Came here on a Tuesday night with a group of friends. First of all, I want to say that the ONLY waitress that we there that night was awesome. She had like 6 – 7 tables at once and she was doing her absolute best. I feel so sorry for her. On the other hand the bartender(I think he was also the owner) needs to stop getting smashed and help out a bit. He was just drunk and talking loudly at customers and doing nothing. How about taking some orders? Coming by to add water? Help your poor waitress out! I felt like I was watching an episode of kitchen nightmares in real life. The food was OK. Nothing to write home to Mom about. Food was pretty fast. On a Tuesday, they put on clubby music which I thoroughly enjoyed! However, we didn’t come to a club, we came for food and to talk to friends so maybe taking the music down a notch would have been more appropriate!

Wings were pretty small is my only complaint, it was a slow day but service was good.

I came on a non-gameday but the service was still mediocre. The wings were all pretty good, but it took north of 40 minutes for it to come to our table. Overall, there aren’t that many good wing places around uw so it’s up to you if you’re willing to sit through the wait

Beer, fried food, what else do you want? Wing Central isn’t my go-to place for dinner, but it satisfies the occasional wing craving and is perfect for a late night snack or drink with a group of friends. There are an abundance of TVs as well as a huge projector so coming to watch the game(whatever that might be, during any season really) is a blast.

This place was awful. I’ve been here numerous times and it has gradually gotten worse. It is at an all time low now. PLEASESTAYAWAYFROMTHISRESTAURANT!!! The food was horrible(dry, overcooked, burnt) and the servers were garbage. I had to ask for a water 5 times and still never had it filled up. This place is unbelievably horrible.

I discovered this place summer of 2014 and I came every Tuesday believe it or not for $.59 wings. I of course loved it so much reason being coming here every week. I always ordered the usual: garlic wings and garlic waffle fries. Well school happened and I didn’t have time to come here anymore. Well I came back for the first time tonight with friends and sad to say the quality from last time I was here 3 months ago has got really low. I have had this so much I know what it’s suppose to taste like. Waffle fries didn’t have enough sauce and were overcooked and my wings were very dry and I had to ask for extra sauce which I was charged extra. Heck one of my wings was half a size and considered one of the ten wings I ordered. I was really disappointed about that. Anyway, I know I came in 30 minutes before closing but that isn’t an excuse for poor quality food. Besides, I always came in late over the summer and the food was so much better back then. Step it up guys this place has so much potential

Nothing special. Not quite buffalo wild, but heck I’d only give them 3 stars. Typical sports bar wings and flavors, neither top in quality or palette

If only I could give less than one star. To start, the waitress informs us they are currently out of all pork and beef products as well as boneless wings. The service was absolutely horrendous. Our waitress left us and went outside to smoke standing directly infront of the door. When she took our order she sat down next to me at the table. She continuously butted into our conversation not being afraid to voice her opinions. The bathrooms looked like they had not been cleaned in at least a week. Mold on everything, soap scum on the walls, no paper towels or soap. I would not eat here again if you payed me to.

I’ve come to Wing Central a handful of times since I wrote my last review and each time, my experience has been worse than the last, unfortunately. I’ve realized that the best thing about Wing Central is the drink deals they offer. But I’m not just going to Wing Central to drink. If I was, I would go to another, more ambient bar or restaurant. Every time I’ve gone for wings, they’ve been overcooked and as a result of that, greasy, in a bad way. The only thing that makes them tolerable is the sauces. And beer that is washing it down. The service is slow and unmemorable. Not to mention, the last few times I’ve visited, the place has been a ghost town. Which is strange because you would think a restaurant with this cool wings/beer/sports concept would be a hit in the U-District. I think there are two things that are happening here. The first is that UW students are not stupid and they recognize bad food and poor service when they see it. The second is UW students just aren’t as into wings/beer/sports as they used to be. The latter isn’t Wing Central’s fault but it may be contributing to the business spiraling downhill.

