My boyfriend and I came to Seattle during my spring break(we’re from California) and I found a deal for this place on Groupon. The deal wasn’t that clear so we had some issues when it came to paying the bill at the end… but it was resolved and explained to me in a professional manner, so I’m ok with that. It’s worth noting that even with the Groupon, we still paid more than what I was expecting — & we’ve dined at Brazilian steakhouses before. Not sure if this is a chain because I also dined at a Brazilian steakhouse in the Dominican Republic called Ipanema, but I have to say that my experience + the food was a lot better across the country :(The food here was good enough for me although I do wish there was more variety on the night I came; however, I love me some AYCE(all you can eat) meat and this place will get you full if you come on a night where the servers do their job & come by with the meats. I had to waive servers down because my plate was empty for most of the night. Food: 3 stars; Service: 2.5 stars; Ambiance: 4 stars

Tried for the first time with family yesterday and we basically starved ourselves the whole day to look forward to this. We are avid fans of Brazilian bbq and know our selections very well. Service was ok, could be better, 2 of the meat servers seemed pissed every time they came by so it didn’t make a great visit. Also they seems to rush us since when we checked in they asked how long we will stay since they were expecting a large party coming.(so much for a welcome Invite!) The meats were mostly rare to medium rare. If you have kids they are mostly not into that so it became difficult for them to eat since they didn’t come back a lot. I found the meats to be ok but not ones that were impressively tasteful and well cooked as other Brazilian bbq’s. It felt like some meats were just heated up from lunch time… and when they came to our table most meats were always rare . Cheese bread was also very different from what we are use too. I did enjoy the salad bar. Lots of various choices. Grilled shrimp was also excellent but it never came back after one serving! I kept looking for it for abt 30 minutes but all servers kept coming back with same meats. Chicken was also dry and overcooked. In my honest opinion of you really want some great service and awesome Meats, sizzling crispy chicken fresh cheese breads, from a quality perspective, and not overpriced just go to Novilhos! Nothing in Seattle compares hands down! I think here at ipanema you are paying for the view. I couldn’t believe I paid that much for dinner! My kids were so disappointed they wanted to go to Novilhos after… lol

We had a 7:45 pm reservation here on a Sunday night. The reason we chose to dine here was the Groupon deal. I was on the fence for a long time after reading the reviews on Unilocal about purchasing the coupon but I finally decided to go ahead with it and I’m glad I did! We arrived on time and were seated immediately. It didn’t take longer than 2 minutes for somebody to place the water bottle and glasses on our table and 5 minutes after this, our server attended to us and explained how the rodizio dinner system works. We hit the salad bar, which had somewhat limited selection compared to another rodizio dinner I had before, and when we got back to our table we turned our card green. The meat arrived almost instantaneously. All in all I believe we had 9 – 10 different types of meat and we immensely enjoyed every single one of them except for one which was a little chewy. The filet mignon, the rib eye, the cheese steak were all delicious. We had to wait for like 5 – 10 minutes to get our server’s attention at the end of the dinner but that is totally acceptable for us. My only criticism here is the limited selection of the salad bar and the standard price of $ 52 being too high. Yes the meat is really good but you have to have a really big appetite to feel like you got your money’s worth.

when i walked into this space, it was vaguely familar. fandango? the christine keff place? it was big and open, with a view. seems to cater to a lot of people from out of town, but it was pretty busy. i walked in and was seated promptly. staff was pretty quick to me and given past reviews, i was a bit worried about that. the salad bar was pretty weak, i thought. the selections weren’t items that were going to make me fill up on them, which is usually where i go wrong. i just ended up with some potatoes and veggies, so i couldhave protein overload. the meats… loved the ribeye and the lamb. some of the pork was super salty and dried out, so i only made one run there. the staff cycled around so we weren’t waiting much. i thought it was paced pretty well. we closed with a cup of coffee, which was luke warm and not good. not sure what happened there, but some of the beverages seemed like an afterthought. this isn’t something i would do all the time, but it was okay.

