Super fast deliver… Great salad. Very good pizza. Good value. 2 Thumbs Up! Glad they are in my hood… Wish I discovered them sooner :) Keep up the good work Woodlands!

Really, Really good food. This place has the best spinach artichoke dip I’ve ever had. The service was decent, servers were very relaxed but still friendly and attentive. The space is pretty small, not very suitable for parties over 4. Serving sizes were perfect, pricing was relatively inexpensive(especially considering the outstanding quality of the food). Very beautiful rustic décor as well.

This place was really out of the way being in the middle of aurora, but i would say its worth the adventure. I came here for a small breakfast, to which they offered scrambles and sandwiches that were both affordable and delicious. i’ll probably be back another day to try the pizzas that they’re known for.

I had lunch/brunch again at Woodlands Pizza today. Ventured into the Breakfast Burrito. Wow. You can pick your own ingredients and I chose Bacon, Chorizo and Red Onions! Wow! It looks like they toast the food panini style and then the cut it for you. It is so easy to eat with your hands! Soooo so good! They now have two Meter/Parking vehicles in the parking lot for Pizza Delivery. Very clever! It’s hot outside here in Seattle today, but the food is great and it’s cool at Woodlands Pizza.

Based on some reviews we originally planned to get a pizza to go, but ended up staying for happy hour. It was a good value for a pizza and salad enough for two. Wide selection of beer and tasty pizza. Salad could have been a bit fresher. The service was great with enjoyable fun servers. We will come check out breakfast.

Absolutely delicious pizza. Real Italian style. However, the service was defiantly lacking due to us having a large party. I would suggest with a party of 8 or more, have 2 servers to make sure the process goes seamlessly. My wife’s pizza was missed. We were appreciative that it was taken off our bill. I’d defiantly go back for the pizza.

Why have a brick and mortar place if you’re just going to screw your walk-in diners and focus on delivery? Total bummer. Came here on a Thursday night. Place was busy, but not packed. Perfect scene for a family with a toddler and a baby, I thought. We ordered beers, a pizza, the arugula salad, and the roasted asparagus. Beers came quickly, but the salad was next and it took over thirty minutes. Pizza came out ten minutes later and was delicious, but small. We had to ask about the asparagus and when it arrived it was completely uncooked! They’d obviously forgotten about it and instead of admitting that and comping it, they tried to serve it up straight out of the fridge like it was what we’d ordered! We ate it because we were still starving and they wound up taking it off the tab after we confronted them about it, but come on! We weren’t the only table experiencing crazy delays and mixed up orders either. Total disappointment. With a million great pizza places to choose from in Phinney, Fremont, and Ballard, we will not be back. Cherry on top was the delivery kid zooming in the exit as we were trying to pull out, completely blocking our way and almost hitting us. The priority is obviously churning out as many pies as possible to make bank. Lame. UPDATE: The owner immediately reached out to me, sincerely apologized, and refunded me the cost of my meal. I believe her when she says they aren’t just about churning out pizzas. Seems like a few unexpected staffing issues tripped them up. Will revisit when we’re up that way!

This restaurant has, without a doubt, the BEST pizza in Seattle! We’ve been here several times, and the quality is always consistently wonderful. The pizzas, salads, sandwiches and burritos are absolutely delicious, and their selection of beers is varied enough to satisfy any palate. Trivia night on Mondays is lots of fun.

I had their forager pizza and it was very good. Also didn’t know this before but they fill growlers. They also do delivery on a Honda trail 70 which gets them bonus points. The only possibly better delivery vehicle would be a Ural.

All I can say is «WOW»!! I had them make me a 12″ pineapple and prosciutto pizza(w/mozzarella cheese) and it was DEEEE-LICIOUS! I don’t know what kind of cheese they use, but oh em gee, it was so good. This was the most heavenly twist on a Hawaiian pizza I have ever experienced. I am so glad I found this place! The crust was amazing, cooked(on stone?) and the crust was browned to absolute perfection. I just can’t say enough good about the food here. This was the most refreshing pizza experience I have had in a very long time. The wait staff was friendly and accomodating, the atmosphere was light and airy and a little bit rustic. Parking was limited, but oh, that pizza. I’m drooling just thinking about it!