For now, this is my favorite place to watch a husky game with my buddies. The food is very good. The wings are phenomenal(No Smooch’n Garlic is my favorite sauce) and those garlic fries are carbaliciously wonderful. They have an excellent beer list and a solid selection of shots. But the service has been on a steady and noticeable decline for the past year or so. First, the bad: I’ve come here twice for the 2014UW season and the first time for the first game of the year, they cut my friend and I off after two pitchers of beer in the 3rd quarter of the game«for safety reasons». Now, I’m certainly not a belligerent person when I’ve had alcohol and to the best of my knowledge, I was sitting there respectfully watching the husky game and not causing any kind of problem. We weren’t drunk, but we weren’t sober. Occasionally we would yell at the screen when a bad play/call was made, but everyone else in there was doing the same thing. Why did we get cut off? The waitress who helped us was a little odd. She would check on 3 times in 10 minutes and then disappear for an hour. She was very pushy with the check too. She brought the bill to us well before the game was over and then came over and tried to take it away before we had signed it. This happened at least 3 times. Since the game wasn’t anywhere near being over, we weren’t really rushing to sign the checks. It just came off as rude. The second game I came for was for the UW-UO game, which is a huge game that attracts several fans every year. Management HAD to know that it would be busy on this particular Saturday. Unfortunately, there were only 2 servers working the whole restaurant. The food came out quicker than our pitchers. I will be back for a game in the future, but my patience is running a little thin with the strained wait staff. I would hope to see a better server/patron ratio next time or else I might need to find a new bar. Now, the good: The food is really good once you get it. They have a good selection of wing sauces and the fries and pizza are excellent. Definitely some of the best sports bar food around. The beer selection is really great too. 101 beers available and 51 shots to choose from(the touchdown is still the best in my book). They will give you a little card that tracks how many of the 101 beers you’ve had. Once you’ve crossed each of the 101 beers off on your card, you get a «Beer 101» diploma and a t shirt. Very cool. There are several TVs to watch the game and the crowd bleeds purple(except for those two UO dudes who were trying to hit on a couple UW girls and were getting blatantly rejected by them while simultaneously being yelled at to GTFO by two older ladies near us… Awesomely hilarious). It’s a really fun gameday atmosphere. If you can patiently wait for service, this is an excellent place to watch a game with Huskynation. I’m still in board and I will return at least once more and I’m optimistic that the service will improve. I will certainly update this review if it is warranted by future visits!

I don’t understand how the management can possibly think 2 servers to cover the UW-ORE(away) game is adequate. Our poor server was running around non-stop and it still took 30 minutes to put in an order and 20 min to get our beer(longer than the food). It’s a real shame since this is still one of the better places to watch a game.

Wing Central has $ 2 beers on the weekend after 9 pm! How is this place not packed on Saturday nights?!? They have 100 beers on their menu from all over the country. There aren’t even that many bars in Texas selling $ 2 bottles of Shiner Bock. It’s unbelievable that you can get it in Seattle for that cheap. All of the other drinks and shots are really cheap at Wing Central too. My girlfriend and I even looked at our receipt and laughed at how low the prices were after our recent trip to Wing Central. Considering that the food is decent and each booth has its own TV screen, I was baffled that there were only two other customers in the restaurant at the same time as us. Isn’t UW really close by? The wings are okay. They were a bit on the dry side, but the hot sauce(third-degree is what we ordered) was adequately spicy and had some good flavor to it. We had some fries too, and they were just fine. Our service was really good too. We didn’t have to wait long for food or drinks, and our server was friendly. If I went to UW, I’d be here all the time. Cheap drinks, decent food, and plenty of TVs to watch the game. Sounds like the ideal sports bar to me.

Coming into a busy Seahawks game to have wings and relaxing time with a friend, they were packed with the faithful. The room was full and they were turning people away. A kind gentleman offer his table to us. Seemed alittle short staffed and noisy. We were raising our hand to the waitress after she never came by for the first 15min but never received any acknowledgment. When she did finally come by she admonish us for sitting down and putting up our hands. When did raising your hand ever become impolite in today society? To be fair she did return the drinks quickly enough and the wings arrived fast. And she did come back to ask if everything was ok and did a refill. Bad night possibly? Kun fu bbq was good but the rodeo honey is so so. Small drumlettes, 20 wings and 2 cokes. Total damage $ 24.

