If you are a meat lover, you’ll love this place. The meat selection is great. The price can feel steep if you are not a big eater. Come hungry and you’ll find this place to be a great deal for the money you pay. Good service, the salad bar is amazing and the restaurant looks great and has killer views.

Overpriced and definitely far from Brasilian. I took my relatives from Brasil here for dinner and they were not impressed. $ 60 a person and they didn’t have classic dishes, salads or even Guarana! The meat was tough and missing flavor. I must say the staff was awesome and, when we could gain their attention, they were very accommodating. If you’re looking to spend $ 60 a head for quality I’d look elsewhere. However if you’re looking to taste a variety of meat on skewers this is your place. Also be careful with the fine print on your Groupon purchase.

Came on a Friday night and although we didn’t get a window seating, the booths were super comfortable and luxurious. There was something slippery on the ground where I was sitting, maybe just not mopped correctly, but that’s besides the point. FOOD: Mushroom Risotto(from the bar), Cheese Bread(side dish), and Ribs! The servers with the meat keep coming so grab some food right when you get seated so you can snack in between the meats. DON’T eat all the salad bar or side dishes right away though! You’ll regret stuffing yourself before eating the meats(which is what you came here for). My boyfriend and I only got one serving of meat each time they came by because we were determined to try everything; we managed to, but were still super stuffed by the end. SERVICE: super friendly and attentive Our server was super attentive with our water and empty plates. When we were taking a break from our food she would ask us if we wanted to request any meats that she could send over. One minor complaint was when we first got seated she handed us a bottle of VOSS water and asked us if we wanted«water or tap.» After she broke the seal of the VOSS bottle I had a feeling that we would be charged for bottled water(it was $ 5.50/bottle). So unless you’re adversely against tap water, make sure not to make the same error we did. Overall, great service, tons of food. If you’re a meat lover, you’d love it! If you’re a vegetarian, less so… But disclaimer: I’m not a huge fan of meat but it was still worth the money.

Wow. My S.O. and I went to Novilhos for dinner last night and it was spectacular. It is pretty pricey, but there are ways to make it more worth it. First tip: do not load up on the salad/side bar. My S.O. had several scoops of rice and, subsequently, did not have nearly as many cuts of meat(those were some expensive scoops of rice!). Second tip: avoid bubbly beverages! Stick with water or iced tea so you don’t get too full too fast. Finally, make a reservation in advance and ask for a table as close to the water as possible. It was pretty sweet watching paddleboarders, canoers, and sea planes take off and land. The atmosphere was pretty darn good – modern but understated. The clean lines and minimal décor really made the water view paramount. Aline was our server and she was wonderful! She checked in regularly but also gave us time and space to simply enjoy the experience. Novilhos is ABSOLUTELY going to become my go-to restaurant for special occasions. As my S.O. said many times throughout the night, «We are eating like royalty!»

My major complaint is the atmosphere. I felt like I was in a restaurant right out of the late 80’s, early 90’s. Décor, you name it. They even had a Nordstromesque keyboard player singing songs like Endless Love. The meat was generally fairly good. Pork loin was aggressively seasoned. Chicken was unfortunately overcooked. The filet minion was delicious. The salad bar definitely had a good selection. My husband said the risotto was tasty. The sides were mediocre as were the desserts. I don’t know, I was hoping for an authentic, Brazillian experience and I walked away feeling like I had just left a Disneyland version of that. We won’t be going back.

Ok, honestly, it is not worth $ 57. Yes, they have 16 different types of meat, however, it isn’t worth $ 57. We waited all night for the lamb, finally we asked for it and the seasoning they put on it taste horrible… what a waste… the desserts were«ok»… The only thing I really liked about this place was the salad bar. The salad bar was excellent!!! I should have just paid to eat the salad bar… they had potatoes, mushroom risotto, mushroom salad, and a lot of other stuff that tasted better than the meat. The view is great, service was«ok» … the boys that come around with the meat speak with a very strong accent so a lot of the time, we couldn’t understand them. –_– Will I come again, more than likely no. However, If I do, I’ll just get the salad bar. We don’t have a place like this in Hawaii so I just had to try…

The assortment of meats was impressive! I have been to many Brazilian Steakhouses and this was one of the best. The meats were so good that I didn’t even go to the salad bar. Some folks in our party did and they said it was good as well. We tried all five desserts. All were very good but you have to get the Brazilian flan at least. The Gauchos were very quick and the servers were very attentive. Will definitely come back!