Fantastic restaurant! Come prepared to EAT. It’s pricey, however, completely worth it. You’ll want to keep your portions small as there is so much to try and I recommend ALL of it. 17 different meats to try, including grilled shrimp. A bunch of different salads. The cheese bread is simply delicious. It was hard to leave…

I really used to love this place but it has gone downhill. They used to have awesome cheese bread but they changed it a few months ago. The first time we had it after the changed it was undercooked with crumbly cheese in the middle. Yesterday it was a bit better but not by much. For the meat, aka the real reason to come here. It just wasn’t good. We were sat in one of the middle tables(not along the edges) and we were rarely visited by the meat men and when we were we were offered really overcooked medium steak. I asked our waitress twice(after waiting about 10 minutes in between skewers being brought to us) about why the meat wasn’t coming and after the second time I think she said something. We saw the filet go by us 2 times without being offered any. We saw the cheese steak start off as this beautiful rare meat but they finished it before we were offered any. The ribeye we were offered was medium well, the sirloin was medium well… We wanted rare and we told the waitress and the meat men this. We really never got any. I left hungry because I was so sick of being ignored and not being offered meat. Go to the novilihos in factoria(not SLU, they’re better than ipanema but Factoria is the best). It’s way better. The meat is good, the salad bar is better, the sides are better, and the service is better.

We came here with a reservation. We waited. Our entire party was in attendance. We waited. We watched people leave. We waited. Half hour after our reservation, we got seated. I don’t come to places like this for the meat, I come for the good company of my friends. I don’t eat most of the meat that comes around, I go to the salad bar and once in a while I have some meat like lamb. They say there are 17 different varieties of meat that come around. Our table got maybe 8 and that is because we started making requests. We asked for lamb, three times. They finally brought it out over 30 minutes later. They did have shrimp that was coming around, I asked for a few extra pieces since I tried only 2 other meats, he gave me 2 and left. My salad, a round of drinks, 2 shrimp and lamb piece cost me $ 100. Would I complain if everyone enjoyed themselves? No. I am irritated because our entire party was disappointed with the meat. They were disappointed in the small selection and the bad quality of the few meats that did come around.

Absolutely DEEELICIOUS. Come hungry and prepared to eat because there is a TON of food. You absolutely must get their all you can eat option. That is the only way to get the full Brazilian steak house experience. The lamb and bison were sooo good! You can ask the guy with the skewer to cut you a piece of how you like your meat. For example on the steak you can say«well done please.» If you don’t say anything, I believe the default is basically a medium well. The salad bar is fresh and there are tons of options. Salads and fruits and chicken salads. Soups, olives and pickles and various sides. Please PLEASE get the passion fruit tiramisu desert. Absolutely DIVINE!!! It was like a slice of heaven on our plates. This place is pretty pricey so check Groupon! They usually always have a deal posted there! What normally would have been 120 $ meal we spent 40 $ at the restaurant and I believe 50 on the groupon? It was worth it…

I may have been a lucky man. Maybe all of my rodizio experiences were exemplary and this place was really good. But. I am not a lucky man. I have had some good brazilian steakhouse food in the Newark area of NJ and in Rio. This place is not that good. The service was fine. the waiters were quite attentive with bringing out skewers of meat — and at an OK variety. the quality was OK and the salad bar was modest in size and quality. not going to say much more. There are many more interesting choices in Belltown and south of the restaurant. I would scurry on and satisfy your meat cravings at the Brooklyn or Lola.

Yesterday was my 3rd time eating here. It’s definitely a place I need to have a craving for in order to go in because the rodizio dinner is $ 52 each person. I mean, it is worth it once in a while. 4 stars bc the service was a bit slow from the start. It took a bit for us to be greeted, to get our drink order, and to get the check. Our waiter only checked on us once and the restaurant wasn’t packed. To start, the waiter explains how it works. The brazilian steakhouse has a variety of rotisserie meats and a salad bar. We are given a coaster, one side green, the other side red. When we have it on green, that means the person with a rotisserie meat stops and gives us a slice. Red means we need a break from all the meat and to stay away. After 10 different meats, I lost count. I love all the different choices. Also, love that there’s a bottle of water on the table so I don’t always have to ask for a refill. As much as I love the steaks, the best slice was a PINEAPPLE topped with cinnamon sugar. My gf surprised me with dessert at the end for my bday. Chocolate lava cake with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Another cool thing, our waiter said the dessert was on the house.

