They’re CLOSED, as their website says… Yet they aren’t doing anything about their groupons. I ordered one for my husband, but now we will not be able to use it. We have ate here before, but it was not our favorite. They had a small rodizio and about 14 types of meats for dinner. With grilled pineapple. My favorite was the grilled shrimp. Well, sad for the loss but not really…

Wow! fumaca Went out of business after they had a groupon deal and still have their website up and running without any knowledge they were closed. And found out the hard way when I went to the restaurant with a reservation I made online with no problem.

rodizio time! lots of things to try at the bar, which i snuffled up too much of. i felt like i did need some veggies to balance out all of the impending meat. quinoa, rice salad, eggplant, asparagus, zukes… anyways, some of the meat was a little on the chewy side. maybe it wasn’t the best, but there was plenty of it. we had to take a break because we were starting to tap out a bit. i had to remember to breathe more slowly and deeply. staff was super friendly and kept checking on us. we were there a long time, and several times came and left while we were still seated happily munching away. i think they needed to check to see if we needed resuscitation. expect to waddle out of this place.

4 ½ ‘s if I could. Went for fiancé’s birthday. It was somethingb he had been wanting to try.(He had wanted to go to Ipanema, but reviews said they didn’t have lambchops. Fumaca reviews said they did and that the filet mignon was excellent-IT WAS!) Groupon had sold out, and I expected to use the Unilocal coupon, but when I went to pay, it had expired 10 months prior. This was the most expensive dinner I’ve ever had, but well worth it! The wait staff were friendly and even checked with us when we had our card turned over, so we didn’t miss a meat! My fiancé especially enjoyed the lambchop, parmesan pork and shrimp. My favorites were the filet mignon, tri tip and garlic sirloin. The grilled pineapple with cinnamon and sugar was the most interesting thing brought to us, and I would go back just for that! It was sweet and delicious and I never imagined pineapple could taste so good grilled! The salad bar was also delicious with an artichoke heart salad, mussels, fried cauliflower, and 6 different cheeses! The bleu cheese was perfect! PS. Try the Que Kinky-a watermelon and citrus cocktail that was seriously awesome! Side note: Don’t ask for steak sauce. You don’t need it, every meat is juicy and seasoned perfectly. They have chimichurri sauce if you must, but we loved ours sans sauce.

Came here on a groupon and was a little hesitant because we were the only ones there but the food was delicious and the servers were extremely attentive and friendly(I can be a little demanding at times). I recommend the sirloin, lamb chops, and filet mignon.

We went here on a Groupon and must say that the food is amazing here. We have been to rodizios around the country and this has been on top of the quality and selection of meats that are available. The meat is cooked very well and seasoned to perfection. The desert was very good and ideal after a heavy meal like this. I would say the only reason they lose a star is for the lackluster salad bar. The salad bar needs better items although the rice and beans was very good. The service was efficient and the people were attentive.

I don’t have pictures because I was starving and so was my husband. It has been awhile since I’ve had Brazilian food. It wasn’t bad for the price, until you flip the damn card over to red the men just keep coming with meats that are grilled on a rather large skewer. .MUCH.MEAT. If you like your meat and potatoes, this is the place for you. With the accompaniment of sides of course… like choice of beans(refried or balck), assorted cold salads(couscous, red quinoa, mixed grilled veggies), fresh fruit, crackers and cheeses. Come with an empty stomach.

We were disappointed when Ipanema(downtown Seattle) closed but had high hopes for Fumaca being it’s replacement. We visited this past weekend and I found the salad bar was quite a bit smaller than the one that was at Ipanema. The ambiance at Fumaca is drab compared to Ipanema’s bright open space and tiled floor reminiscent of the sidewalks on Ipanema beach. Our favourite of the meat selection was the sirloin. There was one that tasted like it was doused in garlic powder and a couple that I found too tough. Overall, I think it’s fairly average and it’s unlikely we’ll be coming back.

