Great lunch spot near the Needle. I ordered the Dutch baby because I’d seen reviews and where else would I have the chance to try it. It was really great. I was surprised that the syrup actually added to the flavor. My husband had the sardine sandwich which was really flavorful – he really liked it. He had the French onion soup that he really liked also. They make a mean whiskey sour with simple syrup and squeeze lemon – it was a great drink to have for lunch.

I can’t say I’ve been here… But the décor is beautiful! It’s farther out of the way of downtown but über it here! It’s popular so make a reservation! So I’m not sure why I’m writing this 5 star review other than I realllllly want to come back to Seattle & make this my first breakfast spot! Boy does that skillet dish look yum!

Love love love this place. Came here for wine and appetizers. We will be coming back for brunch just based on the other reviews. This place reminded me of the restaurants we went to in Europe. Cozy chill spot. All the staff was incredibly friendly. We felt bad for holding conversations here and there, but they didn’t treat us like they were in a rush to move on. We had their baked oysters and zucchini cakes with salmon. Yum and yum! Had no idea this place was so close but tucked away. So be on the lookout for it. Also, if you have a bike, they have bike parking nearby if you don’t want to deal with parking your car downtown.

What a great little place! I came strictly because of the reviews and photos that I had seen. I was promptly greeted by a friendly face and quickly sat at the bar. Every person I encountered there was very friendly. I ordered the Savory Dutch Baby, tomato soup, and fresh baked bread. Every bite was amazing. The Dutch Baby was a German like pancake bread baked in a skillet with bacon, cheddar cheese, and broccoli served with maple syrup. The waitress also suggested a habanero hot sauce to pair with it and she was absolutely correct. Delicious! The soup was fresh and full of flavor! The fresh baked bread was very tasty just buttered, but even better dipped in my soup. When the bartender accidentally poured an IPA, he asked my if I would like it! DUH! My bill was only $ 17 and I was STUFFED! I will definitely be returning. Well done!

Read the reviews here on Unilocal and was eager to give this place a try. I was salivating in a trance just looking at my monitor. I literally went straight to the restaurant from the airport. I made reservations in advance but had to keep calling the restaurant to move back time because my flight was 3 hours late. The staff was wonderful, understanding and very accommodating. The food was much better than imagined. We shared a classic & savory dutch baby in addition to the warm chicken salad. Everything was perfect. Our water Natty P. Was great. He thoroughly knew the menu and made the right recommendations. He gladly shared some of his knowledge of the city when asked. In summary this was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Even the French press coffee knocked my socks off. Great job everyone. I’ll post photos later…

Our server/bartender was very detailed when offering opinions on the menu and recommendations. The bf ordered the savory dutch baby, house potatoes, and pork sausage; which were quite tasty, but let me tell you about what I had… I decided on one of the specials for the day: TIRAMISUWAFFLE. Yes, this is real life. Yes, it tasted just like what you’d expect tiramisu would be. Yes, Jesus probably got tired of a plain waffle and went into the kitchen and made this one himself. No, I am not lying to you. The waffle was fluffy and crunchy and soft at the same time. The waiter sold me on it when he told me there was espresso in the waffle batter. Came with generous drizzle of finger licking good mocha syrup and topped with a generous dollop of mascarpone whipped cream!!! YOUMUSTGETTHISIFTHEYHAVEIT! Best waffle of my life thus far. The bf also ordered a beer from tap, the waitress accidentally filled it with too much foam, and gave him an extra baby cup of the beer to make up for it(see picture)!! Why? Because forget you and your perfect foam to beer ratio! When you order a beer, they fill it to the rim without the foam. Talk about good service. Came here for brunch before my flight back to the Bay from Seattle since it was just a couple blocks from my Airbnb and it has 4.5 stars on Unilocal. Well, I can definitely see why that is the case. I would give a 4.5 star too if I could. However, 4 stars because I thought the rest of the food wasn’t as impressive. The place was packed when we got there around 12PM, luckily there were two seats open at the bar(phew); so if you plan a visit, try to make a reservation!