My husband and I were excited to try this place out. We had been to Fogo de Chao a couple months ago, and we still can’t stop raving about the quality of the food they served. This was not going to be one of those nights however. We had reservations at 6:30pm on a Friday — a lot earlier than we normally eat, but we figured we should eat earlier rather than sit around late at night with uncomfortable stomachs. We were seated right away in a somewhat empty room, and it took a solid 5 minutes to get our card and waters. I flipped it to green soon after, and neither of us bothered with the salad bar(nothing looked terribly appetizing anyways). About 5 minutes later they came around every couple minutes with a few selections. After stopping once for a break and then deciding to go ahead and flip it back to green to finish out the night, we rarely had anyone come by. Only once did the server with the filet mignon come by(then he stuck to the outer tables), and even after trying to flag down the guy carrying the bacon wrapped steak we didn’t have any luck. The servers seemed to not be paying much attention. Our actual server only came by twice(I think she was our server? I have no idea. She never said anything to us.), and no one was overly pleasant. The meat we did get was pretty underwhelming. The peppered steak was flavorful, and the filet melted in my mouth, but everything else had the exact same taste to it — bland and unseasoned. For the price they charge I would expect to get something better than what we got, and I see no real reason to go back again.

My boyfriend and I had been excited to go here for quite some time. Tonight, we both had appetites large enough to handle the impending heap of meat we expected to eat. I got us a reservation at 8:00PM on Sunday 5÷1÷16. We were a few minutes early and were seated in the back of the restaurant. We sat at our table watching server after server go to every table BUT ours with delicious looking food. Unfortunately, in the 10 minutes we were there, none of it came to our table. We left and had a fantastic meal at Local 360 a block down. Terrible service and got completely ignored in a place that expects $ 50 a person. No thank you. Steve Clifford

This is our very favorite place in Seattle to eat dinner. We come here on date night and also bring treasured friends. Everything is perfect, every time. If you’ve never had Brazilian rodizio, this is the première spot in Seattle. The Gauchos(Kevin is my favorite) bring freshly cooked meats by your table and carve them right there for you(chicken, lamb, bison, sausages, shrimp, and all kinds of beef… but especially the pichaña!!!). The salad bar is divine. If you leave here hungry, it is your own fault. There’s also a very full menu for those that don’t want rodizio but I haven’t tried it because the rodizio is so good(see happy hour remarks). The décor is elegant tropical and nicely(and romantically lit), the music just right. The staff is very professional and friendly. Weekend nights there is often live music. You must also try a caipirinha cocktail… cane sugar, lots of fresh muddled limes and cachaca rum(which is made from cane juice instead of molasses). It’s refreshing and delightful without being cloying or biting. If it’s a weekend dinner, I strongly suggest a reservation! Sometimes you’re just not in the mood for a big dinner… then you need to come here for the Monday through Friday happy hour. I normally do not enjoy happy hour but I love it here. The food is off a menu, and this is where I’ve gotten a chance to explore more Brazilian food. Seriously, what a treat! Do yourself, your belly, and your friends a favor and come here to celebrate for any reason! Ask Alberto(who ALWAYS takes care of his customers like they’re family) to make you the«special caipirinha»!

