy! They have all the northern classics plus traditional Thai dishes. The place is set up like a lounge/club type. I like the dark atmosphere with all the bright lights. It’s casual yet upscale. Ambiance– beautiful Service — attentive Food– spot on! It took us about 10 minutes to decide what to order because of the varieties they have on the menu. But once you break it down, it’s pretty simple. They have esaan style street food like meat skewers, sausages, nam priks and such. If you’ve been to Chiang Mai or are familiar with the cuisine, you know can pretty much get these dishes all over Chiang Mai. I’ve had them on the streets of Chiang Mai and it was a love at first bite. The spice, the freshness, the taste of that little extra lime, peppers, charredness: totally made my tastebuds sing! Food ***Grilled pork skewers with chilli lime sauce– delish! Juicy, soft, charred, melts in your mouth. Serve with chilli lime sauce. Tasty! *** Esaan sausage: tasty. Serve with fresh peppers, cabbage, lettuce, peanuts and like pieces. You can wrap them(fixins) all in one or enjoy it by itself. ** Kai nok kra na nok – Quail eggs!!! Zomg quail eggs grilled in this little pan. This was my Obsession in Thailand! Mainly because it’s like the cheapest street food but with the coolest way to make. You get to see the ladies crack a few dozen quail eggs into this massive pan with little cubes in it. 1 mins later— viola! You get a dozen grilled quail eggs for $ 1! They were magic!!! Now zapverr has it $ 9 for 6 I believe. Not as cheap or cool as you would in Bangkok or but I still appreciate finding this item on the menu. Totally! ** larb gai — I’m obsessed with Thai salads. This is one of them. We got their larb with chicken. Nice and spicy! ***Nam prik– spicy fish paste with all the fixins and BBQ pork. Great spice kick to eat with drinks. And very local to Chiang Mai. **Som tom poo pla? They have a whole page of papaya salads for you to choose from. I went with the crab! Yummm. **Tom kha– house special soup with shrimp. This was good but much smaller for what you pay. And a little too strong for my taste buds. Too much salt/fish sauce maybe. **Steamed tilapia — this was good! Could use a little more lime. We also had this dish with raw shrimps and chilli sauce on top. Try it if you feel adventurous. I like it! Overall, I had all the dishes I would have in Thailand. And they were all spot on! I skipped rice and noodles but they all look pretty good. Portions might be on a little smaller side but I had so much left overs as well. Prices are around $ 12 – 17 for entrees and $ 8 – 14 for appetizers/salad. It won’t be a cheap meal if you want to try them all! Good flavors, bold flavors, good service and cute atmosphere. I would suggest more lights on the table so you can read the menu but overall, you got my vote Zapverr! Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped by for an early dinner today, and was really happy with what I saw(and tasted)! I like what they’ve done with the space. I loved Tawon Thai’s beef salad, but the new restaurant seems more… alive. I wasn’t in the mood for a cocktail or a beer(even though my friend’s cocktail did look good), so I ordered a glass of their Rose. I can’t describe it in detail, but do know that I enjoyed sipping it and felt quite tipsy for the next couple of hours. We decided to get a few dishes to share, and ended up choosing the: fresh rolls(shrimp), pork skewers, beef salad, and mango with sticky rice. Everything was delicious! Next time I hope to also try the squid salad. I didn’t get a chance to interact with the employees much because I arrived late and didn’t do much of the ordering(rare!), but everyone seemed nice and happy to be there. Looking forward to returning and trying some of their seafood dishes…
