Went on a Wednesday night and the place was busy at 6:45. We were sat at a table by the window on the floor as requested. The table was not clean and left over food was on the floor that my friend had to clean up. Candles were not replaced nor lit on the table. It took 10 minutes for someone to come take our order and all of our cocktails did not arrive at once or before the appetizers did which also came randomly? Our server was obviously busy and as industry people we can empathize with this however when even trying to get his attention for anything else he would walk away before we were finished ordering! To top off the poor service ruining what should have been a great meal all of the food was great except one of our Pad Thai ordered 2 star felt like 6 stars in level of spice. Too hot! Our bill for 4 people was $ 116.00. We left the server $ 20 in Cash or roughly 18%. This due to the fact he gave no where near 20% service. Just now checking the debit card transaction. The server added $ 5 as a tip which we did not. When my boyfriend called the restaurant they said they would refund the money but refused to admit the server added the gratuity on purpose. Highly doubtful. Big bummer as I recommended this place and now will never return. Staff up. Monitor your paperwork and service members. If you patron here double check your bill.

Good food but very busy. The menu and chairs are kinda worn out. The major downside is the lobby/waiting area. When there are lot of people waiting, the people waiting spill into the dining area which is annoying.

This was too spicy. We all got either 2 or 3 stars and the five of us all agreed that our food was too spicy. Order lower than you think you want.

Delightful! Popped in for lunch and has delicious food with great service. We had pad see ew with chicken and pananag curry with tofu. We licked both plates. Service was quick!

Ate dinner here 12/27/15…just happened in wanting some Thai before heading over to the Schilling Cider House. The four of us spilt four dishes, which was actually only enough food for two people. …My wife didn’t even get a chance to try the Garlic Galor because it was so skimpy. Because the serving sizes were only about half that of other Thai restaurants, it made it twice as expensive to eat here! If their product was special I might cut them some slack, but it’s equivalent to hundreds of other average Thai places around Seattle. (If you want GREAT Thai check out Similan Thai Cuisine in Issaquah.) It’s also a bad sign when a proprietor does not respond/rebut on Unilocal to the more negative reviews… tells me they don’t care, have a captive audience and will eventually burn through their customer base We won’t go back.

Their 4 star pad se ew is extremely delicious, not too spicy where you want to cry but just enough to make you sweat. My friend ordered the Kaplau Gai Kai Dao and I would totally recommend that too anyone!

Cute Thai food place. The best dish was the trout salad. The trout is fried to a crispy perfection and the salad on top provides a nice balance. We also ordered Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Both dishes were good, but did not stand out.

Got seated with water and menus and then no one for 10+ minutes. There were about 3 tables seated in the entire restaurant, so obviously not staffed appropriately. We walked. First chance, last chance.

My girlfriend and I tried this place for lunch on November 23 in the mid afternoon. While I am not a Thai food connoisseur, I have fallen in love with this genre of food over the past couple of months. While the Unilocal reviews here are less than stellar, we decided to give this place a try on the recommendation of some people that have had good experiences here. As we walked in, the ambiance of the restaurant was a little off putting. It reminded me of eating in my grandmothers kitchen. The ambiance was definitely a reason for deducting one star. The waitress was very polite and very cheerful. She brought water immediately, and even brought my diet soda pop in a very cute mason jar(I really loved this idea). My girlfriend and I both ordered the phud thai, and we were not impressed with the meal. I ordered a 3 on the spicy level, and was not impressed with the heat. If I went back(which I don’t think I would given the amazing Thai options in Capitol Hill), I would definitely choose a 4. My girlfriend ordered a 2, and said it was not spicy at all. The dish was very sweet, and didn’t resemble what the menu had explained. Lastly, the bathrooms in this place were not well maintained at all. I’m not sure if that is an exception rather than the norm, but I felt a little dirty after leaving the restroom. I would definitely recommend looking for other Thai places in the Capitol Hill area before settling on Jai Thai.

This place is pretty good, a little pricey for what you get but overall a good meal is to be expected. For warning they’re spicy numbers tend to be 1 – 2 higher than other places. Good to know if you can’t handle the heat. I really enjoy the crab wonton app but I don’t suggest taking it to go. The jai Thai noodle and fried rice are really good. Pretty much everything is pretty solid.

Ordered chicken pumpkin rice. Chicken is raw and rice is hard like stone. Would never come back again and kaosamai is much better in the area.