Meat lovers would love this place. In the beginning you’ll keep looking around to see when the meat will come, but 15 min in you’ll realize the meat is coming around faster than you can eat it. Take a break if you’re starting to feel full! Or else you’re definitely going to get a stomach ache by the end of the night. FOOD: Salad Bar + Meat There is an unlimited salad bar which has rice, roast meat, mashed potatoes, garlic bread, salads(caesar, asian bokchoy), fruits, cheese, salami. And the bulk of the meat you’ll eat is from the servers walking around. We wanted to try as much as possible so every time a server came around we would each get a serving of meat. Pro tip: share your food! If we were to go back, we would definitely share our meat servings between 2 or 3 people so we would be able to try more meat. The meats we had: Ribeye, Sirloin, Pork Sausage, Pork Ribs, Garlic Steak, Chicken, Peppered steak. Two other dishes you can order(included in the bill) are Cheese Bread + Fried Bananas and Grilled Pineapple Seasoned with Cinnamon. Both are great mini-desserts to offset the taste of all the meat. They also have desserts(apple pie, chocolate parfait, pineapple, egg puff/cake from what it looks like) on display that you can order for extra charge. However, you’d probably be super stuffed from all the meat that you wouldn’t be able to order anything after the meal. SERVICE: Who was our server? The whole night I found myself asking who are server was. From when we got seated, we saw who I think was our server a total of 3 times, with 0 communication. Every time she came over she had her head down as if she was too busy to talk. The first 2 times she came to our table she slammed our water glasses onto the table. 20 minutes after getting seated, a manager came by to pour more water(and noticed we didn’t have the red/green circle yet). The manager seemed surprised that no one has talked to us yet especially since it was our first time dining at the restaurant(aka don’t know how the red/green system works) and promised to send our server. Yet, still didn’t see our server until the end of the night, when she was clearing up all our plates while we were still waiting for another manager to get our bill. I was super confused why she couldn’t wait 5 minutes until we left to clear the table(we left 45 min before closing time so there’s no way there are other customers waiting for a table). SEATING: cozy, nice view We got seated by the window so we had a nice view of the sunset. Yet the table next to us seemed a lot closer to us than necessary. How the servers maneuvered around the tight spaces between tables was beyond me. However since the servers had to «twist and turn» to pass through certain narrow spaces, they often passed by our table with their backs turned against us, so we didn’t get served certain meats we wanted to try. Half of my party was comparing it to Novilhos throughout the night, if I were to do it over, I would prefer to go there. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself coming back here again.

If you like meat you need to come to this place. That’s what it’s all about. Starting off even on a Wednesday night it was busy so it’s best to make reservations. We also had a Groupon which helped because it is expensive. For dinner it was $ 50 per person for the whole experience and $ 30 for just the salad bar. There are quite a few tables and a nice view of downtown and the water. The kitchen is open and you can see all of the delicious meats cooking. There’s also a bar area right at the front of the restaurant. The cocktails were great. I had a strawberry lemon drop but tried the Moscow mule and old fashion. All of them were excellent. The meal starts with the salad bar where you will find so many options and as many trips as you want. There’s a small hot food area of rice, potatoes, and brisket but also a bunch of fresh salads like chicken, potato, pasta and fresh fruits. Really good cold cuts and cheese selection too. At the table you have a card that red on one side and green on the other. Green means go and red means stop. Just flip the card and the servers will keep bringing delicious meat to your table every few minutes. There were so many selections and everything was great. We all tried rib eye, tri tip, pepper steak, grilled pineapple with cinnamon and sugar, parmesan pork(my favorite), bison, lamb, and ribs. I’m sure there were more too. You get a little of each and get to try everything. It all had really good flavor, cooked perfectly, and was awesome. We also all shared the berry parfait which was a light sweet way to finish off the meal. Highly recommend!

Coming from Miami where my favorite Brazilian restaurant is Area Code 55, I didn’t expect this restaurant to come close to that quality and I was right. This restaurant is located in a very nice and cute neighborhood just outside the main area. The view in the back is absolutely stunning and I highly recommend it during sunset hours. I was alone so I decided to sit in the bar which was fine. The food was decent, but some other things bothered me a little bit. Their cheese bread was a complete let down, half the size as all the places in Miami make and they also offer only one slice of plantain. What I enjoyed most about this restaurant was that they offered ribeye as one of their meats. There are pecan was also very good as I enjoy it more on the rear side. The price however was also quite steep, charging $ 50 per person not including tax or gratuity. It definitely wasn’t worth that money however if you’re out in Seattle and you lack a strong resilient presence, then this restaurant will make you feel at home. The bartender who was American was very polite and I enjoyed his service. If I traveled this way again, I definitely won’t be coming back here because I know how much better the Miami restaurants are and I’ll just be patient and wait until I get back home.