Food is my real benchmark for a location, but in this case, Tilikum gets 5 stars because of a service and staff that made my evening. The guests helped too. On a trip solo, this was my last night in Seattle, and I picked the right place. I sat at the bar, and made conversation with the bartender, but it became more than that. I don’t remember her name, but she was incredibly friendly, and helpful, as I asked many questions. Some locals were at the bar, and they were also incredible. One was kind enough to point me to a speak easy near my Airbnb, the other continued great conversation all night. The food was also excellent — I enjoyed a steak dish, cooked perfectly(I like it rare), with a sauce, over a sweet potato-type side. The bread and olive oil on the side was also hitting the spot while I sat, drank, and enjoyed the company. This is a must on your next visit to Tilikum, if the food doesn’t ‘wow’ you, the service and friendly locals will!

Tried the milk braised pork with Yukon potatoes and poached egg, hard egg sandwich with smoked salmon on an English muffin, French onion soup, and golden beets salad. Everything was delicious! Service was a little slow, a few people left because they weren’t helped for 20 minutes, which is why I’m giving 4 stars, but other than that no complaints. Servers were very polite and helpful. I recommend that you make reservations ahead of time or you’ll be waiting for 30+ minutes.

We were greeted relatively soon after we walked in the door, all the staff was friendly towards us and among themselves. Our amazing server, Ford, recommended to us to get a bottle of prosecco with our brunch and add a glass of orange juice, would be a little less than getting four glasses. He was attentive, kind, and had an upbeat and casual attitude that was greatly appreciated. We shared the the oatmeal waffle with apricot and thyme apricot compote and honey whipped cream was perfect for sharing between the four of us. We also got the tomato soup, side of warm bread with jam and Nutella, roasted potatoes and a bacon and leek quiche. All of which were astounding. The quiche was perfectly moist and the soup was excellent, perfectly seasoned. The vibe in here is casual and relaxed, but would come back for another birthday brunch, or even a evening date. I would highly recommend this place to anyone walking around Belltown and looking for an appropriately priced food and easy atmosphere.

Found Tilikum Café disappointing. I focused on all the delicious looking pics ahead of time and didn’t read that many reviews. If you ask me, the Dutch Baby is way overrated! Ordered a classic lemon Dutch Baby. The menu says it’s a baked pancake. Didn’t taste at all like a pancake to me. It was more like a hard custard. Just tasted like eggs. Very bland eggs. I was expecting something close to a lemon bar flavor wise. I also ordered roasted potatoes. The potatoes were tasty. Not overly cooked and nicely seasoned. When our waitress brought them to the table, she asked if I’d like to try their curry ketchup. I said I’d just stick with regular ketchup. Turns out they don’t have any«regular» ketchup. You can’t get any Heinz in this place?! There was a busboy that kept«tidying» up our table. His words, not mine. He seemed to hover too much. He even noticed that my friend asked to have mushrooms added to his savory Dutch Baby. I’m going with three stars because I think this café has potential. It feels like I need to come back and try another dish, based on all of the other positive reviews. If I decide to come back, I’ll be sure to make an update.

The resturant is small and everyone makes reservation, so make sure you do or most likely you won’t be seated. The server is friendly and the resturant is clean. I had the classic Dutch baby and side of bacon, it was delicious but deceiving heavily. The Dutch baby is small but deadly, expect to fall asleep after this meal!

My boyfriend decided to take us to brunch in Seattle, we had a bit of time before we board the Princess Cruise to Alaska so he found one of Seattle’s most poppin’ brunch spot. MAKERESERVATION! We were lucky enough to get seated as other groups were scared away with the 1hr wait. A guy by the windown(the best seat in the house, i would say) just got up and we were seated right away! They changed up their egg bennys every other week i believe, and i was the poor unfortunate egg benny lover to have a week where the vegetarian option was not offered. I had to opt for the baked eggs and although it was a bit heavy it was still pretty decent. What was amazing and a special of the day was the Tiramisu waffle! Had i not been so freaking full from everything else I could of ate 2 of these bad boys! I absolutely loved everything about this waffle. They had coffee bean blended in and the cream on top was an espresso flavor and it was to DIE!!! Sitting by the window, was wonderful especially on a rainy day — really gives you that seattle vibe!