I use to be a fan of this place untili tried to go here twice and they were closed during there hours of operation. Absolutely ridiculous, how do you run a business like this? Epic fail, place is decent when it’s open but how do you know when it’s even open? Not coming back, sorry Chico

I was very excited to eat here and I thought it was A-OK! I was a little confuse about what to do at first because the host was kind of pausing a lot when he was doing his thing. The salad bar has a lot of options, some good, some not so good. Lots of the dishes were mixed into each other. Sloppy, sloppy, patrons! The meat was pretty enjoyable. I wish that the servers could remember that I wanted a rarer cut of meat. They came by quickly and were sawing away at their shanks of meat before I could open my mouth. When I was able to secure a juicy piece of rare meat, I was pretty happy. The outsides and ends of the meat were too dry for my tastes. I was quite fond of the grilled pineapple and I highly suggest that you consume some immediately.

There have been several Rodizio style Brazilian restaurants to come and go over the last several years in the greater Seattle area, some good and some just okay. Fumaça Brazilian Steakhouse is the latest entry into this unique category and it looks as they may be here to stay. The signature feature of this restaurant is the endless stream of meat that is brought to your table and carved on to your plate which is referred to as Rodizio style dining. The variety of meats is impressive and features a house special top sirloin, parmesan pork, bacon wrapped steak, beef ribs, spicy sausage, and a cheese steak among several other delicious options. There’s even grilled pineapple with cinnamon and, as if that’s not enough, your table also gets a small plate of fried bananas to much on as well. The service here is good as the staff is quick to fill drink glasses, clear plates, and check to see if everything is going okay. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere although the tables are packed in pretty tight. If you need to get up for any reason, you will most likely have to excuse yourself as you narrowly avoid brushing a nearby diner’s table. Although I have been to what I consider to be better Rodizio style restaurants, Fumaça Brazilian Steakhouse isn’t too far off the mark.

It surprises me to see that this restaurant is rated as highly as it is. Maybe I unluckily came on an off day, buy my friend and I had a horrible experience. We went for lunch and were the first people in the restaurant. It took close to 30 minutes until the first round of meat came out. We received some sort of pork, sirloin, pork sausage, chicken, garlic steak, and bacon wrapped steak. The pork sausage was bland and quite dry. The chicken was mediocore. All of the steak was WAY over salted(and I enjoy salty food). My friend literally had to spit out a piece of steak becuase it was too salty to eat. We also got the end cuts from all of the steak, so our pieces were over cooked and burnt. My friend got pork– and when she asked for a piece that wasn’t on the outisde, he asked if she wanted the red meat. I’m not food expert, but I don’t think pork is supposed to be red. The salad bar was the best part of the meal, and that’s not saying much. When we got back to work, we ate more food becuase lunch was so disappointing. I have never left a rodizio steak house hungry before. Service was incredibly slow. We were there for an hour and didn’t even get served all of the meat options. We had a living social, and still ended up paying $ 20 each for one drink and tax from the meal.