Mmmmmmmm MEAT! Salad and fruit bar was filled with colorful, flavorful and yummy items to go along with the meat coming around to you. That is included with your rodizio! I’m gonna be honest and say if I didn’t have a groupon, I wouldn’t have gone. It’s pricey $ 50 per person! But you get unlimited meat, fruits, salad, and experience the wonderful place! Goooooo try it outs!

Had my birthday party here. Service was accommodating with late arrival and adjustment times with our reservation. It’s fast past I felt like everything just kept coming without me really enjoying or knowing what I was eating. Peppered steak and grilled pineapple were a hit. The filet mignon was tender and delicious. I never got a chance to check out the salad bar. You defiantly get your iron and your steak craving. It’s was a fun experience I would like to come again.

I went here for my birthday and my partner and I pleasantly had a great evening. PROTIP: Please make a reservation! This place gets packed! Unfortunately, we arrived early for our reservation and couldn’t get an earlier time slot. All the meats were delicious. The salad bar was decent, but nothing to go home about. The waitress was super friendly as well, which made this experience awesome. She was super knowledgable about the different cuts of meat and recommended great wine bottles for us. Unfortunately, I’m taking a star off for the meat runners. My table was skipped a few times for the Picanha meat, which was very frustrating and by the time they came near us, they ran out. We told our waiteress and we didn’t get a serving until 30 minutes later, which was after we were already too full. If you’re going to this place, make sure to check Groupon! They have great deals for this place!

WE were sadly dissapointed at this establishment. We have gone to other Brazillian places and this has been among the worst. We were concerned about the food safety of the salad bar becuse there was no apparant chilling of the cold items. no ice or anything. Many of the dips/sauces had dried out around the edges. All of the hot items were in a cruddy warmer… along the lines of a Golden Corral. Everything looked limp and dead. NOT Appetizing The names of everything, while helpful, were hand written out on 3×5 cards and not in any way that you would expect for $ 60 a plate. None of the items at the salad bar were all that appealing anyways. again, worried about food safety. The person in charge of bringing stuff out to the salad bar came out with a plastic tote and spoon in hand and slopped more food in the tray. I would think in a place supposed to be up scale and that you are paying SIXTY dollars a plate for, they would take the food back, and re-plate the food and bring it back. Again, the care of the food was along the lines of a Golden Corral. The items brought to the table were served in a pathetic manner. Like another review said, dried out probably frozen at one time. Though the bananas tasted good, they still looked so sad… eating starts with your eyes and if it looks bad. you really dont want to eat it. Service was mediocre. Again, paying this much per plate we should not have to fill our own glasses. or have to wave someone down to take the dirty plates away. I will say the meat was cooked well and was flavorful. Though I think only 4 or 5 cuts were being served that night. everything looked kind of the same. The best part of dinner was the Flan, it was delicious.

Came here to celebrate with my boyfriend. Our reservation was made for 5:30 pm and there weren’t many people in the restaurant so it was nice and quiet. There is a salad buffet right as you enter the building and we came early enough to be seated by the windows, although by then it was too dark to really get a view of the lake. Our waiter, Connor, was very polite and from the start asked us to save room for the dessert he was going to serve us for our anniversary, which was on the house. The meat selection was plentiful and varied, but some meats were too tough and/or too salty for our taste. The grilled pineapple, though not a meat, was delicious and one of our favorites. Overall this is a good place to experience Rodizio style dining and is very clean as well. Would suggest coming in earlier on a weekday to beat the 6−7pm dinner rush.

Was the best dinner we’ve had in a long time! Awesome experience! Only suggestion would be to have the grilled vegetables like asparagus and zucchini heated instead of on ice in the salad bar. But besides that we loved it and will deffinetly go back!

