This place is pretty damn good. They have a respectable beer menu, though this is not a typical Seattle hop house. This place does have two IPAs tonight, one of which was the Stone IPA rotator. Good stuff: damned fine service, plenty of room, pretty good menu. Bad stuff: no bike parking(please ask the City to put some racks in), far from anything else(low Walk-score).

I would have never guessed that this place was what I expected it to be. I walk and bike by it all the time and finally spent some time in there. Holy cow! Huge venue and pretty good beer selection. I didn’t get a chance to try the food. We had eaten prior, but will definitely give it a shot next time. They have some outdoor seating but that fills up fast when it’s not raining. Inside, is good ‘ol bench style so if it gets crowded, make some friends will ya? Good social atmosphere, and definitely a place where you need to speak up. Overall, a good time that is easily walkable for us Lower Queen Anne folks.

Loud, louder, loudest. If you want to not talk and stare at your cellphone with your friends this is the place for you. Food is good, beer selection is great, you’ll be deaf and horse when you leave

Went for beers and some brats and was neither impressed nor disgusted. I have to say the beer was mighty flavorful and if I remember correctly they had a pretty impressive selection(might be thinking of another place). The pretzel I ordered was just meh and my friend was not overly excited about his food either. Was edible I guess. Next time I will definitely be trying the brat bar which went unnoticed until we left. Overall I did not experienced this places full potential but to be fair have only been there once for about an hour. Will return to give another go…

Now… Ive heard there are those that bitch about the new banners, but then you dont have to go to there. I thought this place was very delightful, unique and Germanee. I loved the beer selection, the service was incredible which is hard to find in Seattle, the fucking PC capital of the world! The food was amazing it was soooo authentic that it reminded me of the movie Run Lola Run, when they eat German Food, which they call«Regular Food». I highly recommend this place, to anyone that is looking for an different experience than the normal Seattle Bah. you can eat some sauges for about 15 bucks and the beer is on par with most Seattle breweries, which is about 8 — 10 bucks a pint. I wish i could remember our servers name but she was really great.

Come here for the beer; not the food. Great space, nice big hall with large tables but it’s loud so you won’t be having any decent conversations. The food is not all that special, it’s pricey and the things we ordered: root veggies, Spázle, and crispy cauliflower had a burnt taste. If you want a bratwurst you need to pay with cash(odd). Kids ok.

I like the environment here but I wouldn’t say the food is great. There’s a huge selection of drinks to choose from and the food menu has variety, I just haven’t come across anything that blew me away. I like that they have their own parking.

I really enjoyed this spot. They definitely got the whole beer hall vibe down. I have been to a few in Germany and it felt very European, I almost forgot we were in Seattle! The inside has many long tables and feels very authentic. They have a good selection of Czech and German beers on tap. They average about $ 7. They also have a lot of bottles that are a bit more expensive than that. We only had an appetizer here, no dinner. We got the pretzel, it was large enough to share for 3 people. It came with a cheese dip as well as mustard. When it first came out, the pretzel was barely heated and was ice cold inside. Our waitress quickly made this right and we got a new pretzel that was actually hot this time. I did feel like it was a little pricey at $ 11. The service here was good and the beers were tasty. If I am wanting an authentic German beer on tap, I would stop here!

This place really makes you feel like you’re in a German beer hall. My boyfriend and I went on a Monday night so it was rather empty on the inside but the outside area was completely full. We decided to sit by the bar so we sat right away and were greeted by our bartender who was very nice and engaged in conversation with us at various points thought out the night. We each got ½ a liter of beer and would have gone for the full liter had we not been drinking prior to arriving here. There was a wide selection of beer and I decided to go for a wheat beer by the name of «Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbie». To eat I wanted to have a hot dog like meal and noticed a couple options. I went with the smoked polish kielbasa which came with fries, sauerkraut and Macrina rye bread. However, it is good to note that this and any form of hot dog comes from the«walk up grill» and can only be paid cash. It was 12 $ which wasn’t bad at all. My boyfriend had the Bavarian soft pretzel which was huge and only 11 $. This place served really good food in exchange of the price. I wish they had a location in Miami as my boyfriend and I are huge fanatics of beers!

This is a great beer hall. They do an excellent job recreating a good German Beer Hall, but it has a NW flavor. There are a lot of communal tables and are great for large groups. That being said, it is loud so don’t go if you are looking for really meaningful socializing. The menu(beer, booze, and food) is good. It is not over whelming. The selection of German beer is great; really unique and the staff knows the menu and will guide you if you don’t know what to order. They did have Goose Island as the local beer on our last visit which is not local at all. The food is quality. I really liked the Deviled Eggs with Fried Oysters. The sausage bar is great, but I wish it wasn’t cash only. The rest of the place takes cards and so should this. That being said portions are great there. The service is a bit slow, but it can get busy. They are extremely friendly.