I ate a cow and a half and fell over and can’t get up. Ok, maybe not literally but it could have happened considering how much meat I ate. Let me start from the beginning. We came here on Fri night, like everyone else trying to use their Living Social before it expired. Holy cow was there a line and we had no reservations but we waited in the line hoping to get lucky. Crossing my fingers. The host said there would be a 10 minute wait and we could grab a seat at the bar. Hmmm…10 mins, I wondered? Is that a translation for 30 mins or so, give or take 20 mins? We sat at the bar and hubby got a beer. Looked at my watch and waited to see how long to would REALLY take. To my delight, 10 minutes! We were seated and the waitress was friendly but she forgot to ask the standard«have you been here before? This is how it works…» well, we’d been to a ridizio many yrs ago but a refresher would have been nice. A host stopped by the table and dropped the«flip card» and left with no explanations. Like newbies we were, we thought it was a coaster, ahem, and put it under my drink. When the meat guy walked right by us and we had no idea why, the nice couple sitting next to us told us that our«coaster» was the flip card. Oops. The meal… I have never eaten so much meat in my life! And I loved every minute of it. Yes, they say they have 17 kinds but I think we actually saw 13 of them. Not bad. Honestly, I think management must have taken these reviews to heart b/c we didn’t experience most of the other reviewer’s complaints. One-the meat came out relatively quick and kept on coming. We had pork sausage, bacon steak, garlic steak, special sirloin, lamb, tri-tip, cheese steak, chicken legs, bird sausage, ribeye, filet mignon and grill shrimp. Phew… that’s a LOT of meat. By the way, these shrimp were not undercooked as a previous reviewer mentioned. They were fully cooked yet juicy. I actually had a 2nd round of those. We skipped the bacon chicken. After trying almost every kind of meat they offered, my advice is go right for the tri-tip, special sirloin and filet mignon. The tri-tip and sirloin had a nice crusty grilled exterior and a wonderful smokey taste. Both were very well seasoned and not overly salty. The meat was tender and cooked about medium. The filet was the tenderest cut and literally melt-in-your-mouth good. As for the salad bar, it’s like what everyone said. Cheese, olives, asparagus, mushrooms, corn and rice dish, brussel sprouts, black-eyed peas w/kale, snow peas, green beans and peas, grilled eggplant and squash and many more dishes. I really enjoyed the variety but yes, more would have been nice, i.e. empanadas and plantains. The one recommendation I would make to the owner, please label your food on the salad bar. Most people can figure out obvious foods like eggplant and squash, but there were some stuff on there more non-traditional and mixed with various ingredients so some people may be hestitant to try or like me, where I loved a dish but had no idea what it was. Overall, expectations were beyond met and then some based on previous bad reviews. I think they must have improved from months ago b/c our dining experience was excellent. Oh, last thing, I guess they no longer bring out the empanadas and fried bananas as previous reviewers mentioned. It would have been nice to have but I’m ok with that. More room for everything else.

Scored a livingsocial deal so off we went! The flavors and smells are a nice departure from the usual restaurant fare, and the service treated us very well. The salad bar had several dishes, which I enjoyed… but none had the ‘wow’ factor to me. For a buffet, I don’t have high expectations, but for $ 40 a person, I would’ve expected a little more. After getting a fill of the salad bar, there were several meat dishes offered, garlic beef, sirloin, pork… and more. I was dissapointed that there was no seafood offerings, but then again, it’s a brazilian STEAKhouse. The sirloin was probably the best meat option of the night, the other meats were not especially flavorful but they were tender. The temperature of the meat was not warm enough in my opinion. All in all, for the price we paid for the LS deal, plus drinks, this was an excellent value. If we had paid full price, not so much. But hey, that’s what these deal sites are here for, right? Lastly, they have an extensive drink menu with wonderful fruity drinks for the ladies!

I truly wanted to love this place. I have been to the(now closed) Ipanema restaurant downtown, and then to Amazon Grill in Bellevue(also closed.) This place is staffed by a combination of the people who used to work at those locations. on their website it states that they felt like a part of them was missing since closing the other locations, so they wanted to open up a new one on their own. Good for them. I was sad when both of the other locations closed, and was really excited when I noticed the restaurant out of the bus window on my way home one day. So a few weeks went by and my boyfriend and I decided to try it out for Valentine’s day. The servers were so very nice, and were patient and explained a few of the drinks to us while we were trying to decide. I wasn’t very excited about the first drink I tried, it was called a Caipiriwi, a kiwi-based drink, but the second one was very delicious — Coco Rico martini… more of a very sweet dessert drink, but it was delightful. We both went for the rodizio for dinner, and were excited to load up on massive amounts of meat. We started with the salad bar, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed, especially compared to the large selection I’ve seen at other Brazillian restaurants. It was mostly cold selections, with one or two soups at the end, which I didn’t try. The mango salad was quite good, and they had a nice fresh fruit selection, but otherwise I didn’t find anything else that I loved. We both enjoyed a lot of the meats we were served, particularly the bacon-wrapped steak, and the parmesan pork chop. The dinner itself was $ 40, and I know I should’ve stuffed more in to get my money’s worth, but for a normal person eating a normal amount, it was just too expensive for me. The three places I’ve eaten Brazillian at all charged $ 40, so I know it’s the norm, but I just couldn’t eat myself into a meat coma like I’ve done the other two times. Between 2 drinks and dinner, it was $ 75 for each of us(incl. tax and tip.) I appreciated the extras they brought out, a chocolate-covered strawberry and fried bananas(YUM! those are always a favorite.) I will likely be back to try happy hour, or one of their entrees, but between the disappointing salad bar, and the price of dinner, I don’t know if I’ll be back for the rodizio experience.