Wow — definitely can say this place is delicious! Solid 3.5 stars. The décor is fun and they even have some traditional«floor seats» near the windows. Food it fairly authentic and man oh man it is tasty. We ordered Tom Kha soup, Pumpkin chicken curry, and Pad Kee Mao. Each item was good… needless to say we ate all of it aside from finishing our soup. Everything was made very well and full of flavor. Prices were average and we saw that they had a bar as well. It was a weekend and it was crowded however we were promptly seated. Service was slow and they initially forgot our soup. Good date spot even though it was quite loud… perhaps not on a Saturday. I would certainly come back though.

Do not order delivery from here. After calling twice and being told the food was on the way, I eventually gave up after two hours. Boo.

Food is fresh, great flavor, nice service, reasonable, cute ambiance, you can sit on the floor by the window and eat.

Pumpkin curry! So good! I’ve heard from a local that they have consistently good Thai food with less than consistent spice levels. Either way, the ability to get a pumpkin curry out of season made this fat kid happy. *They also have traditional floor pillows.

Nice-looking place with good food and just ok service. Only one waitress/hostess/maybe owner on a busy lunch day. She’d come by our table, and then we wouldn’t see her again for a looooong time. We thought the fried rice was excellent and the swimming rama was ok. No beer on the menu, but it looked like there was a bar off to one side. Not sure if they serve alcohol or not. She certainly was not offering any. Bummer. A cold Singha or something North Westy like a Backwoods IPA would have really improved my mood.

I got here before noon on a Friday and even though it was empty when I came it, it was totally full by the time I left. I came here after a jaunt over to Fremont. I was craving massaman curry and decided to give this place a try. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and very well-decorated. The lunch menu is decently priced and quite expansive. I went in for the curry and ordered a Thai iced coffee on the side. The food came out within 10 minutes and it was a perfect lunch-sized portion. Not too big and not too small. The curry itself was underwhelming, though. Firstly, I ordered it medium/3-star spiciness and it wasn’t spicy at all. The curry was too creamy and didn’t have the same depth of flavor that I’d tasted elsewhere. It tasted far too bland and not well seasoned, in addition to not being spicy(hot) enough. There was also very little chicken in the curry. My Thai iced coffee was pretty good though. Service was a bit scant, but I can’t blame the servers themselves– they seemed really understaffed. The restaurant filled up quickly and from what I could tell there were only 2 servers for all of the tables. It took me at least 15 minutes from finishing my meal to get my check. This was far from being the best Thai meal I’ve had in Seattle but if you’re in the neighborhood and dying for Thai, its not a bad option. I just wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.

With so many Thai options in Seattle(and Fremont) you can always bet on Jai Thai for a great meal! I almost always get the Tom Yum Noodle Soup when I come here, it’s fantastic! Outside of the normal Tom Yum soup, this has noodles like in phở and chunks of tofu(the meat that I get) so it’s hearty and filling. The vegetables are fresh, broth is super flavorful(and depending on the # of stars spicy!) and it also comes with a wonton crisp which is just perfect with the broth. One of our frequent lunch spots for our group as we work just around the corner. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait(we usually do lunch around 11:30/12) and the service is always prompt. They also do separate checks. For a fun experience sit in the tables toward the front window — you dine on cushions sitting on the ground!

just OK, nothing fantastic. they have a lot of menu options, spice level is lower than other thai places; 3 stars tastes closer to 1.5−2 stars. came here for lunch, which gets very busy(!) so come early. unfortunately, they were understaffed so what should’ve been a quick thai lunch turned into over 1.5 hours, mostly waiting. they do have sticky mango rice, which my friends loved! fair prices; expect about $ 10 – 11 per chicken/beef dishes. i paid $ 13 for prawn panang curry. and they bring you a nice little salad to start, which was a nice touch. the food was alright. we tried the crispy garlic chicken; it was good, but had too much breading and was over fried. also the panang curry was good, nothing beats thai tom’s! but I’ve had better at comparable thai places. overall it was just alright. food was kind of bland, spice level was low, and the service was sloooooow. I’d probably come back, but maybe not anytime too soon.

Top notch spiciness, I asked for the 5 star and the lady was laughing hahah It was no joke spicy and literally put me on a different level. Any dish that can take me to that level is worth lay recommendation for spicy food enthusiasts. Prices are great and the dishes are large. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Fremont area.