My hotel concierge recommended this place for breakfast and after having read all the amazing reviews, I was excited. However, not realizing that it was a long weekend, I optimistically walked in and asked for a table for one. Imagine my surprise when the server’s reaction, VERBATIM, was«If you don’t have a reservation, I don’t have time to serve you» — Imagine this Unilocalers jaw on the ground after hearing these words! I apologized, not knowing it would be reservations only on this Memorial Day Monday, and she then continued«You can try next door»… I don’t care how good the food is here, friendliness is clearly non-existent… Will not be returning.

Make a reservation. Cute space but the options are limited and portions are on the smaller side. The Dutch baby’s are good but the eggs benedict is not that exciting. I tried it because of the good reviews but I don’t think its worth the trek to Belltown. I have been to better brunch places in this price range.

On our first trip to Seattle I had seen Tilikum among the highly rated brunch options but we weren’t able to try it at the time because of a lengthy wait. This time we walked in and were seated immediately. Over all the service was fine and the food was decent but I have to say that the Dutch baby I make at home is better. And that’s mainly why they are getting a 3 star review from me. Because after we weren’t able to eat here last time I got curious about Dutch baby pancakes, did some recipe research and started making Dutch babies at home. They’re super easy and very delicious both sweet and savory. So when we had Tilikum’s Dutch baby, my boyfriend actually said mine was better. It is a lovely little spot though and has a view of the Space Needle so not a bad way to spend your brunch at all.

Alright so let me just come out and say it, their dutch baby — had high hopes but I thought it was just… meh, say what??? Ok so here goes. I came here for brunch on my birthday super excited to try something new from what I saw in the pictures and the hype. Dutch Baby — I got the savory: broccoli, bacon, Beecher’s cheddar one which was more bland than tasty. You know when you bake egg muffins there is that eggy taste to it which says, yo you are eating no flour paleo meals? Well thats what the outer crust tastes and smells like. To add insult to injury, they serve it with sweet syrup which makes me go, hey why you give me sweet syrup with a dish thats supposed to be savory? Doesn’t make much sense does it? Moving on… Sardine Sandwich — My friend, lucky bum that he is, got the Sardine Sandwich. Now I was thinking Sardine sandwich would be a meh thing compared to the grand dutch baby but wrong again. The olives added a sour flavor on the bread and the arugula its bitterness, which was beautifully intermingled with the toasty sweetness of the roasted tomato, the saltiness of the fish and the slight dryness of the bread: overall a pleasure bomb in your bomb. I had only a bite, coz tis rude to eat other people’s food but damn that was so so good. Side of Roasted Potatoes — Which were nothing to rave about and A-Ok. Not bad but not awesomely great Dessert — Opted out of dessert but got a dessert wine instead. Mas Amiel, a red dessert wine. Have had multiple white ice wines in the past but boy did Mas Amiel leave an impression. It has the characteristic red dryness, isn’t too sweet but instead leaves a sweet and dry finish on the tongue that leaves you wanting more. I could easily drink a bottle of this. I was so impressed by their Sardine sandwich and Mas Amiel, that I upped by rating from a 3 to a 4. I am not one to stop at first bites, so will definitely come here again to see what interesting things such as the Sardines sandwich and Mas Amiel hide in their menu waiting to blow your socks off.

We walked in at 9:15am on a Sunday and they were able to accommodate us, but I know from experience that’s not typical; generally you really NEED reservations here! Our brunch was excellent — fresh squeezed grapefruit and orange juices, French press coffee, unique menu items with good-quality ingredients. Everything was pricey($ 5 a glass for the OJ) but I think worth the expense for a special occasion or on vacation. Oh, and the Dutch Babies are ridiculously wonderful! That is, if you’re sever doesn’t drop it and make it fall like ours did :-(We didn’t have time to wait for another one, and it still tasted Heavenly :-)