I love going to Brazlian steakhouses. Who doesn’t like getting meat sweats? Haha :) We originally had a reservation somewhere else, but my boyfriend has never been to a Brazlian steakhouse so I figured why not. It’s $ 50 per person to partake in an endless train of different meats. All aboard!!! Most of the meats were very tasty. My favorite was the peppered steak. YUM. Another delicious choice is the turkey wrapped in bacon. I mean come on anything wrapped in bacon is going to be delicious. Right?!? I think there were only two meats that I thought were dry and a little bland. Other than that everything was great. The salad bar has a lot of different choices for you as well. There’s a variety of fruits, vegetables, and salad combinations. Yay a garden of goodness. We also had a couple of different caipirinhas. This is a traditional Brazilian drink prepared with cachaca. A must have if you’re at a Brazlian restaurant. My favorite was the kiwi flavored one. I’ve been craving another one for days now! I highly recommend this cocktail. It’s strong and refreshing. Everything seems great right??? Why the two star rating you ask??? One word the SERVICE! I’m not sure what his name was and honestly I wouldn’t throw anyone under the bus anyway. I think that management should address everyone on this situation. He really had no personality and was just an order taker. We had to flag him down when we wanted another cocktail and our salad bar plates sat at the end of the table for over 15 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. I even had to wave him down because I wanted to see the dessert cart. Okay that’s fine, but here’s where the issue comes in. From my understanding TIPS is an acronym: To Insure Proper Service or To Insure Promt Service. We ended up leaving a 15% tip. I didn’t think the service was up to par and therefore deserved a 20% tip. My server disagreed however. I told my boyfriend that I had to use the bathroom so he waited for me outside. I’m assuming our server didn’t see him because the server began to complain about his tip. Saying such things as he didn’t even get 20%. My boyfriend told me this as we were leaving the restaurant and I became very upset. We work very hard for our money and I’m sorry that you feel just because we sat in your section that you are entitled to a 20% tip. If that’s the case then provide the service that we deserve as well. I wanted to go back and confront the ungrateful person and tell management. Lucky for him my boyfriend calmed me down and said it wasn’t worth it. Although the food is tasty this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I would stay away unless you plan on just leaving a 20% tip as soon as you sit down. If you’re in the mood for an endless train of meats it’s my understanding that Novilhos Brazlian Steakhouse is where it’s at. Some locals had informed me about this information after I told them about the terrible experience I had at this establishment. I will never be back!

The only negative thing that I can mention is that the price per person here is really steep. At about roughly 50 bucks a person to start it can get pretty pricey pretty fast here. Now that is the price with no wine or any other alcoholic beverage but at the same time you definitely get what you pay for. They have waiters constatntly streaming from table to table asking you if you would like to try the specific meat that they are carrying! After a while as I slowed down the pace at which they were travelling got pretty overwhelming. Would not recommend coming here unless you are a big time meat eater. The restaurant is nice and clean and very fancy on the inside and the setting is very nice. The roasted Pineapple with Cinnamon dashed on it is literally the best Pineapple I have ever had so I highly recommend that everyone tries that out for sure! I would come back and dine here so it is definitely worth trying at least once!

Edit 1÷21÷16 — I was contacted by the GM of Ipanema a day or two after posting this review. And after careful consideration, I do feel that I was a bit too harsh. I’m not changing my rating, and I wasn’t offered anything, I just feel some of my wording was a little much. I’m hoping that Ipanema makes a few changes and gets the staff it needs to get back to their roots. Below is where my original review starts– I’m not sure what happened to Ipamena, but the traditional Brazilian feel it had is gone. A few years ago my wife(she’s Brazilian) and I went there for lunch while in Sea-town for Brazilian Day, we went another time a couple months later. They had this great salad bar spread, lots of fresh fruit, your typical brazilian fare — feijoada, farofa, maionaise(Sp?), etc… Not only that, but the churrasco was delicious, the meat was tender and perfectly flavored, they ran their grills with real lump charcoal, not gas, it was incredible. It was definitely the best Churrasco I’ve had in the States. So we’ve been talking about going back for years, and just haven’t made it up there in a long time. So we were in town for NYE, and on New years day we decided to re-kindle our love affair with Ipanema… Not even sure where to begin, the restaurant moved like a block or so down to a new place, no big deal. However the only thing they have anymore that is really Brazilian is the meat(and I wouldn’t even know if it’s good because we got up and left once we saw how much it has changed. The whole salad bar thing is a joke, the farofa was the worst I’ve ever tasted, it was super stale, there were bascially zero brazilian items in the salad bar area. Maybe some ingredients/supplies are harder to come by or have increased a lot in price, and rather than adapt and raise their prices a little bit Ipanema said forget it, we’ll just serve caesar salad and mixed greens with raspberry vinaigrette. We decided to hit up the new spot in South Lake Union, Novilhos… Novilhos was very good, and they had a whole spread of Brazilian sides and salads, like 95% of it was legit Brazilian… TR:DR — Ipanema has changed so much from the last time we went, there are very few traditional brazilian sides. I didn’t stay to try the meat because I couldn’t believe how stale the farofa was, we went to the new Brazilian spot that opened up on South Lake Union. Supposedly Ipanema is going through some changes and hopefully they can improve.