I cannot wait to come here again. Their breakfast sandwich, «The Woodlands Sandwich» –my goodness. Just heaven on earth! I tried their coffee, have to be honest, not a huge fan, I’m kind of a starbucks-kind-a-lady, but anyways. Wow, just wow… I literally could come here everyday and eat their sandwich. Its the BEST!!!

Truly a nice find on this«slice» of Aurora, Woodlands Pizza and Public House. Singles, duos, groups, and families — all welcomed! Nice selection can be found on their menu: small plates, salads, sandwiches, and of well crafted(and tended by a cheerful pizziolo) pizzas. There’s also Happy Hour and breakfast too. We ordered a pizza with prosciutto, Mama Lil’s peppers, goat and mozzarella cheeses, with a nice tomato sauce base. Lots of ice water for me, and a locally made pomegranate cider. We’re backwards, and instead of dessert, discussed small plate options. Finally added a spinach and artichoke dip with toasted slices of ciabatta to wrap up our meal. We came in specifically to hear a band duo I stumbled upon earlier at Third Place Commons. They are playing a live set at Woodlands. major bonus! Great atmosphere, excellent music, pleasant wait staff, and decent food. A place where they let you linger, which in my usual hurried world is a big plus. First visit and worth returning to!

Just look at that garlic! It seriously just melts in your mouth… Loved everything about this place. The server was more knowledgable about beer than my beer-geek husband. Then entire place was spotlessly clean and service was super friendly and attentive. To top it all off, prices were very fair and reasonable. We will definitely be back again although I’d sure love to have my pizza delivered by a pinto or trail 70!

I wrote my review under a tip by accident and now I don’t know how to take it off and put it here. Basically their food is great. I have tried the sandwhiches, the salads, the smoothies, and the pizza. I cannot complain about any of them. The only thing I dislike is the atmosphere because it’s a little droopy for me. They need more lighting and more space.

I used to come here before it was woodlands and get breakfast burritos. Walked in, the woman behind the counter didn’t make eye contact, muttered something about being right with me, and I then stood at the counter for just under 15 minutes waiting. During this time she was in and out of the back, making drinks, and looking pretty stressed and scattered. I felt bad for her! After about 15 minutes of me standing at the counter, she looked at me again, shrugged and said she had some more smoothies to make and she was sorry. While I don’t necessarily hold her accountable for the entire experience, as it was obvious she needed help, this was one of the most mystifying experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I’d suggest getting some more staff. But in the meantime, take someone’s order so they can go sit down and not stand around wondering if they’re in the right place or if they’re ever going to get helped. This was pretty absurd. I will gladly adjust this review if I’m able to have a different experience in the future. I hate to write negatively about local businesses trying to make it, but I also think experiences like mine need attention called to them so improvements can take place. EDIT: Someone from Woodlands reached out to me and let me know that the staffer was new and that someone had also called out sick that day. I saw it fit to adjust to 3 stars from 1. Pending a return visit I may add back even more!

This place is my new favorite. It’s owned by a couple who are darlings. Staff is friendly. Full bar! The food is fantastic and a great price. The breakfasts here are outstanding the freshly made croissants worked great for the end of the turkey trot breakfast potluck. Bring your family tell your friends and pick me up on the way!