Grilled Tri Tip Steak. Don’t even think twice about it, just do it and you will be glad you did. Get it medium rare! But really though. what other way to eat steak? Hands down probably one of the best pieces of steak I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The dish is pretty small and there are literally only 3 pretty juicy and plump chunks of steak pieces, but they blew my mind away and the flavors altogether meshed with potatoes, asparagus, and the glacé de viande was just perfect. My friends got the lamb chop and I tried it and it was also good, but not Grilled-Tri-Tip-Steak good. I also got one of the Manhattan Cocktails. I forgot what the exact name was, but it was the last one on the page and was the only one that had tequila in it. It was delicious and STRONG — they don’t cheap you out with the alcohol. It was a great combination with the steak and I really enjoyed both. Service is great and very friendly! Our server who I forgot her name was. but she was wearing a blue headband and had dark and curly hair in a pony tail — she was a sweet heart. Definitely made our trip worthwhile and the overall ambience of the place is cozy, yet fancy too which is nice. Other servers and employees besides our own were also attentive of our table and once our water jug was empty, someone came immediately. All my friends enjoyed this spot and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! It was a great experience.

The hype around this place is definitely justified; I’m just a little shocked that I’d never been here before this month. 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 9.5÷10. It was incredibly hard to pick between the vast selection of possible brunch options, but at the end of the day, I picked the apple cinnamon dutch baby, and I’m so glad I did. I was also feeling adventurous, and wanted to try a coffee + liquer; WOW, do they have some great choices. Irish liquor with coffee is a great combination, but I was so torn between this one and another one that I might come back soon to try the other choice I was so excited about. 2) FRESHNESS: 10⁄10. Wow; I was impressed by the flakiness of the crust, and the fluff that the overall breading had when getting through the dish. The coffee, too, was incredibly fresh — they blend the roast into a personal press, and leave you the pitcher to determine your own concentrations of alcohol & coffee(hint: half of the shot and a full glass makes a great time). 3) VALUEFORMONEY: 8⁄10. So while I definitely enjoyed my experience here(and will come back again soon), it wasn’t the nicest experience for my wallet. The Irish liquor & coffee cost a tad much for what you get(one shot of liquor, which is basically on it’s own 4/5ths of the price), and the dutch baby was a little on the high end for the portion size. Would definitely reconsider pricing(especially considering how busy this place is on average), if only to ensure that people like me keep coming back(or at least have more specials — I *love* menu specials!). 4) SERVICE: 9⁄10. I had no idea how to order when I got here — I was seated by a waiter who asked if I wanted a bar seat(seemed reasonable enough), and then I was stumped by who to ask to order food, since that waiter took off before I could figure out what to do next. The bartender swung by to ask if I wanted anything to drink(which is when I ordered the liquor + coffee combination), and this is when I realized that I placed any food orders through him! Very engaging bartender, and offered some great suggestions for drinks when I got stuck on a decision. 5) PRICE: 8.5÷10. I’m begrudgingly giving this an 8.5, but I may change this after I go back again and have a more fresh context to make a review out of(since I’d visited over 2 weeks ago as of tomorrow). OVERALL: 9⁄10. I’m impressed by the atmosphere and the quality of the food here, but not as much about the price of the alcohol + coffee drinks. The portion sizes of the food are reasonably large, but it’d be nice to see more variety among possible choices(like offering combos, since dutch babies probably go great with a certain drink and/or follow-up dish). I definitely recommend this place for a coffee(they have a really good coffee press, and a great selection of alcoholic coffee drinks) or food. The atmosphere here is definitely more intimate, when considering the size of tables and the overall size of the seating area(especially compared to the bar), which is great for a small group or even just a lone wolf going out for a quick drink /bite to eat.

Best way to describe Tilikum Place Café is… interesting. A good interesting with a slight tinge of weird to it. Tilikum’s specialty is the Dutch baby, which I’ve wanted to try for the longest time ever since learning about it from Bob’s Burgers. I really enjoyed the classic lemon one, and the savory bacon & broccoli one was good, too. If the Dutch baby is what your heart desires, order which one you want when you are seated so that you can tear into that baby without too long of a wait. Now, for the other things we ordered, I’m not entirely sure I actually enjoyed what I was eating, but the fact I kept eating it was a good sign. I picked baked eggs, which is just that with chunks of butternut squash underneath. The squash was a little TOO crunchy(i.e., I’m pretty sure it wasn’t baked all the way through) for my taste, and there wasn’t anything particularly special with the eggs, either — nothing was really wrong with the dish, but nothing about it really excited me, either. Also, their eggs benedict are… interesting, as well. I tried a bite of the Dungeness crab benedict, which is served on cornbread instead of an English muffin, and I can’t say I was the biggest fan with that«perfect» bite of egg, crab, cornbread, and sauce. Something tasted really off to me, but the rest of my party REALLY liked it, so that’s no sweat off my back. I think Tilikum is a place to go with your friends to catch up over a long meal, especially since their Dutch babies and baked eggs require quite a bit of time to prepare in the kitchen. I totally dig the restaurant’s vibe and service, but the food here will forever be «interesting» to me.