ByThe food was excellent and service was not so great only problem was our server never came back. No drinks, no coffee, no teas… nada. we had to start leeching off of other servers for help. it really is good food but kind of lacking in motivation and follow through.

I have very mixed feelings about our experience at Novilhos. At first we were wow’d with the location(great views of the lake) and the front staff. Incredibly friendly and courteous. The meat servers were great, funny, and very prompt; the rest of the servers though were completely lacking. We initially were served promptly but by the end of our dinner, we were struggling to even get anyone to come by the give us a dessert menu(we finally had to start asking the meat servers for help getting regular servers to come by). I’d say about half of the meat choices were good, the others were total misses; by this I mean totally dry and tasteless. The music playing in the restaurant was also a complete buzzkill. When you’re paying $ 60+ /plate and are trying to have a nice date night dinner, Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson blaring the whole time is no good.

Everything was phenomenal the view was spectacular the filet mignon was to die for, and the service impeccable. I could not ask for a better Mother’s Day. They even gave us a free dessert to say thank you. I would recommend to anyone. It was a little expensive but worth every single penny. Typically I hate buffets because the seem like cesspools of germs. But this was something to behold with thee fresh white fish ceviche, mango salsa, fresh meats and cheeses, to their phenomenal, creamy, rich wild mushroom risotto. Truly a wonderful restaurant. I look forward to the next time I’m able to dine at Novihlos Brazilian steakhouse.

Yet again this place never seems to disappoint! This time around my fiancé and I went for his birthday dinner accompanied by my cousin and her boyfriend, so I guess a double you could say. It was also my cousins birthday too which made the dinner even more fun! So it was my fiancé, cousin and cousins boyfriend’s first time. Like always they escorted us to our reserved table facing the window(HIGHLYRECOMMENDANYONETORESERVE A TABLEANDADDANYSPECIALREQUESTS) then our server took our drink orders and explained the whole process of the dinner and how it works. The dinner was well explained for those first timers. And then … we feasted!!! The food is amazing like I’ve said on here before. Their salad bar is endless, the meat carved right in front of you is to die for and please please please trust me on this one, you have to try their mushroom risotto at the salad bar! Anyways, after dinner they offered both birthday boy and girl a complimentary dessert of their choice! They came out with a candle on each dessert and employees joined in to sing hapy birthday to them. Overall the dinner and experience wad amazing and I would really like to thank you staff at the South Lake Unions Novilhos because they treated us so well and did all they can to help make my fiancé and cousins birthday special. They also included a 30% off coupon for the next time we drop in! I can’t wait to go back :)

I went here for lunch with my aunt a couple weeks ago and the service was exceptional — our server was from Brazil :) This is one of those places where servers come around with hunks of meat & slice it off for you. There is a salad bar with lots of veggies, deviled egg with anchovy, risotto, bruscetta, olives, etc. You get fried polenta friya(polenta sticks), fried plantains with cinamon & pao de quijo(cheese bread) with your meal, but I recommend going light on the salad bar to get a chance to try all the meat you want! My mouth is watering as I write this. We got a table by the window and the restaurant is right on the water, which was a fantastic view. They gave us a coupon for $ 30 off(dinner only), so I will definitely be back!

Just amazing. Everything was delightful — from the gorgeous view to the outstanding service to the most delectable food. We made reservations via OpenTable but didn’t really need them because it was slow(we went around 6 pm on Easter Sunday). They accommodated our request to sit by the window which had a gorgeous water view. The servers worked together as a team and ensured we had everything we could want or need. The food was simply amazing. This was by far the best Brazilian steakhouse we’ve visited. What are you wasting time for? Stop reading this review and head here immediately for an awesome meal!!!

My fiancé and I came here for Valentine’s day since we were really missing our Fogo de Chao brazilian bbq place in San Diego and The Grill From Impanema in downtown Seattle really let us down. We were super happy we came! I admit that it is not as good as Fogo, but it is pretty darn close! The meat servers came around frequently and we got to try nearly everything that night – which is great, considering we went on a big holiday when slow service is sometimes an issue. No issue here! The meats were seasoned really well and the servers often asked us how we liked our meat cooked, which was a nice touch. The salad bar was large and there were many options. Best thing they had was the mushroom risotto everyone on Unilocal talks about. You guys weren’t wrong! It was SOOO good. I probably overdosed a little on the risotto, but you know. thug life. Can’t wait to come back here.