Move over, Rhein Haus – there’s a new beerhall king in town, and it’s Queen Anne Beerhall. The folks here have really hit it out of the park in terms of atmosphere. There’s Czech and German signage plastered all over the inside of the building, an almost sterile sort of wall tiling that’s distinctly Eastern European, old-school tap designs, and the long, communal tables that are evocative of all those Oktoberfest pictures you see once a year. As someone who once spent several months drinking copious amounts of beer in Eastern Europe, this felt like a serious throwback to those times. The tap list is dominated by German offerings, with a few Belgian, Czech, and Austrian options in their midst. Most beers are offered in either half-liter or liter glasses. Since the half-liter literally costs half of what the liter does, we decided to stick to the half-liters to maximize the variety of beer we could try during our visit. I’m usually a craft beer snob when it comes to domestic brews, but there’s no question that the macro breweries in Europe always know what they’re doing – I don’t think there’s a bad option listed on the beer list here. I started out with the Kulmbacher Pilsner, which came in a ceramic beer mug(it keeps your beer nice and cold – I highly recommend it!) and was very satisfyingly refreshing for the hot Saturday afternoon that it was. My second drink was the Queen Anne Original Haus(presumably their house beer), which was also light and refreshing, and especially enjoyable at the $ 5 happy hour price tag. While we didn’t partake in food while here, there’s a walk-up grill(cash only!) that was serving some delicious-looking wursts with bread and fries. The beerhall has an unfortunately small patio that was already packed to the brim at 3PM on a Saturday. Pity, since we were quite looking forward to soaking up some rays with our beer. The stroller brigade began arriving around 5PM to get the ball rolling on dinner(yes, they are kid-friendly), but it was pretty quiet until that point. If you’re looking for a new day-drinking destination, Queen Anne Beerhall comes highly recommended.

Still disappointed with the service at this place. I should have known it was a bad omen when it took 2 phone calls and an email just to confirm a table reservation for several weeks in advance for a birthday celebration. I had phone calls back from two other beer halls the same day, whereas this place took about 10 days to confirm my reservation. I was so frustrated that I wanted to just go to one of the other options, but the rest of the party really wanted to go to QA. So after the scheduling fiasco, we actually arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation for 15 people. I had to chase down a server for assistance because there was no table reserved for us. They responded with, «oh yeah, we had difficulties with your reservation request…» I made it very clear that they needed to fix it as this was for a birthday celebration and I went through a hassle with them to make the reservation yet no one contacted me to indicate any issues. After waiting for several minutes, they solved the problem by kicking some people off one of the tables so that our group could have it. Another staff member then appeared with a sign that had my name and reservation time on it and put it on the table end. This really surprised me since they supposedly«misplaced» my reservation yet still had a reservation sign printed up. Anyway, we got settled in at our table and began ordering. Same experience as last time: great beer, cold food(except for the brats ordered at the cash only station), and slow service. The vibe is so cool in this place and I LOVE their beers, but they have lost my business after two seriously negative experiences. There are other beer halls in Seattle; I’ll be inviting my friends to those instead.

Love it here! Consider my recent trip to Germany, this place definitely reminded me of those famous beer halls. Some of the reviews commented on the service being slow but compare to the ones in Germany, I find the service extremely quick. Maybe that’s an unfair comparison being in different countries and all. One big difference is that giant butter covered pretzel. You can’t find that in Germany. You can smell that butter as it is coming out. It’s one of those must try items on the menu. Speaking of their menu, they cater to a little bit of everything. All the dishes I ordered tasted great so I don’t think you can do anything wrong if you order with an open heart. Also their craft cocktails are pretty delicious as well. This is pretty amazing, coming from a place that is known for serving beer. Definitely coming back here with big groups of friends. Tip: this place gets crowded fast so arrive early especially if you have a big groups of people or you will be walking around trying to find space. Or you can try making friends and beat that Seattle Freeze.

The food and atmosphere of the place is amazing, I’ll give them that. HOWEVER, both times I’ve been here the service was absolutely godawful terrible! Let me elaborate. The first time I visited was for a huge meetup. There were ~300 — 400 or so of us filling up the beer hall, walking around and mingling. Service was understandably slow — that’s fine, I understand. My food was a bit cold by the time it got to me, though it didn’t bother me too muh since the food was good. What really got me though was that I had half my dinner packed up in a box and it got thrown away while I was talking to the person next to me. Excuse me? No one came to sit next to me, it wasn’t in anyone’s way — they just threw it out without asking anyone around. I asked the waitress about my boxed food when I asked for the bill and she gave me a very dismissive sorry. Not even an offer of a discount the half of the meal that got thrown away, which was upsetting because I had a budget for the trip and that was to be my lunch for the following day. Despite that, I had a good enough opinion of the quality of food to come back again for a smaller group meetup again. This time we only had about 25 people at a table and the hall was not even crowded — only maybe about 5 other small groups of less than 4 here or there. And we received one of the worst service I’ve ever had. Sure the staff was friendly when they interacted with us — but getting their attention was IMPOSSIBLE. I asked for water from the beginning. 15 minutes later I still had no drink, and it took another 5 minutes to wave down someone and ask for water *Again*. Distribution of utensils and drinks was absolutely messy. Food took forever to come, the servers were confused as to who ordered what, some orders were done wrong, we all ordered at the same time and some people were done eating before food even arrived for others. My food was burnt on the bottom(picture included, though the unburnt parts were delicious). And of course at the end we waited 10 minutes to see if we could get someone’s attention to get the bill — nope. We had to walk up to a server at the register to tell her we wanted to pay. I’m giving 1 star for overall delicious food and 1 more for the awesome looking themed beer hall. But I will not be coming back if I can help it because of the ridiculously horrid service.