A great find! It rests in the shadows of the Space Needle and I found it really cool that I could look upward and see the top of the needle from my seat through the small paned and intermittently frosted windows. We got both coffee and orange juice, which were quite good! Now for the food, we tried the Dutch Baby, which is basically a cross between a pancake and a soufflé. They have various flavors but we got the cinnamon one. Very good and quite large. Chicken noodle soup was spot on and satisfying. As for the eggs with fried oysters, this was a special for the day. I’ve been trying to have a lot of oysters during my time in Seattle. This was a very satisfying brunch dish. Good portions, large and juicy oysters. Came with salad and potatoes. Definitely recommend a visit!

I’m still a little hesitant when it comes to popular brunch places in Seattle because I come from Los Angeles(I call it the Mecca of Food). So I didn’t come with much expectations(despite the great reviews). Knowing fully well that this place popular, I made reservations beforehand to be somewhat efficient & am glad I did! Ordered their baked eggs & classic Dutch Baby. I can agree with many and can see why those two dishes are the most popular. «It’ll take about 20 minutes before it comes out of the oven» they said. Pssshh trusting my fellow Unilocalers, I knew it was going to be worth the wait. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The baked eggs were crumbly on top, soft and hot on the inside. It kinda has a quiche texture to it. Their classic Dutch baby… After tasting it, all I can say is that it makes me want to try their other two flavors/options(Sweet & Savory). Thank you Tilikum for a great brunch experience! Will be coming back for sure!

Walked down to this place with my bestie to get pre valentines dinner. spot was easy to find and had a good top view of space needle! We had baked oysters and steamed clams for appetizers and we weren’t disappointed. Clams were fresh and tastes great! The sauce had a good consistency. Baked oysters were buttery and succulent! I would definitely get them again. We had that day’s special scallops for main course and the scallops were humongous. the playing was impressive. our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I’d go back there again for brunch sometime! it’s a good place to go with your loved ones…

FOOD — Savory Dutch Babies: broccoli, bacon, and Beecher’s cheddar. This requires 20 minutes to prepare. I’ve never had a Dutch Baby before. It’s almost like a mix between a quiche and a pie. It has a puff«crust» and egg filling with broccoli, hardly any bacon, and cheese. It was okay. I thought it was going to be amazing because it had rave reviews. It was a little bland to me. It definitely tasted a lot better with the honey. 3.5÷5 — Hot Chocolate: Good. It kept me warm in Seattle’s cold weather. 4⁄5 SERVICE My husband and I came across this place at lunch. We were greeted by the host, who asked if we had reservations. We didn’t(big mistake!). It was an hour wait but I wanted to try the food here so we waited. Walk-ins are required to sit at the bar, which wasn’t a problem. As the host was checking off names of people who were ahead of us and it came closer to my name, I asked if she can put my order early since Dutch Babies required time. It’s against their policy, but she was nice enough to put my order in right after she seated us. Thank goodness she did because it took over 10 minutes for our waiter to take my husband’s order. It was Valentine’s Day and it was super busy. Our waiter was friendly and attentive considering how busy it was. 5⁄5 FINALTHOUGHTS I would come back to try other things. But next time, I’ll make sure to make reservations.

So on my recent trip to Seattle the BF made reservations to eat at Tilikum Place Café. This place is super cute and pretty darn close to the Space Needle. We were quickly seated, and the place was packed(always a great sign). The server came over to take our drink order as well as explain the menu a little. The BF ordered a coffee and I had water. Looking over the menu and the day’s specials… I decided on one of their specials the Polenta with Rainbow Trout & Poached Egg… the BF ordered the savory dutch baby. My dish was so fresh and delicious not super heavy but filling nonetheless. I have nothing bad to say about it… it was just good. SOGOOD. The savory dutch baby just reminded me of an omelette nothing extraordinary to be honest. Let’s just say… I won for ordering the better dish. I can only comment on brunch. If and when I go back to Seattle, I think I’d drop by again!