Came here on A Saturday a little bit before 5pm. It was empty when we’d first got there. Less than an hour, this place was completely packed. The foods were ok. Not to my liking, but glad to say that I got to experienced it. However, my Hubby enjoyed this place because he’s such a meat eater. He finished every cuts. To be quite frank, I’d took a bite of all of the meats. The only meat I enjoyed was the lamb. The pineapple with cinnamon was good too. Wished I would have hit piled up more food from the salad bar, lol. This probably isn’t a fair review because I am not big on meats, BLANDMEATS. My Husband would give this place a 5 star. He’s already talking about coming back w/o me because we won’t get our $ worth. THESERVICEWASGREAT!!! Our waitress kept checking up on us and always refilled our beverages. We’d left her a huge tip.

We went here as a group of 6 for my boyfriend’s mom’s birthday. We all had Living Social vouchers, and were excited to get our meat on! I was a little bit wary based on some of the negative reviews on here, but I was pleasantly surprised! Positives: great«salad» bar. Not as extensive as Ipanema’s, but very wonderful. When they say«salad bar,» they mean unique, fresh, and delicious dishes including grilled mushrooms, cheeses, smoked meats, black beans and rice, and a variety of salads. The meat was all delicious, tender, and juicy. The servers came by often, and we always had something yummy. We couldn’t say no! We especially liked the top sirloin. The service was good. Some of the staff don’t speak the greatest English, but they do their best and are very friendly. They brought the most AMAZING flan for the birthday girl. I don’t even like flan, and I wanted more than a few bites! So creamy! The fried bananas and grilled pineapple were also a treat. Negatives: we occasionally had to wait for things like drinks, but they were very busy. The garlic steak was everyone’s least favorite. The meat was gristly and had too much garlic on it. Also, they placed us in the dreaded corner table. At a buffet, this is not a good design. It’s inconvenient to go to the salad bar. So, if you’re looking for a special place for dinner, I would recommend Fumaca!

After reading some of the negative reviews on here, we went in having just average expectations. After dining there however, any worry I had was gone. The food was great and flavorful. Every couple minutes someone new was at our table giving us a new type of meat. I’ll say the same thing a few others have, if it’s bacon wrapped… skip it. They’re using bacon to disguise meat that isn’t as good. And it’s not amazing bacon. Be sure to get a few helpings of the cinnamon/sugar roasted pineapple — that stuff is like crack. Also, ask for fried bananas at the end of the meal! Don’t come here in a hurry. To get the most out of it you’re going to be there at least 1.5 hours.

A solid Brazilian Steakhouse! Brazilian bbq is one of my favorites. Their meats are juicy and authentic. My favorite is the house sirloin. They have variety of sides at the buffet. That will keep you stuffed. Their wine selection isn’t very extensive. It seemed like they only had one guy going around the room with the skewers of meat. I would suggesting loading up if you find a favorite because you don’t know when it will come around again. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely come back again.

Went to eat here for dinner today. Seems like all the Rodizios are all not as sucessful as I thought it would be. Who could turn down a meat buffet? Well, I get vegetarians would do so. I was pretty impressed with the selection of meat. We arrived around 6:45 to eat there, and the meat was not coming out as fast as I thought it would. I think it was because we were sitting closer to the wall. Who knows, later, the meat was all coming out. I think my favorite was the shrimp and the filet mignon! I wish that the place was a little more attentive to the patrons sitting in the inside, but thats unfortunate. On the plus side, their buffet veggies, cheese, etc, was pretty goood and they were nice to take 2 livingsocial deals for our 1 table. So yay for that. I think that if we were craving a glorious meat buffet, we will be returning to this place.