My hope is that the good people of Seattle who have given this place good reviews, were simply ignorant of what a real Brazilian churascaria experience should be like. For one thing, the cheese bread should be fresh and plentiful, not a single frozen item for each guest. The service should be eager to please, rather than unobliging when one in the party wants their meat medium-well. They brought no polenta or mashed potatoes. The salad bar was mediocre and had lasagna for some reason. I hope that the locals will get a Fogo de Chao one day. It would be nice if they could experience the real deal.

Excellent food accompanied by excellent service. The staff came by the table at a good pace and delivered wonderful, succulent pieces of meat. Alberto makes sure to take care of you. One can not go wrong here. Stop in and enjoy a fantastic meal!

They say they serve 17 kind of different meet but not really. Only 7 to 9 kind of meet comes round they dont have buffalo or lion steak. Mostly they serve pork, pork with cheese, pork with galic, pork sausage and cheep stuff. Also you can’t customize your meet so sometime you get bloody meet and some times its was too salty. They do have salad bar which my gf liked(included in $ 50). But overall if you think about it. You can get pretty good quality steak and get you full on other fancy restaurant for $ 125(two of us+tax +tip). If you want to pay expansive money for vast amount of cheep stuff it’s your best place

I try to make ot here at least once a week. They have one of the best happy hours in Belltown. Half off perfectly cooked Brazilian meats… you just cant go wrong. Alberto makes the best drinks and always hooks us up with beans and rice(like family). I can’t express how great this place is.

$ 50 gets you an epic dinner, with 17 kinds of meat — served non-stop. The garlic steak was so moist and melted in your mouth. The cheese steak was dripping with gorgonzola. The buffalo was especially crispy around the edges and delicious in a slightly gamey way.

Hubby and I came here for lunch this past Sunday and got seated at 11am with a reservation. This place sure did fill up fast though so I’m glad we had one. We did the lunch rodizio which included the salad bar. I loved the options at the salad bar. The dirty rice was yum and all the salads were pretty good. The meats that they had on rotation were pretty good but they don’t have filet mignon during lunch. Not that I expected it for $ 30 a person. At times the meats were really good and at times they weren’t. For instance, the first round of garlic steak we had was so tender and delicious and then the second round of garlic steak was tough. Some meats were also a bit too salty. But their pros outweigh the cons because it was $ 30 for all you can eat steak and salad bar. :) I also like their cheese bread but was sad you had to order it through the waiter each time you wanted more. Our server was attentive and the meats kept flowing without a stall so those are all pros in my book. I would definitely recommend~ :)

Food is good, and I really like their sides and salad bar. I can’t eat too much meat; it fills me up easily, but since it’s all you can eat, I usually eat till I can’t move anymore. Of course, that’s the best part: all-you-can-eat. And you can be lazy and not have to get up, you get the meat brought to you. But you gotta get up for the sides, gotta have the sides with it. Great place for a date or get-together.