This place was recommended by a coworker that lives in the neighborhood. I really like the duck and they have a very creative menu. Been there twice. The savory tart is an interesting arrangement constructed around root vegetables. They have a very good wine list and offer some top notch cheeses and charcuterie at a reasonable price. I could make this a regular hang out when visiting for business. By the way, staff is very friendly.

Love this adorable brunch place. They have a great selection of brunch dishes with the popular Dutch babies. Called a day in advance to make a reservation. I recommend making a reservation before hand as there is usually a long wait during weekend brunch. Our party got the sweet Dutch baby to share. I got the salmon breakfast sandwich and got to try the baked eggs and the breakfast plate. I loved the salmon breakfast sandwich. It was a good balance of everything with a sunny side up egg, smoked salmon, arugula on an English muffin. The potatoes and side salad was great too. The bacon in the breakfast plate was delicious and I don’t even like bacon that much. The baked eggs with the butternut squash was awesome. And the Dutch baby was an apple pie but better. Warm and tasty. Only complaint is the tiny cups used for juice. Even the large was tiny. Awesome food and atmosphere, will definitely be coming back!

Unbelievable! I wish I could give this place 6 stars! From start to finish, this place went above and beyond to exceed expectations. The service was great! They treat everyone like a regular, and you’ll inevitably be inverted into one! Personalized and very attentive! We dropped in and the place was booked so we sat at the bar, and let me tell you, it was the best seat in the house! They have an open kitchen plan so you’ll be entertained for hours watching Chef Brian performing in the kitchen. With fresh ingredients proudly displayed and cookbooks decorating the adjacent shelves, it’s clear that food isn’t just their business, but it’s respected here. We ordered: The pasta with browned butter and chestnuts The tart Baked oysters Halibut special Every dish was so incredible in its own right. The pasta so fresh and the flavors were perfectly subtle, so you could taste every component individually. The tart was filled with ooey, gooey cheese in a flakey pastry. The baked oysters were the best I’ve ever had. And the halibut had a great sear covering the soft well cooked inside, on a bed of lemony kale and the sauce! Omg! And the cake! Omg! It was all so delicious! As I said, we were watching Chef Brian work his magic in the kitchen, and when we asked about one of the dishes he was preparing, he was kind enough to dip a spoon in and hand us a tasting. It was all around a great experience! We’ve been here once and are already regulars!

I’m sad it took me so long to discover this place! My friend and I arrived for brunch around 12:30pm and they told us it would be a half hour wait. We waited at a coffee shop nearby and called half an hour later. We were seated about 40 minutes from when we originally arrived. We ordered: –Baked eggs with cheese, butternut squash and sage –Sweet dutch baby pancake with cinnamon and apples. We saw a lot of delicious things come through the kitchen while we waited. It was awesome and we got ideas for next time but unfortunately, it was kind of torturous since our food took about 30 – 40 minutes to arrive! Luckily, everything we ate was delicious! The flavors were thoughtful and the pastry on the dutch baby pancake was spot on. This place is also very affordable for a sit-down brunch: our dishes were $ 10 and $ 9 each! I am definitely going to come back here but only if I’m in the mood to wait.

Ordered the Sardine Salad in a Carb free setup and the tomato soup was gnarly. My friend loved her baked eggs too. The down side was, mediocre french wine selection and SLOWWWW cooking. Keep in mind, no one comes to the restaurant full. You do not want your guest to dry out the conversation and start wondering about where the food is. 25 minutes for baking eggs? Either put that on the menu to warn or there was something wrong in the kitchen.