Ray: Last Thursday’s get-together with Josh was really cool for me because I got an early jump out of work due to a canceled meeting, so I got so spend a couple more hours hanging out with Josh, which is always a plus! We decided to go for pizza at this place called Woodlands Pizza. Their claim to fame is wood fired pizza. Sounded great to me! We have had rock-star parking before, but this time Josh managed to part right next to the front door. I know, right? Me too! The establishment was quite nice on the inside. It was larger than it looked like from outside. There was a bar, and then a larger dining room along side. We usually go for the dining room when we have a choice, sort of makes for a better review, but the bar looked so comfortable, we just elected to stay there. Our waitress, it turns out, was raised if Freemont, a true homegrown local girl. She knew the menu very well and advised us on our choices. While sipping my Manny’s Pale Ale, I elected to go for the garlic chicken. It did take a few minutes for the pizza to arrive, but it was truly delicious. I had a 12″ pizza, which was just a little bit too much for me to eat. I had two slices left, so I pizza raided them, took the good stuff and just ate that part… yum. I really liked Woodlands Pizza and would not hesitate going back there. I am going with four stars on this one. Give them a try! Josh: This Thursday we headed north on 99 about 37 blocks to Woodlands Pizza. I drove past this place earlier that day and thought it looked worth checking out. They have a small parking lot around the side of the place where there was still plenty of parking. We walked in to a nearly empty dining room(because of our earlier-then-normal dinner time) and found a booth straight away. The inside is nice looking, kind of an industrial-modern look to it, lots of wood and iron. The very friendly server made her way to our table to take the drink orders, I went with a Fremont brewing seasonal ale that was as delicious as I’ve come to expect from Fremont Brewing. The food menu is dominated by the pizza selections, and everything looks pretty damn good. I ended up going with the spicy Hawaiian even though I had my eye on that Prosciutto pizza. I’ll definitely have to come back. It didn’t take as long as I was expecting, pizza usually seems like a lengthy process, but apparently not at Woodlands. Everything looked really great, and had the taste to match. This is some seriously delicious pizza, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back, or to recommend them to anyone looking to treat themselves right. easy 5 stars.

This place used to be the Boardroom which was a hip little coffee shop with excellent breakfast foods, incredible coffee, and it’s the best spot for an Elvis smoothie which has banana, peanut butter and chocolate. It’s relatively healthy but mainly it’s just tasty. Anyway, they took the building space next door, gutted it out and turned into Woodlands where they have all of the original items and now they make really good wood fired pizza for a reasonable price. They have a great menu and you can call you’re order in ahead of time!

Stopped in for lunch on a Monday with my husband. We both agreed, The Woodlands is a very interesting restaurant. The place is cute and the staff was friendly, but something felt off. Slightly unorganized and the operation as a whole did not seem to have direction. The food was slightly overpriced for the quality but was eatable and filling. I can’t complain about the food, but cannot imagine any reason why I would go back. 1 recommendation– consider adding a lunch special

The service was a little slow, but this place is pretty new and I’m sure it will only get better. Rating mostly for ambiance, food, and location. Woodlands has a great beer list and two ciders. Beefing up cider choices would be nice, even in the can/bottle. I went with a pomegranate cider, which was delicious. Also tried the margarita– a little weak, but good flavor. They dont seem to have a happy hour, which I considered taking a star off for. HH should be a requirement. The pizza should be and is the star of the show here. I’m notoriously picky, so usually in fancy pizza joints I can find maybe one specialty pie that doesn’t require 15 modifications before I will consider eating it. You also don’t see a ton of variety– pesto version, BBQ chicken version, etc. Woodlands seems to have a much more unique approach with slightly fewer ingredients per specialty pie, so they are slightly more affordable and allow picky eaters like me more options. Yay! We ordered a cheese and the arugula, prosciutto pizza with balsamic reduction. It was delicious, and they both came out promptly. There are two tables that seat 5 – 6 comfortably on the outside patio, which was very nice on a hot summer day. Edited to add: I got a message from someone(presumably an employee?) letting me know they DO have a happy hour from 3 – 6 daily. Will be back for that!

My boyfriend and I really wanted to like this place. We live nearby and came in to pick up breakfast to go before heading out of town. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos…30 minutes later, still no burritos. We noticed other people who had arrived before us didn’t have their breakfast either. When I approached the cashier, he asked if I was«back for more?». I explained we had been waiting a half hour for our to-go order. He checked with the kitchen, returned with shrugged shoulders and informed me it would be another 10 minutes because there were other orders in front of ours. No offer of coffee or even water while we continued to wait. On a Friday morning at 10am, the restaurant was hardly busy. The food is fine, but nothing special and definitely not worth a 40 minute wait.

I’ve been here a few times in the past month, and I must say – I’m a fan! My first time was for coffee – they serve Stumptown. I had the coldbrew, and it was delicious. My second time there was for lunch – we shared a couple of pizzas and had Arnold Palmers to drink. We did the Zoe’s Pepperoni and the Garlic Chicken. They were both great – it was just about the perfect amount of food for three hungry people. My third time was for dinner – drinks and pizza. Went with the Zoe’s Pepperoni again, and my friends shared the Meatballs appetizer – it looked delicious. My ONLY qualm with this place so far – is that sometimes it’s a little hard to tell when you should order at the counter, or if it’s full service. It seems like in the evening, it’s *kind of* full service, if you sit down and wait – but during the day you order at the counter. Service has been good so far, though! Looking forward to making this place a regular haunt!