I ordered the spicy garlic and 2nd degree wings for $ 19.99 takeout. They came with blue cheese dressing. I also ordered the jalapeño poppers. Both types of wings are quite tasty, though I thought the garlic ones were a bit peppery. I think I’d like to try the spicier degree wings next time. While I waited for my order, I watched the World Cup commentary. They have quite a few televisions, including a big projection screen one that takes up nearly an entire wall. Since it was takeout, I didn’t get a lot of service interaction, but what I did have was pleasant. I have a hunch that since this a university area, patrons don’t tip well here. I usually leave a normal tip despite it being takeout, and I could be mistaken, I kind of got the vibe that the waitress was surprised.

Warning: This review has a high percentage of all uppercase letters Service here is always slow, regardless of the waiter. But, there are good waiters and bad waiters. My friends and I have been going here very frequently lately. Sometimes we walk in and give a sigh of relief because we see the competent waiters working. Other times we walk in and see THEE bad waiter… How is she bad? She gets our order wrong EVERYSINGLETIME. Most recently, 90% of the stuff came out, and we were really surprised that it was all correct. NOPE! She forgot the last plate. Okay this is understandable, party of 8 and all… She splits the bill wrong… like EVERYOTHERTIME. It’s not just a «black swan» that rarely happens, she always gets stuff wrong. There is statistical significant. We still tipped, because she was polite and sort of tried to do her job. Anyways. The food is decent, and you don’t have much choice for wings in the u district right? They have a bunch of TV’s here, which make it great for watching sports. The location is nice. The wings are pretty good too. But I had wings at this placed called Wingstop, and ever since then havn’t had wings that tasted as good. Not saying Wingstop is the holygrail and best wings in the world, but I am just eliciting that Wing Central is not the best wings in the Northwest region.

If you need to watch a game, come here. Wing Central is set up perfectly for game watching. The room is wide open and airy, there are six large screens(3 on each side) in addition to a giant projection on one wall and those booths lining the perimeter with the smaller screens at each table. There is no spot in here where you can’t get a good view of the action. If you like beer, you also might like it here. I just glanced over the beer page but the list seemed pretty extensive from what I remember. As for the food, I was a fan. I’m not a regular wing-eater so you can take that with a grain of salt but I loved the kamikazi(yes, they spell it incorrectly) wings even though they seemed a bit small to me. As you’ve probably guessed by the name, they have an Asian spin on them but I wouldn’t quite call it teriyaki like some others do. I can’t actually define the flavor, but it was good! And those garlic waffle fries? Yeah, they’re the devil. Soaked in garlic and cheese and grease, they aren’t for the faint of heart. But, they’re pretty sinfully good. The only thing that bumped it down to 3 stars from 4 is that it took FOREVER to get any attention by the serving staff. Some would even see us waiting expectantly and just keep on going wiping down tables or walking around seemingly aimlessly. And after we were given attention, it was sporadic. I’m not holding my breath for better service though, as I’m sure the staff mostly consists of a steady turnover stream of college kids.

I came here with some friends in hopes to try some delicious wings. I was left a bit disappointed. There are really only a few types of wings here: fried(no sauce/little sauce), barbeque, and a variation of either fried or BBQ sprinkled with sesame seeds. We determined that any type of wings that sounded remotely Asian(«kamikaze», etc) was basically fried or BBQ wings with sesame seeds. Hence, the menu of wing flavors looks really impressive, but there really aren’t that many differing tastes. I liked the garlic wings the best but I felt that they skimped on the garlic sauce. They barely drizzled the sauce on the wings. Those were easily my favorite type of wings. The other variations we got were mostly BBQ wings dripping in sauce. I actually am not a huge fan of BBQ wings so it was a bit disappointing to see that half of our wings were literally just BBQ wings. The server was nice, although the wings took awhile to come out of the kitchen, and the place was not even that full at the time. Also they do not have carrots here, just celery sticks. I also thought the lighting of the place was a bit odd. It was a little too bright due to lights and giant TVs — awkwardly bright for a restaurant/bar at night! I would come back only for the garlic wings, but I would probably skip on the rest since they seem to be either plain fried(not much flavor) or dripping in BBQ sauce!