Went here for Sunday brunch with a girlfriend. Since we didn’t have a reservation(although it appears they do take reservations which is awesome), we had to wait 30 minutes for seats at the bar. I liked sitting at the bar as we had a full view of the kitchen, but it was somewhat torturous given everything looked so delicious. We got our food about 30 – 40 minutes later, but it was worth the wait. We shared the butternut squash baked eggs and apple & cinnamon dutch baby. I liked how they had a lot of semi-healthy options on the menu(e.g. veggies but with cheese). Both dishes were delicious and so satisfying. To make it even better, we only paid about $ 13 each which I’m sure is one of the more affordable brunches out there. All in all, I would totally come here again, but make a reservation and expect the service to be slow! Like really, really slow…

Make reservations! When we got there, it was pretty empty, and by the time we left, the place was packed! Dutch Baby($ 10 — Savory) This is a AMAZING. This is absolutely a must. I command you all to get one to try. Forget all the other stuff on the menu. If they only had Dutch Babies, they’d do just fine. I can’t even explain how good it is, like I don’t even know to start. It’s fluffy and savory on the inside. Yeah, idk. Just… TRYIT. SOGOOD! TPC Breakfast Plate($ 14) The sausage on the TPC is homemade and the best part about this dish. I wouldn’t get this again, only because it made me really full to fully enjoy my Dutch Baby. French Onion Soup($ 12 — Bowl) This FOS is awesome. You don’t need a bowl like we got, A cup should be plenty for one person, unless you’re sharing. Again, keep some room for the Dutch Baby!

We were happy to find a quaint and attractive brunch spot within walking distance of our hotel. We had high expectations based on previous reviews and were looking forward to a pleasant brunch. While we can agree with many of the positive reviews regarding the quality of the food our experience was tainted by absolutely horrendous service. Not just poor service but actually terrible service. This was made worse as it seems we had the only server in the house that appeared to be absolutely clueless. It was actually bad enough that it became laughable. I wish I could offer a more positive review or better insight into the restaurant but to be honest, the terrible service overshadowed the entire meal.

This is a nice, very fancy, place to have brunch at. I dined at this establishment before going to the Pacific Northwest Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker. They have seasonal(at least that’s what I was told) and local fare. They are a bit resistant to substitutions which is fine… I GUESS! haha I ordered and enjoyed lemon pancakes with beechers cheese instead of the raspberry compote as a topping. You should have seen my waiter’s face. He was like wtf is that. It was delicious, the judgement only made the breakfast taste richer. Bacon there is the bomb but true to Seattle brunch very expensive to add on to your meal. My favorite dining partner had the Baked Eggs and that was wholly and completely delicious. The waiter was attentive and nice, outside of shock from learning I like cheese on top of pancakes, and was super into his job/the food. Having a name like Tilikum I was hoping to find native American inspired fare and/or decorations among the walls. The place is cute and trendy.

The food was great, the service was attentive, the prices are a little high– but the quality of the overall experience is very good. Parking can be tricky– but it’s worth it. This is a great place to take your parents for breakfast if they are visiting from out of town– it’s that kind of place.

My mom was visiting from Boston and we needed a delicious brunch close to my apartment. After realizing I had never been to TPC, I called in to make a reservation for mater that morning. Mom enjoyed it so much that she wanted to come back for dinner!(I insisted she try new places.) My latte and her fence press both came with lotto chocolate fog cookies. Adorable and sweet. Mom peewee the baked eggs($ 10) served in a little cast iron skillet. Butternut squash, roasted poblanos, sage, goat cheese cream, caramelized onions, bread crumbs… Beyond amazing! Ugh! I had the Mushroom Ragu eggs Benedict. On lieu of an English muffin, there was something wonderful, but k don’t know what it was. A hunk of bread pudding? I don’t know, but I loved it. Served with perfectly cooked baby potatoes, quartered. The way the flavors and textures interacted was heavenly… props to the chef! I was pleasantly surprised to get a side of scratch-made curry ketchup to go with my potatoes. We didn’t have room to try the famous Dutch babies, but they looked delish!

Tilikum has become a favorite landmark of mine in Seattle! I stopped by on my trip up here last year, and couldn’t wait to do so again. Their signature fry up is a simple, delectable combination of flavors that I adore! It’s rare for me to enjoy a savory rather than sweet breakfast, but even their omelettes are marvelous. My only reservation is that the while Dutch baby with fruit has a flawless crust, but the inner fruit filling still needs a bit of flavor balancing. The place is always busy, so definitely count on a short wait or a seat at the bar if you don’t reserve. But it’s busy for a reason :)

I came here while visiting Seattle. My friend and I found it on Unilocal and decided to check it out due to its high ratings. The menu didn’t have a super diverse selection, but I ordered their special that day, which was a biscuit with vegetable gravy topped with an egg. Very tasty – if they offer that again as a special, I highly recommend it!