This was my first experience with Brazilian food. I, myself, love all kinds of food, so I had a feeling I would enjoy this place. The staff was courteous and professional. The food was tasty, delicious, and visually appealing. However, there really was nothing special about any particular dish that was offered that spoke to me. I’m not very picky at all, I loved all the food, especially the lamb, it just didn’t leave a lasting memory. The parmesan chicken was unfortunately quite dry as well. We waited at the bar while we were seated. The bar area was very memorable, however, and they have happy hour so I definitely will be back to see what it has to offer :)

This restaurant is amazing. The best Brazilian steak house I have ever been too. If you want a certain type of meat just ask them and they will bring it to you. You don’t have to wait for them to bring it to your table. Service is impeccable. The hostess was top notch. We had a mix up with our reservation and she still was able to accommodate us. We had an amazing time here. Salad bar is amazing. Meat was magnificent. I’ve had brazilian steak house in LA and Vegas and so far this has been the best one.

When it comes to exceptional customer service, this place comes nothing short of it. The salad bar was created to to demonstrate high standards and utmost cleanliness. The price for dinner was fairly average in comparison to other Brazilian steakhouses. It was the taste of the meat that had me take down 1 star from the 5. Some of the cuts were burnt(on rare and medium cuts) and some had unfairly cooked bacon. My only 2 small concerns. Overall, the experience was fantastic and I’m looking forward to going back there again when I’m back in Seattle. Oh, and let’s not forget that the location has amazing views of the city and water.

Man, this place is an experience! This was my first foray into the Brazilian Steak House style of dining and it was a good time. The cheesy bread is easily one of the best things they have there. When they initially brought out the cheesy bread, I decided I would have been happy with a bucket of those with maybe some meat on the side. But the meat is very good too. Pro-tip: hold out as best you can until they bring out the Filet Mignon. It comes around much less frequently than everything else, but it is definitely the best thing they have in the meat rotation. The parmesan covered meats are pretty good too. I’m curious as to how they get so many temperatures into the same slab of meat(ie one end will be medium rare and the other end will be well done). I typically like my meat rare– the bloodier the better, and it seemed like the lowest temperature they had available on most cuts of meat was medium rare. And even when I asked for the medium rare cuts, they looked and tasted like medium. Not a big deal, but if you’re paying top dollar for meat like this, I think it makes sense to be able to get it at a doneness of your specification, right? The salad bar in the middle consists of more than just salad. There are some small vegetable plates, cured meats, bruschetta, risotto, and other things of that nature. The stuff at the salad bar is palatable, but I would recommend avoiding the rookie mistake of filling up a plate at the salad bar since that only occupies room in your belly that could(and should) be filled up by meat. I find the ambiance to be at odds with the style of dining/serving food. It has the décor, setting, and general feel of a Daniel’s Broiler(one of it’s SLU neighbors), but the casual way that they bring food out on skewers feels like you’re at your friends backyard BBQ where shirts are optional. I don’t know. I guess it feels like they’re trying to be fancy just for the sake of being able to charge more for the food. It is good and the service is prompt and friendly, but I am definitely of the opinion that you’re getting gouged for price. I’m not itching to come back here ASAP since I think for that kind of money you can get better food in Seattle, but it’s not the worst way you could spend an evening and it’s a dining style that everyone should experience at least once.

Came here for my birthday dinner tonight and it was outstanding! We got here right at 5pm and we had the first picks of everything! The salad bar alone could be a meal omg I was not expecting so many options just from a salad bar! I told myself I wasn’t going to try everything so I just had the mushroom risotto, rice, a piece of bruschetta, and broccolini. The mushroom risotto was so good! I highly recommend that along with the Garlic mash potatoes they bring to the table. Now for the meat. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. Amazing flavor and oh so tender! Obviously some cuts will be better then others as I wasn’t really a fan of the top sirloin, kind of tough and neither was I a fan of the meats with the cheese. But the garlic steak, filet wrapped in bacon, tenderloin, and picanha were my favorites! So tender and had tons of flavor! And they ask how you like it and if they don’t have it they run back and get you how you like it! And for dessert the lemon cake was to die for! So good! The service was outstanding and our server Fernando I think was great and very nice and friendly! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who hasn’t gone or anyone visit from out of town. It’s great to experience this at least once! I will be back!

Best Brazilian steak house in Seattle. I’ve tried the other ones and this one is the most comparable to the ones in Las Vegas. The cheesy breads and the dessert n the meat. Yummers! Highly recommended.