I never was interested in coming here until Monday Night Football with Seahawks playing against Green Bay Packers. I found out that my TV doesn’t have ESPN, so out of desperation and laziness to traverse further than a couple of yards, I came to Wing Central. A couple of hours before the game, I asked one of the hostesses(who looked like the manager) about how rowdy or busy it gets during game days. She was informative, helpful, and super friendly. I honestly could have hugged her because, as a college student, it is common to be greeted by perpetually cranky, old servers or the homeless. This was already a reason to come. I expressed my concern about not being able to get a booth that has one of those small televisions, and she said not to worry. Upon arrival, I managed to get a booth. Don’t be too concerned about not being able to see over tall people or heads because there’s no shortage of TVs. The amount of televisions here borderlines the Orwellian effect, but that’s not a bad thing here. Unlike others, I had very good service. Not sure if it were due to the expected peak of business because it was a game day, but the service was excellent. I wasn’t too hungry, but I neither got harassed too many times throughout my time there nor was I neglected. I had their wings with the kamikaze sauce and also some garlic, waffle fries that was dancing in oil at the bottom of the fry basket. I refrained from ordering a couple of beers because I probably would have hated myself all the way from there back to my apartment and then back there again. The wings and the sauce were extremely good. The kamikaze sauce sounds spicy and that’s what I expected, but it’s just a honey-esque, teriyaki-based sauce with sesame seeds sprinkled on top. It was tasty, nonetheless. I like how their wings here are not on steroids like most places. I like smaller wings, and they offer that here. The waffle fries, to me, were a little on the oversalted side, but being that they probably expect you to chase it with some beer, that was my bad. I would come back here again for another Seahawks game that I can’t watch at my apartment. The energy was great, and I found myself high-fiving and celebrating with total strangers after a kind of, sort of botched victory for Seattle. But that’s for another review.

FINALLY! Good wings! I was really excited to try a new wing place since my wing snobbery has forced me to stop going to other wing-ed restaurants in the area. Sigh. NOWFINALLY I CANEATWINGSAGAIN! GOOOOD wings! So many flavor options, I love it! Bone in or out! Actually, when you first open the menu you cant really find the wings because they offer so many other options(ie. you can take your non-wing friends to lunch here). The garlic wings were not the best, but the 1 degree is really good for people who want the tiniest amount of spice. 2 degree is good for most people who like hot wings, but dont want to die. They have other hotter ones we didnt try. The 40 wings for $ 30 deal is great, and you can choose 4 flavors. The rodeo honey was good and like a sweet bbq sauce. It comes with dipping sauce and celery, but go ahead and ask for extra napkins. They dont keep paper towels on the tables like other places. They have a TON of beers! If you want to try all 101(or whatever) they have a club and you get a private party after, etc. Ask your server. Beer is only $ 4 there! Good deal! The only thing I didnt like was the massive amount of TVs. I really dont need one at my table… I couldnt look in any direction without seeing at least 3 TVs.

I came here with a group of friends to watch the Heat vs Mavericks game since they have several flat screens to watch from. I normally don’t tell my friends how much I love to Unilocal. However, when I checked in there was a check-in offer for a free basket of garlic fries. Right after I told my friends, they made Unilocal accounts on the spot. I’m glad we all took advantage of this check-in offer because I enjoyed the fries since they were hot and covered in garlic sauce. Sadly, this was my favorite thing here… and yeah I know, Wing Central is supposed to be known for wings! I split a 25 wing basket with a friend and we ordered the garlic wings and the BBQ ones. I was not a fan of the garlic wings at all. There was barely any sauce and the ones that didn’t have sauce tasted bland and dry. No bueno. The BBQ wings were so much better since the sauce was a little smokey and tangy. I also got to try a wing with the third degree sauce and I thought it was alright but it was spicy, which is good in my book. Personally I prefer Wing dome’s wings over Wing Central’s. One of my friends decided to try their 8 degree chicken wing. It was super entertaining to watch since he was dripping with sweat while devouring this. Ok I take that back… it was only funny until he threw up in one of the bone buckets. I felt bad for him at that point… The servers here are super friendly which really made this place a lot of fun. When we needed more drinks or food, they always came at the right time to take more orders. I think this is a great place to watch games and hang out with groups of friends but I would only come here for 59 cent Tuesdays.