Note: I think I’d give this place a strong 3.5, but didn’t really want to give them a 3… Décor: Let me start off by saying this place is super cute! Love the simple décor, chalk board specials menus, and exposed brick inside of the café. They have little Christmas lights up inside and outside which gave everything a cutesy festive feel. They have cute little light fixtures too which I liked! Service: Kind of… Odd. The lady that sat us initially was just kind of weird, for lack of a better(more descriptive) word. She ended up stealing and adding some chairs to our table since we had a larger group than most, which was appreciated because it got us seated quickly. Our actual waitress though was just kind of off… I don’t know if she was new, or maybe she’s always just out of it, but it was just weird. She wasn’t very personable and was just awkward? I really don’t know how to explain it, she was just weird. Food: Combined with the awkward service, this is where I had to deduct some starage. I wanted to do the soup and sandwich combo; I was going to go with the sandwich of the day(ham & Gruyère cheese) and then do the french onion soup. After my order was taken I was informed that the sandwich was done for the day. No problem, I’ll get the soup of the day(split pea & ham)! Guess what… No more of that either. So, I had to just look at a menu and throw something together. I still ended up getting the french onion and then opted for a side order of the roasted potatoes. My soup was suuuper good, one of the best french onion soups that I’ve had. The roasted potatoes were seasoned nicely and actually came pretty warm, which made me happy! All in all I think it was a fairly positive experience. I paid $ 12 after tip, so it’s definitely an affordable sit-down option. I’d be interested in coming back and trying something more complex off their menu and maybe with better service. :)

If you want to eat here on a weekend, I would *definitely* recommend getting a reservation. Even for a group of two, you pretty much have to try your luck at the bar. The good thing is that they’ll take down your phone number and just call you when it opens up. We did this, and went around the corner to Cherry Street Coffee while we waited. The food here is amazing. We shared the baked eggs and a classic dutch baby. Well worth the wait. The eggs had lots of great flavors and textures. The dutch baby was light and sweet with crispy edges. Perfect!

I am excited that the European dishes my Mom used to make for me when I was a kiddo have recently come into vogue, and so it goes with Dutch babies. My Mom has been baking those for our family for years, and this is the first time I have ever found them on any menu. We walked into TPC late on a Wednesday afternoon, and we were starving, as usual. The menu is simple yet has many delicious-sounding offerings, so we had a rough time making decisions … Decisions, decisions. We started with a French-pressed coffee for two($ 5.50), the burrata with creamed leeks and bacon, and the cauliflower bisque. I kind of think we could have just stopped there. First off, the coffee was fantastic — strong-brewed and served with a little lemon shortbread on the spoon(nice touch). Again, I don’t think you can get a bad cup of coffee in Seattle. Burrata is a must-have for me on any menu, and TPC’s was delicious and satisfying — a copious amount of burrata served with whole grain toast and creamed leeks with bacon? You would have to try hard to make that taste bad. The cauliflower bisque was also outstanding — it had such interesting flavors — we could taste all of the seasonings. For entrees, which in retrospect were a little unnecessary as the small plates were more than enough, I ordered the savory Dutch baby with broccoli, cheddar, and bacon. My boyfriend ordered the baked eggs. Both were solid choices, but I think mine was the winner. If you’ve never had a Dutch baby before, you are missing out. They’re sort of a mix between bread, custard and pie — my mom usually bakes them plain and then we put maple syrup on them. TPC’s savory offering is delicious — and it is also served with maple syrup. It takes a while to bake and it comes out pretty hot, so don’t be hasty like me or you will have burnt pizza mouth for days! The baked eggs were also delicious, as I am a sucker for anything that is loaded with cheese, especially goat cheese. Our server was super nice with cool, quirky style. The interior is wooden and clean but with an antique sort of feel. Don’t forget to look at the specials for the day. Wine and beer only. Reasonably priced. Good times.