Queen Anne beerhall is a personal favorite among the coworkers and has become our #1 choice in happy hour setting ever since their opening. I’ve been going here pretty consistently in the past few months and happy to report that I have seen major improvements in their services and operations. In terms of business operations, it’s in a gigantic remodeled warehouse(formerly cotton caboodle) with wooden benches inside the hall. *think Oktoberfest style*. It’s fun and forces you to be social, although can get a little loud in the hall. The strangest aspect is that kids are allowed, but I guess they operate more as a restaurant than a bar. Food wise, I can’t say this is authentic German food, but still good nonetheless. I don’t care for their gigantic pretzel as it’s as bland as grass. However, all other food items are solid. If you want a bratwurst, then you have to order at the cash only bar.

A wide open barn style wooden ceiling beer hall — super cool inside with tons of farm tables holding a variety of ages drinking Czech and German style beers. Came on a Friday night around 7:30 and was able to grab a seat luckily as it was pretty busy. We tried the shaved Brussels sprouts salad(lacked a bit of flavor), the venison tartare(amazing), the pretzel(authentic), and the bratwurst w/fries(delicious). The menu is split between table service and walk up counter which is kind of confusing because the food comes out at the same place and you have to pay in cash for the walk up counter but can pay for everything else with a card. It’s a pretty robust menu and thought the quality of food was above average. Look forward to coming back!

After a 6 hour flight from Philadelphia and the excitement of this place from my brother, it fell short for me. I’ve been to beer halls before, in the cities and in Germany, so I have a broad view of what it should be like. I want to like this place more because of how awesome the atmosphere was. It wasn’t busy even for a Saturday night so I was surprised. I know this is new so I guess the flare has worn off a bit. We stood by the bar at the stand tables. The beer selection is huge and the food menu is pretty big, except that I don’t eat meat but for those who do– you have a wide ray of selections. We ordered the pretzel, twice. And I waited, and waited, and waited. After not eating and wanting to have a huge German pretzel, it fell short from what I’m used too. A little too greasy and I wasn’t impressed with the dips. The German IPA received high regards from the group so I recommend that. I think there are a ton of other places to try in the area so I’m not sure how I feel about going back. I’ve been to beer halls where they have games like Jenga, shuffle board, or other things so I wish they had some of that.

Came here about a week ago to check out with some friends as we had a decent sized group coming. It’s definitely worth it to come a little early to find a spot. It’s all community table seating except for the bar area. Great place for all, small or large. Its community table seating so that means, you are most definitely going to sit next to people you dont know. Unlike these 2 classy ladies that we attempted to sit next to that were trying to have a private conversation and not allow us to scoot in. After telling them what time it was and a little back & forth with a little TLC, we were finally«allowed» to sit down next to them. Ugh! Dumb. Anyways, as for the beerhall itself, it was great! Totally a place I would come back to. Server was quick to greet us after we sat, provided us some menus, told us about some beers and we kicked started the engines from there. Menu looked good, but the pretzels were a hit! They are pretty huge and good for sharing. Some of us got some sides, such as spaetzel that we picked at etc. If you want brats, weiners or any of that tubed meat, you have to go up to the grill area and pay for that separately. If ordering off the menu, the server can take care of that for you. A little strange, but whatever. The food we had was all very tasty and I plan to come back to try more & more! Beers were a flowing and service was great, nice atmosphere, giant screen tv to watch, and of course tasty foods and great beers… cant wait to come back again!

Easy peasy pretzels and cheesy! You want bier?! How about massive gigantic pretzels? Or some wurst?! A whole lot of wurst?! Serve your self! Let them serve you! Share your seats! Got it all! Definitely knew i was going to love this place as soon as I pulled in. Maybe the fact that I have just returned from the Oktoberfest Munich two days before coming here. Or maybe I just enjoy the casual atmosphere! Many maybes. But one thing for certain, they have my vote! Now, I don’t drink beer. And they do have a bar! And they have many delectable drinks. Queen Anne Mule was my favorite! But I was content with their food. Massive pretzels? Yes! Spatzels? Yes!! Beer list is quite extensive too. Came on a weekday and it was still pretty good in terms of crowd. The kitchen was closed my first time around but the grill was open so we had some wurst! Second time: we came very early in the evening and tried it all! Venison is divine! They had many at reasonable prices. Yumm! Looking forward to return with friends! Yumm Yumm fun!!!