AH-mazing meats! and let’s be honest, that’s really the main reason one would go to a brazilian rodizio right? to get as much delicious, soft and tender cuts of different meats as possible. the parmesean pork and pepper steak were exceptional — i asked our gaucho to leave the entire skewer of both at our table(sadly this is not allowed). they also served garlic steak, rib eye, shrimp, chicken legs, sausage, short ribs, and bison(which was the only item that i did not opt for seconds because it was slightly too tough for my taste.) and even if you do not get dessert, be sure you try their grilled pineapple with sugar and cinnamon — a great way to end the evening! their salad and sides buffet selection was exceptional as well. lots to choose from — at least 5 different salad selections, grilled vegetables, quinoa, green beans, at least 3 different kinds of potatoes(their mashed potatoes was to die for), fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, and the list goes on and on. We also tried their caipirinhas — good flavors and definitely on the strong side. Friendly service, awesome ambiance, good for groups and for intimate dinners, clean bathrooms, and for $ 50 per person for dinner you definitely get your money’s worth — truly enjoyed our meal at the Grill from Ipanema!

I’ve heard great reviews from friends regarding The Grill From Ipanema prior and saw the Groupon deal so why not?! Went during lunch and it wasn’t too busy. I did make a reservation prior just in case and I would recommend doing so. The first thing I noticed was how spacious and well lit the place was… definitely able to host a huge gathering/party. There were sooooooooooo many different types of meats it was overwhelming. The servers rotate around with sticks of meats for you to try. I didn’t try out the salad bar(didn’t think it was worth it), but it looked nice? I didn’t have any problems with the servers or anything at all really. Both my friend and I left happily stuffed. Great place to try if you haven’t done so already. Highly recommend it.

Food is good. Meat is very variable, sometimes tender sometimes tough. Came here twice in the past month and the first time we had Victoria as our server and she was awesome and friendly. I could give her no tips to do her job better. This was at lunch service and the food was plentiful and service was fast. We came again at dinner and the service was slower since the tables were all packed and our waiter wasn’t as good. Overall, the house sirloin is my favorite as it was very flavorful and tender. I don’t know why dinner is $ 20 more than lunch, there is no material difference in the meats served. I only noticed that shrimp and ribeye were available where as lunch time we didn’t see those. Overall the servers are nice with a few quiet ones but their job is constantly bringing food. It’s a tough life being a gaucho(sp?). Great place would recommend the Brazilian steakhouse experience if you’ve never been. Salad bar is high quality and good.

Let me start by saying this place is immaculate every time I have ever been. The salads are fresh, and there is a constant variety! They have salads that have fresh mouth watering mango and even an octopus ceviche that is amazing! All of the servers remember us and what we like and even remember details of our lives! They are amazing! Especially Alberto at the bar. BEST margaritas and caipirinhas in the world! He is by far the most accommodating to us and all our friends! We had a reservation mishap(meaning we forgot to make a reservation) and THEY apologized and sat us at a table right away. They know how to treat you here! The meat is all delicious! Especially the rib eye, Parmesan pork, sirloin, picanha, and buffalo! Go hungry!!! This isn’t a meal for a small appetite! :)

This place is just amazing. It has this very smoothing, relaxing ambience from the moment you walk in. The host was really nice and patient. Apparently the guy I made the RSVP with made it for that night I called lol. She was kind and fast enough to get us seated right away despite the confusion. So about their salad bar tho… Ugh I wish I had a bigger stomach so I could of really went back there non stop. Lol. But I’m glad I got to taste a little bit of everything. I was saving room for the meat! All the meat they were serving was super delicious! Only thing that I would highly recommend, for me anyway, is to have them cook the meat just a while longer. Some meat were just a bit too pink for me. Made me gag a little. But I mean I know some people like that shit. The pineapple is my favorite! The way they prepare it, with the cinnamon too! Mmmm Highly recommend this place and to also get that groupon for $ 35. It’s actually really worth it. So check game, if you buy the groupon for $ 35 and you come here with one other person. Our bill totaled to $ 118, but with the groupon, it went down to $ 58. So that’s somewhat of a saving. Not much but still. Lol. Come here super hungry or super high with munchies full in effect!

First time there yesterday evening with two French colleagues and I actually chose it thanks to Unilocal review. I told them the best meat I’ve ever had was in Brazilian restaurants. We’ll I think they trust me now, and«the grill from Ipanema» is a perfect illustration. Ambiance is cosy, waitress(Andrea) charming, and food awesome! I recommended it to my suppliers today, and to my Unilocal friends.