This was our first dinner stop here in Seattle and it did not disappoint. Our server was phenomenal, I didn’t catch her name, but absolutely sweet as could be, and was never pushy or trying to get us out the door. I love when servers can tell you’re relaxing and give you a chance to breathe! Especially with my dad who was sore from a long drive. The food and beer was great. We got a «Chop Chop» salad and the happy hour pepperoni pizza for dinner. Pizza was delish and the balsamic on the salad had a nice zing to it! We finished with their homemade coconut lime ice cream with mango sauce. Amazing!

Really good pizza– we tried the meatball and veggie. Chill atmosphere and great beers on tap. You can bring your puppy in too. I am almost afraid to write this glowing review as this is so close to my place and we want the chill atmosphere to be retained. :) But these guys are good and I wanted to get the word out!

This is one of those times when an expansion may be a bad thing. The Boardroom Café offered fantastic drinks, a fun family owned feel and great basic comfort foods. Now it is Woodlands Pizza and it has a corporate feel and no real small business feel to it. The staff seem to still be learning the new format– a bit unorganized and that they do not know who has helped who. My pizza was served with black edges and in some areas a black bottom– clearly burnt. I did not have time to wait for another when it was delivered so decided to just eat it anyways. It was very disappointing. There was very little chicken on it(it was a cheese and chicken only pizza) and the areas that had the chicken had lots with other area very light. The cheese was a darker brown color giving it. A slightly rubbery taste(over cooked). Eating half the pizza with most of the crust left on the plate I decided it just was not worth it. I asked for a to go box to leave still a bit hungry. I commented to the cashier about if the old menu was still an option which she advised it was. I let her know I was glad to here that as the pizza I would not order again. She looked at what was left and realized it was burnt and said it should be a golden brown with black possible in small areas but not solid black as it was. she apologized this was served and refunded the payment. When looking at the photos posted from the business the pizzas look incredible. I was hoping for this but will likely still just stick with MOD pizza in the future. Another annoyance is that water is served in very small glasses without ice. Especially on a very hot day it would be nice to at least have a pint sized water glass. My favorite coffee shop on Aurora is no more and sadly I do not think I will be back– the positive vibe they once had is gone. I am sure the business will do good though just based on beer sales though…

I have been anxiously waiting the opening day for a few months. The interior atmosphere is lovely, although they are still under what I consider to be a «soft-opening» since the old Boardroom café is being demolished to make way for a larger more approachable space. From what I have heard, it’s the Boardroom café in the morning and The Woodlands pizza at night. The currently under repair side of the building will soon be a bar side, with outdoor seating, something that I hope to take advantage of during the summer. The Woodlands pizza is a classic style wood fire grill personal 10−12″(ish) pizza. As a vegetarian I have already customized three pizzas which they have been more than happy to oblige. The red sauce, that I had upon my first visit was amazing, just the right amount of tomato and spice. They don’t go crazy with cheese(a definite plus) and the dough tastes delicious, and I am sucker for that crispy fire grilled taste. The Woodlands has a lot to offer when it comes to pizza and flavor, plus a great rotating beer selection. The service is by far one of the friendliest; they are really striving to gather as much feedback as possible, while trying to keep up with local faces. They have put forth a good effort, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Overall a solid four star review, and once The Woodlands is complete, a revised Unilocal post will be necessary.

Legit wood-fired pizza has a new home on Aurora connected with Boardroom Café. Might just be the best pizza in North Seattle right out the gate, around 9−10″ each for a decent price. Anxious even writing a review in fear of blowing this place up, I’m giving a conservative 4 star because they are still in the process of opening the new space. Food and service are already on point. Anticipation has been high and now that The Woodlands is open, Boardroom is getting renovated to add a bar and patio. You can still get the great coffee shop fare you’ve come to expect at Boardroom from the counter at Woodlands, but the space is absolutely still in development.
